As Leonard was trying to figure out the intentions of the audience on the second floor, his thoughts were interrupted.

Thud.

The mask strap of the Crown Prince, who had been trembling next to him, snapped. The mask then fell to the floor.

Whoosh—

From a distance, the black nun turned toward them.

“I sll human.”

She was swiftly running in their direction.

“Don’t move. Stay quiet.”

Noah, still holding Leonard, spoke in a low voice.

But if no action was taken now, the Crown Prince would be in danger.

However, Noah seed more concerned about Leonard’s safety than the Crown Prince’s.

“Help... Help...”

The Crown Prince, trembling in fear, grabbed Leonard’s sleeve, his face contorting with desperation. It was as if he had never asked anyone for help in his life, but now, with tears in his eyes, he clung to Leonard’s sleeve like it was a lifeline.

“Please... save... save ... Please...”

Leonard squeezed his eyes shut, trying to block out the situation.

The black nun was already right in front of them. Upon seeing the Crown Prince, she grinned widely, her mouth splitting open all the way to her ears, exposing sharp, terrifying teeth.

“Human scent. A human. A human.”

The black nun seed intent on staying on the second floor until she found Leonard.

Should he ignore the Crown Prince’s pleas in this situation?

Even though he had prioritized solving the ghost story problem to uncover the truth behind Raven's death, was he really the kind of person who could disregard soone in need?

He wasn’t like this before.

‘So? What kind of person was I before?’

He wasn’t sure anymore. All he had thought about for so long was Raven that he couldn't even rember clearly who he had been.

But one thing was certain: he wanted to save the Crown Prince.

If he coldly ignored him, his own heart wouldn't be at peace.

Yes. This was sothing he needed to do for his own peace of mind.

Leonard finally pushed Noah away and, using his teeth, uncorked the glass bottle of holy water and sprayed it at the black nun.

Then, with a cross, he struck her forehead.

Sizzle.

Kaaargh—!

She scread in pain, but she didn't vanish. She seed to be an exceptionally powerful evil spirit.

Leonard quickly picked up the mask and covered the Crown Prince’s face, then turned to Noah.

“There’s only one way out of here. We need to jump down from the second-floor railing...”

Just as Leonard was about to tell Noah the next plan, he realized that all the spirits in the second-floor audience were gone.

“Huh?”

Neither Noah nor the Crown Prince were there anymore. Only the black nun and Leonard remained on the second floor.

“Where... where did everyone go?”

The plan he had been going to tell Noah—to jump down to the second floor—had been triggered by the strange behavior of the spirits.

The spirits were all gesturing toward the railing, signaling for Leonard to follow.

What was strange, however, was that when the black nun looked at them, the spirits would pretend not to see her, but when she turned away, they signaled to Leonard as though they were trying to pass information without being noticed.

The thick theater door still hadn’t opened, and the black nun showed no signs of disappearing.

Leonard had tried pulling on the theater door and banging on it, but it remained tightly shut.

Breaking the door seed impossible; it was a soundproof door, thick enough to prevent any kind of forceful entry.

“Human scent. Gloria scent. I’ll kill you. This ti, I’ll get my revenge. I’ll get my revenge.”

The black nun, having not been vanquished, was recovering.

He had to act before she fully regained her strength.

Leonard made the decision to jump down to the second floor. Just as he grabbed the railing...

[...Kkan! .........Di!]

[Le...! Jeong...... ......Oh!]

He heard voices calling from far away.

He tilted his head, looking around, but still, ~Nоvеl𝕚ght~ only he and the black nun were on the second floor.

Taking a deep breath, Leonard looked down at the railing.

On the first floor, he could see the empty stage and the orchestra mbers still playing their instrunts.

The audience was all looking up at him.

They all extended their hands and pointed their fingers toward the second-floor railing, then pointed at the stage. It seed like they were signaling for him to jump down.

‘This could be a trap.’

Kaaack—

At that mont, the black nun approached him.

Leonard looked around once more to see if there was anywhere to run, but there was nowhere. If the situation had co to this, he had no choice but to trust his instincts.

He made up his mind to jump down from the second-floor railing.

There was no other option.

He threw himself down.

Joshua was in a state of panic and could no longer think clearly.

Yet, the one thing he rembered was that lody had saved him and sacrificed herself.

“Human scent. A human. A human.”

As the black nun approached, Joshua, for the first ti in his life, begged for help in a pitiful manner.

He had never been so desperate.

‘How could anyone help in this situation?’

He didn’t expect anything. It seed like there was no way to escape death at this point.

However, perhaps moved by his desperate plea, lody moved.

She suddenly broke free from Noah’s embrace and drew the black nun’s attention.

‘Wait, why is no one paying attention to Noah?’

Even the black nun desperately ignored Noah and passed by, almost as though she feared him.

‘If Noah wrapped himself around and lody...’

He had thought about it, but it seed impossible. The human body couldn’t hide both an adult male and a female student from an evil spirit’s sight.

At that mont, lody threw holy water at the black nun and pressed the cross against her forehead.

Then, she looked around, her face filled with surprise.

“Huh? Where did... everyone go?”

Everyone was gone? What did that an?

Joshua, still in agony, watched the black nun writhing in pain and exhaled with relief.

Then, he turned to lody to express his gratitude.

“Thank you for saving , my lady. I will repay this...”

Joshua couldn’t finish his sentence.

lody, who had been standing next to him, was suddenly at the top of the second-floor railing.

He hadn’t seen her move. How did she end up there so quickly?

“Damn.”

Noah muttered a curse and ran.

He didn’t even have ti to grab her. The mont he ca to his senses, she was already on the second-floor railing.

Behind her, the black nun was following.

“Wait! Damn it! lody!”

“Lady! Focus!”

Before they even reached the railing, lody had already fallen.

Joshua grabbed his head in distress, collapsing in place.

lody was dead.

She had saved him twice.

It was his fault. All of it was his fault.

As Joshua sat there, broken, Noah didn’t hesitate to follow lody and jumped from the second-floor railing.

Joshua jumped to his feet and clung to the railing.

“No! Not you too!”

Hanging from the second-floor railing, Joshua scread. The shock felt like thunder in his head, and it was hard to think properly.

‘No, this can’t be. Co on. Focus, Joshua. You’re the Crown Prince.’

Grinding his teeth, he forced himself to focus and looked below, but there was no sign of Noah or lody.

The theater was completely empty. Both the second-floor and first-floor seats, and the stage, were all empty.

It felt as though he was left alone in a theater where the curtain had fallen.
