Though they called it action, they weren't really doing anything — it was simply willing an encounter with the White Whale.

That's right! Pure intention was all it took!

It might seem ridiculous, but this was actually the correct way to use〘Divine Protection of the Sun〙. During daylight hours, all actions would naturally align — he didn't need to do anything at all. He just needed to strengthen his desire to et the White Whale and let fate handle the rest!

Such was his confidence in the Divine Protection!

Still, he hadn't abandoned his pursuit of Reinhard. After all,〘Divine Protection of Divine Protection Acquisition〙could serve as a final safeguard. Better to have it than not.

This Divine Protection was incredibly powerful. If he could learn to acquire it, he would instantly beco one of the strongest!

So he challenged Reinhard to daily fencing matches, refusing to take no for an answer even when Reinhard explicitly declined. His relentless persistence left the poor fellow overwheld.

Until seven days later.

Early that morning, Adam sensed sothing approaching. His heart raced inexplicably, filling him with anticipation.

He knew with certainty that today he would encounter the White Whale. Without doubt!

"Has it co..." A mix of excitent and nervousness stirred within him as his fighting spirit surged.

For him alone,〘Divine Protection of the Sun〙was a double-edged sword. Though it manifested according to his desires, its effects could bring unexpected complications.

Take this situation. Despite having the Divine Protection's guidance, he couldn't guarantee an encounter with the White Whale, making it impossible to convince Emilia and Felt to prepare in advance.

There was another complication, too. If he approached Crusch rashly, her〘Divine Protection of Wind Reading〙would lead her to suspect deception, potentially damaging their relationship.

But this ti, he was certain!

"Quick, take action!"

As soon as he got up, he saw Ram already waiting by his bedside.

Adam asked, "Ram, do you know about the Sage's Tree?"

"Do you an the Flugel's Tree?" Ram asked, puzzled by his sudden question so early in the morning. Nevertheless, she shared what she knew.

"Yes, that's it! So it's called Flugel..." With the correct na in mind, Adam quickly got dressed with her assistance and went to see Emilia.

The silver-haired half-elf was already in the library, absorbed in her studies — though her approach seed more focused on morization than practical application.

But there were more pressing matters at hand.

"Emilia, go to House Astrea imdiately and extend an invitation. Tell them to et us at the Flugel's Tree as quickly as possible. We'll prove there that we're worthy of forming an alliance. I'll visit the Karsten family to invite Crusch, while Ram will go to the Barielle family for Priscilla. If Priscilla refuses, remind her of our previous bet."

"Adam...?" His rapid-fire instructions left Emilia staring at him in bewildernt.

"Hurry! Ti is of the essence!" He urged.

"Y-yes!" Emilia quickly gathered her things and rushed toward House Astrea.

Though Puck wasn't around, Emilia's skills as a part-ti Magician and Spirit Arts User would keep her safe.

"Ram, you must leave imdiately too. Make sure to get Priscilla's response as quickly as possible!"

"Yes. Though Ram doesn't understand your urgency, Ram will complete the task you have given."

"I'm counting on you."

As Ram departed for the Barielle residence, Adam felt certain the White Whale would appear at noon.

After all, sothing was bound to happen sooner or later!

Karsten Residence

Being a frequent visitor, Adam was quickly granted entry and an audience with Crusch. In the reception room, he found several important figures: Crusch, Felix, Wilhelm, and Subaru.

Without preamble, he told Crusch about the White Whale.

"Are you certain about encountering the White Whale?" Crusch's sharp eyes scrutinized Adam as he made his bold claim.

Her〘Divine Protection of Wind Reading〙was active, but she detected no deception. Though her Divine Protection could only read subconscious emotions, she sensed he was telling the truth.

Still, his precise knowledge of both ti and location raised questions.

"Of course not. Lady Crusch should be able to sense that I'm not deceiving you." Adam's genuine conviction reinforced his confident deanor, making him all the more persuasive.

"Is that so..." Crusch mused, falling into deep thought.

Standing to the side, Wilhelm clenched his fists. Though he attempted to maintain his composure, his trembling body betrayed his emotions.

How could he remain calm upon hearing news of the White Whale — the beast that had taken his wife's life?

An invisible sword aura enveloped the small reception room, causing everyone present to tense up.

"My apologies — it seems I'm still immature." Wilhelm bowed deeply, "If you wish this old one to leave, I will comply."

"No, please stay. I'd like to hear your opinion, if that's acceptable?" Crusch said, glancing questioningly at Adam.

"Sure, I don't mind."

"Thank you," Wilhelm replied with another bow.

Recovering from the shocking news, Crusch asked, "Returning to our previous topic... are you perhaps seeking aid by sharing this information?"

"Don't misunderstand, Lady Crusch. I'm not seeking aid — I'm rely informing you." Adam declared with confident arrogance, "The White Whale is nothing. I will subjugate it personally; I need no one's help!"

"Oh? You're very confident. I can sense you're not lying." Crusch remarked, incredulous.

"Of course! This is part of my plan!" Adam maintained his assured manner, "Lady Crusch, do you rember when you asked about my plan to make Emilia King? Would you be interested in witnessing the starting point of Emilia's path to the throne?"

"Could it be related to the White Whale?"

"Exactly! Moreover, I've invited not just you, Lady Crusch, but Lady Felt, Lady Priscilla, and other Royal Selection Candidates as well. I wonder if Lady Crusch will attend..." His tone carried a mysterious weight, hovering between question and declaration.

"Very well — I shall go witness this!" As an astute politician, Crusch imdiately grasped what Emilia's faction was planning.

She wasn't usually so easily persuaded, typically refusing information without basis, even with other Royal Selection Candidates involved.

But she believed that a person's value was determined by the radiance of their soul, with resolve and pride serving as excellent asures of worth.

The man before her shone too brightly — she had to witness this brilliance firsthand!

Moreover, she needed to consider Wilhelm's feelings in this matter.

Most importantly, as political rivals, they needed to understand their opponents' movents to devise effective counterasures. Even if the White Whale didn't appear, they risked nothing by going, and they might even gain an advantage!

"Well then, ti is of the essence. Let's depart now."

"Agreed."

With that, Crusch began organizing her troops.

True to her reputation as a militaristic leader, her well-trained army assembled quickly, completing all preparations within an hour.

Everyone rushed toward their destination, following Crusch's army.

Target: Flugel's Tree!
