The car slowly drove back to the mountain, entering the school and stopping below the dormitory building.
It was probably because it was the weekend and everyone had drunk quite a bit, so they had gone to bed early.
In the two buildings, only a few lights were on, one being the staircase sensor lights, and the other from a room.
Zhang Zihang parked the car and was about to speak when Qiao Sisi beat him to it.
“You go ahead; I need to talk to Fang Zhou.”

As he walked, he texted his sister Zhang Zhiyin: “We’re back.”

Zhang Zhiyin clearly hadn’t gone to bed, waiting for his ssage, replying almost instantly.
Zhang Zihang shook his head, sighing. Convincing his sister to give up on Fang Zhou would be tough.
She had a love-struck brain, worrying about Fang Zhou even when drunk herself.
Tonight’s sky was full of stars, the moonlight bright, casting a glow on Qiao Sisi’s half face through the car window, making her look like a divine maiden.

Fang Zhou instinctively shifted his gaze from Qiao Sisi’s face to the window, seeing the school building’s faint outline in the moonlight.

In Fang Zhou’s view, the past should stay in the past, leaving good mories, not dragging it out to end in regret and unhappiness.
“So, you had a relationship in the past, right?”
Qiao Sisi’s understanding was spot on, easily deducing that Fang Zhou and Qin Yun knew each other before.
Given her knowledge of Fang Zhou, though he easily fell into relationships, he wasn’t casual about them.
In the short ti of the love show, he couldn’t have gotten so close to Qin Yun without prior acquaintance.
Fang Zhou blinked, hesitating to tell her.
After all, she had gone crazy over him wiping Zhang Zhiyin’s tears. Knowing Qin Yun was his ex might make her snap.
Qiao Sisi smiled, her sharp mind seeing Fang Zhou’s concern.

Qiao Sisi chuckled, opening the door and moving to the passenger seat beside him.

He decided to tell her the truth: “She’s my ex-girlfriend.”
A simple, clear statent.

She thought: As expected, just as I guessed.
“How long were you together? When did you break up?”
Qiao Sisi couldn’t resist wanting to know their story, despite the pain, seeking to understand Fang Zhou’s life away from her.
He was so cold, she couldn’t find him in gas, he always avoided her at university.
As her career grew, she had no ti to look for him.

Fang Zhou was stunned by her questions.
“Not long, less than three months. We broke up over a year ago.”

Fang Zhou’s tone was calm, knowing he needed to thank Zhang Zihang and Qiao Sisi for tonight.
But he also knew Qiao Sisi wouldn’t miss this chance to trouble him.
Usually, when she asked such questions, she already had an answer, rejecting whatever he proposed. So he asked directly.
