Rita broke out in the cold sweat hearing what Alex said, She had no intention of calling him a liar as even a virgin like her knows it is a taboo to call n a liar.
Even if you know they are lying, It's better to just go along with it to avoid unnecessary drama.
So Rita knew she fucked up, Though she is did not think Alex is lying, she also did not belive what he said.
She rather tilting towards a conclusion of the informant gave him the wrong information, this way no one get hurt, other then that informant that is.
Alex would not be lying as for him, what he said is the truth, while she would also be spared from the shock of strict rule enforcing formal dragon lady used her authority to save her student.
"You what? You clearly said you do not believe , which ans you are calling a liar, Am I a liar?"
But before Rita could say sothing to ease the situation, Alex was having none of it, He cut her off mid sentence with his accusatory tone.
He inches forward till their tip of nose were almost touching, hitting her face with his hot breaths.
"*Poof*"
Rita's face turned crimson red visible to naked eyes, by his action.
She was shaking by the excitent as her eyes locked onto his deep ebony eyes.
She felt like she would be lost in them if she kept staring at such intensity and yet she just couldn't look away nor able to command her body to move.
It is like soone has put a freeze spell on her, locking her in this beautiful scene.
Thankfully her eyes were focused on his face, if not her heart might have stopped beating if she found out this man was standing naked, with an erect manhood in front of her.
"....*Sigh* You know, your so-called dragon lord tried to assassinate today, which is why I know he fell to the B-class warrior."
Alex was prepared to counter argue anything Rita would say but this woman just kept looking at him.
'Why did the goddess make him so handso? Wait, even she can't make anyone more beautiful than him, He is one of his kind.'
Alex's narcissist side once again took its head out as he praised himself, Still now he had no option other than to move forward with his story without any buildup.
He didn't lie, Jake indeed attacked him today, though not wanting to outright kill him but he wanted to ruin his beautiful face, that is worse than killing him, It's a cardinal sin.
"Wait what? Are you okay, Are you hurt? Let's go to the hospital for a checkup."
Rita suddenly ca back to her senses when she heard she was attacked by Jake.
No matter how much she dislikes him, he is still an S-rank powerhouse with support of the previous dragon lady, even if he is weakened as Alex said, there is no saying how many tricks he has under his sleeve.
He is known as the hellhound in his rcenary background, Every ti he entered the battlefield he just tore his opponents apart like a feral beast.
A soil would soak up in the blood of his enemies, Turning into misty red.
The only reason he stopped going in the battlefields is because awakened B-ranks and above are forbidden to participate in the conflict of the mortals.
If that was not the case, he would have still being a nightmare on the battlefield.
So when she heard that soone like that attacked Alex, she reasonably concern about him, She in panic asked questions in quick succession hesitating to reach out and personally check for injures.
"Of course I am alright, that can't be said for Jake though. Last I saw him, his unconscious body was being carried out by a few thugs, and it was all because of his stupidity. Who asked him to sneakily attack ?"
Alex nonchalantly answered her, Last ti he saw Jake, It was when Rebecca ordered her thug's to deal with it.
He didn't know what they do to him, But given Rebecca and Alia are quite similar in that regard, Though Rebecca is not a cold blooded psychopath, she still is a little sociopath.
So he can guess what they would have done to him, especially thugs around her. They were a wild card. He would not be surprised if they had taken sothing of him, not just things on him as compensation.
"Soone beat him? Who?...Her?"
Rita cald down hearing him say he is alright, She has so inexplicable trust in what he said making him even easily believe that invincible figure in her mind can also be beaten.
Of course then she thought of a person who can beat him, and when she thought of it, no one other than that woman lying naked on the table top ca to mind.
Yes, S-rank beastmaster like her can indeed beat weaker male counterpart with no doubt.
Still she didn't know why she question it, as an unreasonable thought erged in her mind. There is no way Alex, no matter how skilled he is, beaten weakened S-rank. It does not make any sense.
"Huh?! No I did, I sing him to death, sadly he didn't die. That master of his quite spoiled her student with lots of exciting things."
Alex gave her a confused look before revealing it was him who had beaten Jake.
It was not even that hard. He just sang one simple song and put him on the verge of death. If not for him possessing the Wrath of Lord, an artifact before the age of fall, He would have long since returned to the underworld.
After all, Unlike Nathan, Jake is just bait protagonist, it is way too easy to kill soone like him, Though doing so would an losing all his opportunities and pulling even stronger bait protagonists to appare.
Which is why he is alive, If not he had killed him on sight, in his weak state.
