William was grateful for the chance to spend more ti with Sanya now that his work obligations weren’t as overwhelming. So much had happened recently, and he could hardly believe that even their closest family friends were experiencing such devastating events... like his Aunt Sumr unexpectedly falling into a coma.

Uncle Arlan was shattered, and Uncle Jas and Darwin had taken turns staying by his side. This incident also pushed William to share the truth about his father’s condition with his father’s closest friends. Unlike them, his father could no longer provide much physical support due to his own health struggles.

"We’re ready," Sanya’s voice brought him back to reality. They were at ta Doctors Hospital again. He had been here yesterday when Aunt Sumr collapsed, and earlier today, they had briefly checked on her condition before preparing to take Sanya’s mother ho after her discharge.

"Let’s go then," William said, escorting his wife and mother-in-law to the car.

After a short drive, they arrived at his penthouse.

"Oh my, are you sure I’m going to live here? This is too much... I-" Sanya’s mother stamred, looking around in awe.

William grinned and replied, "Mother, this is nothing. It’s our penthouse. Whatever Sanya and I have is also yours, so make yourself at ho. Once you recover, I’ll bring you to the mansion."

Sanya smiled and said, "I’ll help Mother get settled in her bedroom."

William nodded and signaled the private nurse, who would be staying with them, to follow. He had also arranged for a housekeeper to manage chores. While they got settled, he walked to the kitchen to grab so oranges. His phone rang just as he reached the counter.

It was Ron, one of his trusted n from GIS.

"Sir, Rico Alvarez is still searching for a woman nad lissa Brown. The latest update is that he’s booked a flight to Nephtal," Ron reported.

"Dammit," William muttered, frustrated. "Monitor his movents, but keep it discreet," he instructed before ending the call.

"What’s wrong?"

Sanya’s voice startled him. She frowned and reminded him, "No secrets, rember?"

William sighed, scratching his head. "It’s about Rico Alvarez. Ron just confird that he’s still searching for your mom."

Sanya’s face darkened. "He’s obsessed with my mother," she murmured. She had heard the full story from her mother... how she had managed to escape Rico.

Her mother, originally from another country, had fled to Nephtal, changing her identity from lissa Brown to Crissa Reed. After giving birth to Sanya in Nephtal, her mother, terrified that Rico might find her, had made the heartbreaking decision to leave Sanya at Haven Orphanage.

"His search will be futile," Sanya said firmly, "since he has no idea my mother is here with us and living under a different identity. But we can’t take any chances, William."

William nodded, his expression resolute. "We won’t. I’ll ensure her safety. Rico Alvarez won’t get anywhere near your mother. You have my word."

She took a deep breath and bit her lower lip. William could sense her unease so he pulled her closer and said, "I’ve already tightened security here. The private nurse and the helper aren’t just ordinary hires; they’ve been vetted by GIS. Your mother will be safe here."

"I hope so. Rico destroyed her life once, and I can’t let him do it again. She’s just starting to rebuild, and she deserves peace." Sanya murmured.

"She’ll have peace, Sanya. I promise. And I’ll make sure Rico Alvarez regrets even setting foot in Nephtal." William reassured.

Sanya looked straight into his eyes and said softly, "I’ve been leaning on you so much lately. I don’t even know what I’d do without you. Since you ca into my life and beca a part of it, I feel like I hit the lottery, and everything is just so perfect."

William’s face flushed deeply. He couldn’t help but adore her boldness, it was one of the many things that made her irresistible to him.

"I’m scared, William, with how perfect my life seems right now. I feel like-"

He cut her off and said, "Stop worrying. Life is definitely not perfect, Sanya. We’ll absolutely have our ups and downs in the future, but what matters is that we stay together to face it. Together, we’ll be able to overco everything."

"I love you," she murmured, her hands cupping his face gently. He nuzzled his lips against hers, gesturing her to give him a kiss and Sanya chuckled before leaning in to give him a quick kiss.

"And I love you more!" William declared with a grin before swiftly lifting her off the ground.

"Hey, Mom might need !" Sanya protested, glancing around as her legs wrapped instinctively around his waist, and her arms curled securely around his neck.

William chuckled and picked up the pace toward their bedroom. "Mother has a private nurse and helpers to tend to her whenever you’re not around. Right now, how about you take care of this poor husband of yours?" he teased, a mischievous glint in his eye as he pushed the door open.

Sanya kissed William softly, her lips lingering on his as she murmured, "Fine, let take good care of you!"

William’s heart raced at her words, and he couldn’t hide the grin spreading across his face. "I like the sound of that," he whispered back, his voice low and full of affection.

Their eyes t, and for a mont, the world outside faded away, leaving only the warmth of their connection. Sanya ran her fingers gently through his hair, pulling him closer as she deepened the kiss, pouring all her love and devotion into the mont.

"You’re all I’ll ever need," William said between kisses, his hands resting on her waist as he held her close, savoring the closeness they shared.

Sanya chuckled softly, her forehead resting against his. "Good, because you’re stuck with ," she teased, her voice filled with playful warmth.

"Forever," William replied, sealing his promise with another tender kiss.
