Rain was seated in her office at the Prosecution Bureau, reviewing a case file. The sunlight streaming through the window cast a warm glow on the stacks of papers on her desk, but her focus was unwavering.

It was another busy day, but her mind wandered briefly to the news that had taken the dia by storm earlier that morning. As Rain expected, she was once again thrust into the spotlight following the news Alexander had disseminated about their upcoming wedding ceremony. Yet, unlike previous instances, this ti, she found herself relishing it.

It wasn’t just the grandeur of a wedding that excited her; it was the clear, unmistakable declaration Alexander was making to the world. The news wasn’t just about their ceremony... it was a statent, a proclamation that she was his woman, that their union wasn’t so fabricated contract like Carla had so craftily insinuated, but a genuine marriage rooted in truth.

A knock on her door snapped her back to reality. Jane entered, carrying a neatly stacked pile of docunts.

"Good morning, Prosecutor Lancaster," Jane greeted with a bright smile as she placed the papers on Rain’s desk. "Here are the files you requested for the Valdez case. Oh, and before I forget, congratulations on the big news! I saw the headlines, your wedding is all anyone can talk about."

Rain looked up, slightly startled, before she relaxed and gave a small chuckle. "Thank you, Jane. Though my quiet life turned into a dia circus again."

Jane grinned as she adjusted her glasses. "If you ask , it’s pretty romantic. He’s showing the whole world that you’re his wife and shutting down all that ridiculous gossip once and for all. People love seeing soone like you stand strong despite everything that’s been thrown at you."

Rain leaned back in her chair, her lips curving into a soft smile. "It’s definitely a statent," she admitted, her voice carrying a mix of amusent and gratitude. "Alexander doesn’t do things halfway, that’s for sure."

Jane nodded eagerly. "It’s a bold move. I an, I’ve been following the headlines... they’re buzzing with questions about the wedding details. People are guessing everything from the venue to the dress designer. And... well, so are wondering how Carla’s taking it."

Rain’s smile tightened slightly at the ntion of Carla, but she quickly composed herself. "Let them wonder," she said evenly. "It’s not my concern."

Jane gave her an approving look before glancing at the clock on Rain’s desk. "Well, I won’t keep you from your work any longer. Just thought I’d drop these off and let you know the entire office is rooting for you."

Rain’s smile grew warr. "Thank you, Jane. That ans a lot."

As Jane exited the office, Rain turned her attention back to her work. But the buzz of the headlines lingered in her mind, accompanied by a deep sense of pride and satisfaction.

Here she was, in her own space, working hard on her career, and still being recognized as Alexander’s wife, not as so shadowed figure in his life, but as the woman he was proud to claim.

Her face blushed so hard at her own thought then curiosity got a hold of her that she looked at the comnt sections of the online headlines.

’Finally, the Lancaster wedding we’ve all been waiting for!’

’Rain Clayton proves herself as the perfect match for Alexander Lancaster... take that, haters!’

’Will Carla Cartier attend? Now, that would be awkward.’

’Ah, but I really like Rain’s beauty compared to Carla. No wonder Alexander go for her.’

Rain chuckled, shaking her head. She knew the dia could be ruthless, but she couldn’t help feeling vindicated. For too long, whispers and insinuations about Carla had lood over her like a dark cloud, casting doubts on her place beside Alexander. Now, all those doubts were being obliterated by his bold and public actions.

But Rain knew that with Alexander’s grand declaration ca both admiration and backlash. As she scrolled through the online news articles during her break, she couldn’t help but glance at the comnt sections. While many congratulated her and Alexander, others still clung to their bias in favor of Carla.

She sighed as she read a few of the comnts:

’No matter what, Carla is still the best choice! That Alexander Lancaster is blind!’

’Hah! There are so many n out there who deserve our Carla!’

’Rain Clayton is just riding on Alexander’s na! She’s nothing compared to Carla!’

"People love drama more than the truth," she murmured to herself as she scrolled further.

Amid the negative remarks were supportive ones that made her heart feel a little lighter:

’Rain is a self-made, hardworking woman. What’s Carla done except stir up trouble?’

’Alexander and Rain are adorable together! Stop being bitter, people!’

’Carla had her chance. Alexander moved on so should her fans.’

Rain leaned back in her chair and stared at the screen, her expression neutral. She couldn’t deny that the comnts stung, but she also knew better than to let strangers’ opinions dictate her mood.

Just then, Henry poked his head into her office, holding a cup of coffee. "Prosecutor Lancaster, you okay?"

Rain gave him a small smile and nodded. "Just catching up on the latest news. It’s... entertaining, to say the least."

Henry rolled his eyes, setting the extra coffee he brought on Rain’s desk. "Let guess, Carla’s fan club is having a ltdown?"

"You could say that," Rain said with a chuckle. "They’re as passionate as ever."

Henry smirked. "Passionate or delusional? Honestly, they need to get over it. Alexander made his choice, and he clearly couldn’t be happier."

Rain’s smile softened. "He did make it clear to the world, didn’t he?"

Henry nodded. "Loud and proud. That’s what you deserve."

Rain blinked, montarily caught off guard by Henry’s sudden comnt. She set her coffee down, eting his gaze.

"It’s nice seeing you happy like that," Henry repeated, his tone warm but serious.

He leaned back in his chair, folding his arms across his chest. "That lively spirit in your eyes is back... before, it was so different. Soulless, even. Especially when Alexander was in a coma."
