Gloria, seeing Helen destroying the portal, internally sighed happily that Helen was full as she had no idea why she even talked about burning down the hospital or bringing her daughter in the argunt.
It as sothing was dumbing down her IQ without her realising it, Gloria only realised that she was literally used her own daughter to threaten the S-Rank who normally don’t give a fuck about anything else.
Thankfully she was able to manage throwing random nonsense hoping it works and it did.
Yeah anyone from the Phoenix bloodline are immune to the Phoenix flas but as inford before, When Gloria accidentally broke through the S-Rank, her body absorbed every spiritual energy and mana it found like an endlessly hungry void vortex.
Not only it suck off much mana and spiritual energy of Grace but it also sucked up her bloodline and if Gloria didn’t break her own spiritual core, it would have sucked up the life energy of Grace killing her.
So Grace was born crippled, not physically in sense but in a way that all her potential was gone, along with her bloodline, being just a weak woman in this world.
Hence Grace would definitely be hurt by these flas, Not to ntion Helen can literally sense it if she wanted too, It’s childsplay to check the details of the normal person, So it makes no sense to lie to her.
Gloria shook her head to throw away all those unnecessary things as the brain IQ dampening effect on her was too much for her to think rationally, like to check why she was acting stupid.
She is or rather was the head of Phoenix family, thriving it under her watch, There is no way she would be this unless sothing was hamring her thinking process.

Gloria said to her feeling her soul was being weakened as she is just half-step S-Rank, still recovering her full powers.
Half-step doesn’t seem that far but it is an equal distance to go from F to A rank, So yeah, She is just half-step S-Rank, Her soul is not hardened by crossing her mortal limit.
Well technically it is but in a weakened state, that is why she is able to astro project in the first place, not anyone can do it as taking the soul out of body is like taking the battery of a phone, Shut the body off, In S-Rank it just puts on the autopilot, sending part of soul not whole one out of body.
Gloria did just that and now her ti is running out till her body would forcefully pull her soul back like a rubber band giving backlash to her soul.

Helen was on her demon mode as she as Gloria thought searched the whole hospital the mont the portal got closed, And as feared by Gloria found there is no 2nd Phoenix in this hospital.
This pissed her off, as in her eyes this Phoenix lied to her, taking her as a fool and she was actually fooled by these hotheaded lunatics.
For her there is no daughter. This Phoenix used dumb excuse to ss with her and it worked, making her confused whether to be angry or be embarrassed.
So she did neither as doing any of it ans giving Phoenix power over her and she rather die then admit that so low class firebird made her lose her control.

Gloria looked dead in her eyes as she said word by word before her now semi-transparent soul flew towards the ICU ward and entered back into her body but not before giving Helen a smug look.

Helen nearly lost her cool when she heard that damn nickna again, wanting to drag this fla bird back and show why S-Ranks stood at the Apex of hierarchy but she didn’t.
She just watched as Gloria’s soul flew away with disdain, Why did she even bother to use her powers on anybody?
Yeah she is Phoenix and even Half-step S-Rank but that doesn’t an shit as anyone below S-Rank are just ants in her eyes, Gloria is just a bigger ant, that’s all.
"Now, since when did my hospital get haunted?"
She asked herself looking at the elevator area then upwards with a confused look.
Just now when she spread her spiritual power to search for the 2nd Phoenix, she noticed an anomaly in the elevator shaft area.
She tried to act it but stopped as she notice the 2 life readings trapped into the anomalous space, Normally she don’t give a fuck as her vigilante days ended the mont those ungrateful bastards gave her that damn nickna.
But she cares because she sensed there is Alia inside and so weird power reading of the 2nd person.
Weird as it was giving her the F-rank warrior when she checked but every cell in her body unconsciously scread of terror as she raised re thought to attack it as that is her normal thinking process.
et soone new, See if she can kill them, Forget those people afterwards.
But now her soul terrified by that thought, As her S-Rank instincts were warning her to not attack, do not provoke in her being.

Helen however didn’t flinch at it, rather seeing Alia was in close proximity to that 2nd person and that person still alive aning it has to be soone Alia tolerates.
So everyone else gets rejected as Alia only tolerates Alex, Anyone else she uses them.
As for her soul screaming? She scratches it up to think Amara be with him in shadow, protecting him, that is why Helen did not run off to rescue Alex from that anomalous space.
Alia’s safety was not even considered by her.
