William clenched his jaw, forcing himself to maintain his composure. The woman’s tone, the tilt of her head, even the way she spoke... it was unnervingly similar to his sister-in-law. If he didn’t know better, he might have been fooled.

’She’s good... too good,’ he thought grimly. But no amount of acting can replace the real Rain Lancaster!

Sanya, sitting quietly beside him, reached out to pat the impostor’s hand. "I understand how difficult this must be for you," she said gently, though her eyes betrayed a flicker of doubt. William clearly noticed that. "But you’re not alone. We’ll help you through this."

William stole a glance at Sanya, silently admiring her ability to stay calm. ’She’s handling this better than I am,’ he thought. But internally, his mind raced. This woman might fool so people, but not us. We’ll expose this farce soon enough.

"Let’s not overwhelm her for now," Tim said, breaking the silence. "I’ll make sure she gets enough rest."

William nodded, but his thoughts were far from restful. As he stood to leave the room, he made a ntal note to contact his brother Alexander imdiately.

anwhile, Alexander was on the edge of losing his composure as he sat in the car, waiting for any news. He was desperate to act, but he knew there could be eyes watching him at any mont.

The phone in his hand blinked, signaling an incoming call. He imdiately answered, unable to wait another second.

"I managed to get inside," Clifford’s voice ca through quickly, "and I saw sothing suspicious. They treated Rain first, but then they probably swapped her in the operating room. I saw a dead body being moved, heading to the morgue, but it didn’t go there. Instead, the body was taken to the basent parking lot. It could be Rain, but I can’t confirm. The body was covered with a white cloth."

Alexander’s heart skipped a beat. "Thank you, Clifford. Can you access the connections and find out what car they’re using? Track its movent," he instructed, trying to stay calm.

"I’m on it!" Clifford grunted on the other line. "We need to find her. I’ll get everything I can to your security team in real ti."

After the call ended, Alexander quickly grabbed his tablet. He started searching through the footage from both Clifford and his security team, hoping to find a clue that would lead him to Rain.

Alexander’s pulse raced as the gravity of the situation set in. He couldn’t afford to waste ti, every passing second felt like it was taking Rain further away from him. The weight of the uncertainty was unbearable, but he knew that reacting impulsively could put everything at risk. He had to stay calculated, patient, and focused.

The call with Clifford had given him a lead, but it only added to the chaos swirling in his mind. A body covered in white cloth, moved to the basent parking lot? The possibility that it could be Rain... his Rain... kept haunting him.

He continued scanning through the surveillance footage from every angle. His eyes darted over the live feeds, looking for anything that would confirm Clifford’s suspicions. His fingers hovered over the screen, quickly scanning for cars or suspicious movents.

"Co on... co on..." he muttered under his breath. Suddenly, a new video feed popped up. He froze. There, in the corner of one fra, was the unmistakable movent of a car. It was a high-end sedan, sleek, fast-moving, definitely not a car from the hospital. He zood in, watching the car’s movent closely.

They transferred the body. Alexander didn’t know if it was Rain, but it was the closest lead they had. "I think we’ve got sothing," he said, his voice deceptively calm, though his heart was pounding furiously. Quickly, he relayed the details to his team. "We have eyes on the car. Monitor it closely. Do not lose sight of it."

He dialed Clifford imdiately. "I have my n tailing the sedan where the body you ntioned was transferred."

"We’ve got another problem..." Clifford’s voice was tense. "Damn, I can’t believe this!" he cursed under his breath.

"What is it?" Alexander asked sharply.

"I just found three more footages from the operating room... bodies, all covered in white cloths, being transferred out. But the footage... they’ve been tampered with. Edited. Soone anticipated we’d look into this!" Clifford’s frustration bled through the line, his voice shaking with rage.

Alexander’s face turned pale, his jaw clenched. "This can’t be happening!" he growled. Turning to Dion, he barked, "Monitor all the lines connected to our electronics!"

"Yes, Boss, but-" Dion hesitated, knowing the issue.

Alexander cut him off, already aware of the problem. If their enemies truly knew him, they wouldn’t rely on anything connected to his company’s systems. Closing his eyes for a brief mont to compose himself, Alexander called out, "Clifford."

"I’m here. The line’s still secure," Clifford replied.

"Can you hack into other electronic companies’ systems?" Alexander’s voice was steady, but it carried a tremor of urgency. He knew the risk he was asking Clifford to take... it could put Clifford in grave danger.

"I’ll try," Clifford said. His determination was clear. "We have to find Rain, and I don’t care if it lands in jail. Just make sure you get out quickly," he added with a forced laugh.

Alexander didn’t laugh. "I’ll make sure of it. Hack every provider you can think of... big or small. Any company they might use."

"Understood," Clifford said firmly before the line went silent.

Alexander exhaled deeply, his chest tightening with fear. Ti was slipping through his fingers, and Rain’s life was hanging by a thread. Closing his eyes for a brief mont, he silently mused, ’Hang in there, please, Rain. I will not stop until I find you.’

His fists clenched as his resolve hardened. If it ant turning the entire world upside down, so be it. He would tear apart every corner, every shadow, and every lead. Nothing... no one... would stop him until she was back safely in his arms.
