Rain and Alexander returned to the mansion just after lunch. The mont they stepped inside, Rain asked a nearby servant, "Is Sanya back with William?"
"Yes, Madam Rain," the servant replied. "They’re all in the billiards hall, playing."
Rain and Alexander headed straight to the billiards hall. As soon as they entered, William, Father Rock, and Uncle Ben imdiately pulled Alexander over to join their ga.
anwhile, Rain joined Sanya, Aunt Vernice, and Aunt lanie, who were sipping tea while cheering for the n.
"I don’t feel like tea right now," Rain said when Sanya started pouring her a cup.
Sanya blinked at her, confused.
"Actually, Sanya, co help make so juice instead," Rain added, grabbing her friend’s arm.
Still puzzled, Sanya allowed herself to be pulled along. Rain quickly excused the two of them, saying they’d be back shortly.
Once they were out and walking ahead, Sanya asked, "Hey, what’s going on? Juice? That’s a bit sudden. You’ve always preferred tea-"
Sanya suddenly stopped mid-sentence, causing Rain to pause as well.
"Wait... are you preg-?"
"No! I an, I don’t know yet," Rain said quickly, lowering her voice. "That’s why I need you to co with . I’m two days late, and I don’t want to do the test alone."
Sanya’s eyes widened in excitent. "Oh my God! Let’s hurry!" she bead, grabbing
Rain’s hand as they headed straight to Rain and Alexander’s bedroom.
Once inside, Rain opened a drawer where Sanya had previously stashed several pregnancy test kits of different brands.
"Sanya, which one should I use?" Rain asked nervously.
"Just take five for now," Sanya suggested, grinning. "Use those first. If they’re negative, we’ll try the others."
Rain grabbed five kits and headed to the bathroom.
"I’ll wait right here by the door," Sanya said, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Call if you need anything!"
Rain nodded and shut the bathroom door behind her. Alone, she prepared the tests and placed them on the counter.
"I can’t believe how fast my heart is racing," she muttered to herself as she stared at the kits, waiting for the results. Her hands trembled slightly as she whispered, "Oh, dear God, please make it positive." She closed her eyes tightly, praying for the two lines to appear.
"Are you done yet?" Sanya called excitedly from outside.
Rain opened her eyes and gasped. "Oh my..." Tears welled up in her eyes as she stared at the results.
"Sanya!" she called out.
The door swung open, and Sanya burst in. She took one look at the counter and scread, "Oh my goodness! Rain!"
Sanya threw her arms around Rain, pulling her into a tight hug. "Congratulations!" she exclaid, practically bouncing on the spot.
Rain, overco with joy, started to jump along with her but was quickly stopped.
"Wait, no! Stop jumping!" Sanya cried, laughing as she steadied her.
Both won froze for a mont before bursting into laughter, holding hands and squeezing them tightly. They squealed with excitent, their joy filling the room.
"We should head back and share the good news with everyone!" Sanya exclaid, practically glowing with excitent.
Rain nodded, her own enthusiasm bubbling up. She couldn’t wait to tell everyone, especially since her father-in-law had been eagerly hoping for this mont.
But as they descended the stairs and neared the billiards hall, Rain suddenly stopped.
Sanya turned to her, concerned. "What’s wrong?"
Rain hesitated, her brow furrowed. "Should we go to the hospital first? To have a doctor confirm it?" she murmured, her confidence faltering as the thought of a false positive gnawed at her.
Sanya rolled her eyes playfully and grinned. "Hey, stop worrying! Five different tests gave the sa result, Rain! Co on, let’s share the news first. Afterward, you and Alexander can head to the hospital to confirm it if you want." She tugged Rain gently, urging her forward.
Rain shook her head, smiling at her friend’s enthusiasm. Still, her heart raced with joy. She felt like she was floating, caught in a cloud of bliss and overwhelming emotion.
As they entered the billiards hall, Sanya clapped her hands loudly to grab everyone’s attention. "Attention, everyone! We have so exciting news!"
Rain’s heart skipped a beat as every eye in the room turned toward them. Sanya, beaming, gestured toward her and announced, "Well, not , but our dear Rain has so very good news to share!"
All eyes were now focused on Rain. She gulped, her hands trembling slightly as she tried to speak, but no words ca out. Alexander imdiately noticed her unease and walked over, his brow furrowing with concern.
"What’s wrong? What is it?" he asked gently, his voice filled with worry.
Alexander glanced at Sanya. "Is it really good news? Why is it that Rain, not saying a word?" he whispered.
Sanya laughed softly. "Of course, it’s good news! She’s just overwheld."
Then she turned to Rain and asked, "Want to tell them?"
Rain nodded timidly, biting her lower lip.
Without hesitation, Sanya’s face lit up as she announced, "Rain is pregnant! We took five pregnancy tests, and they all ca back positive!"
The room erupted in joyful cheers and congratulations. Alexander froze for a mont, stunned.
Sanya chuckled and teased, "See? You’re speechless now too, brother-in-law!"
Rain t Alexander’s intense stare, and she gasped when he imdiately pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly. His eyes glistened with emotion. "Is it true?" he whispered softly.
Rain nodded, her own eyes welling with tears as she saw the overwhelming joy shining in his expression. "It’s true. I haven’t confird it at the hospital yet, but..." she trailed off, overco by the happiness radiating from him.
"That’s more than enough for to celebrate right now," Alexander said with a wide smile.
He cupped her face, kissed her forehead tenderly, and then turned to the room.
"We’re having a baby!" he declared proudly, his voice ringing with excitent.
"Looks like the family is expanding sooner than expected. Congratulations!" William exclaid.
Rain darted her eyes to her father-in-law and whispered, "Father!"
