William stood by the window, his jaw clenched and fists tight as he stared into the dark night. His phone was gripped in one hand, waiting... until it finally rang.
He answered imdiately. "Yes?" His eyes narrowed as he listened, face growing even darker.
"Alright. Keep the area sealed. No dia. I’ll be there first thing in the morning."
He ended the call and let out a heavy sigh.
Sanya approached quietly, placing a hand on his back. "What did they say?"
"So helpers were rescued... but several are injured." His voice was low and tense. "They found four bodies."
Sanya’s hand froze. "Four?"
He nodded slowly. "Two of them... they believe are Sylvia and Tim."
Sanya’s brows pulled together. "Believe? So they’re not sure?"
"No ID yet. Just burned remains. But..." He turned to her, voice firm. "I don’t buy it. It’s too convenient. Tim’s not the type to die in a fire without a plan. Sothing’s off."
Sanya looked worried. "You think he faked his death?"
"I know he did," William said, pacing slowly now. "He’s not done yet. Not with what he’s started. He’ll co back when we least expect it."
Sanya stepped in front of him and gently cupped his cheek, forcing him to stop and look at her. "Then we’ll be ready. You have people watching, right?"
"I do," he said with a nod. "But I don’t want you or the rest of the family out alone. Especially now. Especially now."
"Understood." Sanya gave a small smile, steady and calm. "We’ll keep everyone safe. But you need to rest too, Will. You can’t protect anyone if you collapse from stress."
William managed a tired smile, leaning his forehead against hers.
"I’ll rest. Just... after I make sure Tim’s really gone. He’s behind all of this! He’s the root, so we need to uproot that man."
Sanya looked up at William, her eyes filled with concern but also quiet strength.
"I know," she said softly. "And we will. But not at the cost of your health, William."
William exhaled, jaw tight. "I can’t help it. Every ti I think we’re close to ending this, he slips away..."
She sighed, then she grabbed William’s hand and gently pulled him toward their bed.
"Co on now, let’s get so sleep. You’re still sleep-deprived," she said with a playful smile. "Recharge, so you’ll be more efficient tomorrow."
William raised a brow as Sanya pulled him toward the bed.
"You make it sound like I’m weak," he said, a smirk forming on his lips. "But I still have more than enough energy left in ."
Sanya rolled her eyes, amused. "You can barely keep those eyes open."
"Oh really?" he challenged. In one swift move, he gently pulled her down with him onto the bed and hovered over her, bracing himself with his arms on either side of her. "Because I feel just fine. Want to prove it?"
Sanya let out a soft laugh, placing a hand on his chest. "You’re supposed to be resting, not teasing."
William looked at her, eyes softening. "Resting can wait... but being with you, like this, helps breathe." He leaned in and captured her lips in a slow, lingering kiss, gentle at first, then deepening as his hand cupped her cheek.
Sanya responded, her fingers sliding into his hair as their kiss grew more intense, unspoken emotions passing between them. It was comfort, it was need, and it was love all at once.
She had missed William like this... close, warm, and fully present. Lately, he was always away. And even when he did co ho, she would often already be asleep. Most mornings, she woke up to an empty side of the bed, the scent of him lingering as a quiet reminder.
But she understood. She knew how much he was handling. That was why, when monts like this ca, she only wanted him to rest and recharge. Yet tonight felt different.
When he pulled her closer, she lted into his embrace. A soft moan escaped her lips as his hands road her body, his touch familiar and gentle. He slid his hand beneath the hem of her nightgown, his fingers tracing her skin with a slow, deliberate tenderness that made her heart race.
William kissed her deeply, savoring the mont as if trying to make up for all the nights they had missed. His hands moved with care, learning her all over again, and Sanya responded with the sa quiet longing that had built up between them over ti.
Their breaths mingled. Each touch, each whisper between kisses, spoke of love and comfort, of two people finding ho in each other despite the chaos around them.
William pulled down her panties, and Sanya helped him remove them with ease. Then she spread her legs, letting him know how ready she was for him. Yes, just from their kissing, she was already so wet.
She moaned as William positioned himself between her legs and felt how his hardness brushed against her folds.
"William," she called his na breathlessly as he montarily released her lips and kissed along her jaw and neck, licking and suckling while caressing her mounds. Her nightgown was thin, and she could feel the warmth of his palm on her breast.
She gasped deliciously when she felt the tip of his rod teasingly slide inside her entrance, then gently pull away, only to push back in with one swift motion. He repeated the slow movents, making her toes curl.
"Oh, wife, I missed you so much. Ahhh, you feel so good," William groaned as he continued his thrusts inside her. Sanya wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him in for a kiss as their bed continued to rock.
Sanya moved her hips and t each thrust until they were moving in the sa rhythm... faster, harder, and deeper... until both of them reached their peak. Sanya’s body jolted while William stiffened as he released his seed inside her.
"I love you so much," William whispered, resting his full weight on top of her, his face buried in the crook of her neck.
"I love you, too," Sanya replied with a soft smile, running her fingers through his hair.
But a mont later, she noticed sothing strange... he didn’t move.
Then she heard it.
"William?" she called, her smile twitching.
A light snore escaped from him.
She blinked, then chuckled softly. "Unbelievable," she whispered, shaking her head in amusent. "You really fell asleep on ?"
Still, she didn’t push him off. Instead, she wrapped her arms around him, closed her eyes, and let sleep take her too, with a smile still on her lips.
