In the forest, Qiao Sisi walked alongside Tang Wan, Sun Haotian, and Qi Le.
They were on their way to pick bananas.
This was a small island in Hainan, where tropical fruits like bananas and mangoes were abundant.
The production team had made arrangents with the locals, so the guests could pick as much as they wanted without worry.
The two n led the way, with the two won following behind.
Qiao Sisi hadn’t said much since her fall earlier, still looking sowhat unhappy.
Her mind kept replaying the scene from before and Fang Zhou’s gaze.
Did he think she did it on purpose? Intentionally got hit by the ball and acted pitiful to gain sympathy?
He must have thought that. Fang Zhou’s look said it all.
Qiao Sisi picked a blade of grass and began to tear it into pieces, feeling quite irritated.
Damn Fang Zhou, scolding for a woman he just t!
It made her furious. He better comfort , or I’ll never speak to him again!
Tang Wan, noticing her silence, knew she was angry and took the initiative to ask, “Sisi, does it still hurt? Maybe you shouldn’t carry anything later.”
Qiao Sisi snapped back to reality, gratefully saying, “I’m fine. I can manage. Don’t think I’m that weak!”
Thanks to Tang Wan’s reminder, Qiao Sisi finally realized that there were caras following them.
She forced herself to smile and resud her cheerful deanor.
Qi Le, seeing her perk up, joined in the conversation.
“Sisi, what’s your favorite fruit? Cherries or strawberries?”
Qiao Sisi turned to look at him. Qi Le was quite good-looking and had been very attentive. For an ordinary girl, he’d be a great choice.
Unfortunately, Qiao Sisi’s heart was set on soone else.
She smiled and shook her head gently, “Neither.”
“Then what fruit do you like?”
Qiao Sisi pointed to the bananas not far away, “Those bananas look pretty good.”
The banana trees in the distance were tall and straight, with clusters of bananas hanging pleasingly.
Back on the beach, so were bored and had started bragging and chatting.
Leading the conversation were Liu Hao and Dong Donghui. One was a voice actor, and the other a fashion magazine manager, both knowing plenty of gossip.
Though they spoke cryptically in front of the caras, everyone listened intently.
“In the voice acting world, the most famous scandal is probably that certain voice actor who ran off with the money.”
Liu Hao’s animated storytelling caught everyone’s interest.
“Hmm? What happened? Were you affected too?”
“Tell us more! This sounds interesting.”
Everyone was excited, eager to hear more, including the live stream audience.
Marketing accounts sotis had gossip, but often it was baseless, so no one believed it. Nothing beats hearing it straight from the source.
Fang Zhou, though not bragging, was sitting and listening while sipping a drink Han Xi had given him.
As he drank, he felt a cool gaze on him.
Looking towards the source, he saw Qin Yun, her eyes on his drink, seemingly asking, “Is it good?”
Fang Zhou avoided her gaze, turned in another direction, and joined the conversation to avoid her.
Qin Yun, amused by his actions, shifted her gaze to Han Xi.
Although Han Xi’s face remained cold, her eyes had clearly changed. The regret and frustration from earlier were gone, replaced by joy and relaxation.
It was obvious that Fang Zhou had played a part in this.
Fang Zhou indeed had the ability to lift soone’s spirits with just a few words. It seed Han Xi had a special place for him too.
Han Xi, being sensitive, quickly noticed Qin Yun’s gaze. She looked up and saw the complex emotions in Qin Yun’s eyes: curiosity, contemplation, and perhaps a hint of jealousy?
How could that be? She and Qin Yun had no connection.
This thought quickly left Han Xi’s mind. Unable to figure it out, she decided to ask directly.
“Why are you looking at ?”
Qin Yun quickly concealed her emotions and smiled.
“I was wondering, what’s your lipstick shade today? It looks really nice.”
Han Xi nodded in understanding.
“Armani 405. Want to see?”
She took out the tomato red lipstick from her bag, holding it up.
Girls always have endless topics to talk about, and sharing lipstick shades is common.
Qin Yun was montarily stunned but quickly recovered.
She also took out a lipstick, identical to Han Xi’s.
“I have this too. It’s my ex-boyfriend’s favorite shade.”
Qin Yun seed unfazed discussing her ex on a dating show.
The live stream audience erupted.
“Ahhh! They have the sa lipstick!”
“OMG, I have the sa shade too! It’s really flattering.”
“Am I the only one bothered that Qin Yun still has a lipstick her ex liked? Seems like she hasn’t moved on.”
Han Xi was also surprised, exclaiming, “What a coincidence! too!”
Her usually aloof face showed rare astonishnt.
What a coincidence? Because this was the lipstick Fang Zhou had given her. After finishing the first tube, she bought another herself.
With Fang Zhou right there, Han Xi couldn’t help but glance at him. He was chatting animatedly with the other n, oblivious to their conversation.
Han Xi didn’t think much of it since popular lipsticks are limited to a few brands and shades. It was normal to have overlaps.
Qin Yun, seeing this, gripped her lipstick tightly, glanced at Fang Zhou, and quickly looked away, whispering.
“What a coincidence.”
She lowered her eyes, her long lashes hiding the emotions within.
Could it really be such a coincidence? Qin Yun asked herself.
And just now, Han Xi’s gaze towards that man was filled with unmistakable emotion, clearly visible in the sunlight.
For so reason, the sun seed glaring and harsh, burning her skin, almost like her heart was aching.
