Out of curiosity, when Adam went to open the door, Aqua and gumin followed behind him to see who had co to visit.
At the entrance, they saw an elegant woman in a military uniform waiting outside the mansion, with two armored soldiers behind her.
The woman had long straight black hair and wore a dark blue military uniform with brown stockings. Her beautiful face, frad by black-rimd glasses, was cold and stern, giving off the impression of a serious and rigid career woman.
She looked sowhat familiar, but Adam was certain he had never t her before!
"Excuse , you are...?"
"Pleased to et you. I am Sena, the kingdom's prosecutor." She said formally.
Sena? Sena?!!
Adam finally rembered who she was — the kingdom prosecutor who had arrested Kazuma and forced a conviction!
No, it can't be! Am I going to be arrested too?
But didn't I use〘Al Shamak〙to send the entire Mobile Fortress Destroyer to another dinsion? Could it be that disgusting pig lord's ho was in that dinsion and happened to get blown up?

"Oh, so Adam didn't commit a cri — that's such a relief!" Aqua let out a long breath, patting her chest.
Then, they all asked in unison:
"An award?"
All three party mbers wore puzzled expressions.
"If possible, could we find sowhere suitable to sit down and discuss this?"
"Ah, sorry, sorry, how negligent of us! Please co in!"
They welcod Sena into the mansion, though the two soldiers remained outside, standing guard at the door like doorn.
"They..."
"Don't mind them, it's their duty."
"I see." Since they were following orders, Adam knew he shouldn't insist — they weren't his subordinates after all.
Everyone gathered in the first-floor hall while Adam brewed tea.
"Please."
"Thank you."
"You're welco."
Adam sat across from Sena, with Aqua and gumin seated on his left and right.
The conversation began.
"Ahem, Miss Sena... let introduce myself first. Pleased to et you, I am Adam Carter, leader of the Hero Party."
"Hello, I am Sena. I currently serve as the Kingdom's Prosecutor. I'm 20 years old, my parents are still alive, and I have an older sister. Though I co from a commoner background, through my efforts I've achieved status equal to that of lower nobility, and my annual salary even exceeds that of landless lower nobles. Moreover, I..."
For so reason, after Adam's brief self-introduction, she began talking endlessly about herself in great detail!

She explained to everyone, "I've co on behalf of the kingdom to present an award to Adam Carter, leader of the Hero Party."
She was repeating her earlier announcent from the doorway.
"An award? The kingdom's award for ...?"
"Yes."
"What kind of award?"
"A reward for Sir Adam Carter's successful defeat of one of the Devil King Army's Eight Generals and intercepting the Mobile Fortress Destroyer."
"Oh, I see." Hearing this, Adam's anxiety lted away.
He had worried he'd sohow blown up the pig lord's ho and Sena had co to arrest him. But it was just a kingdom reward — he had frightened himself over nothing.
"Eh—it's a reward!" gumin's eyes lit up with visions of gold coins as she gazed at the woman, clearly eager for riches.
Aqua was just as greedy.
Both won rubbed their hands together, anticipating the kingdom's generous reward.
Sena efficiently unrolled the parchnt.
"Now then, Sir Adam Carter, please listen carefully! In recognition of your ritorious deeds, the kingdom has decided to grant you the noble title of Viscount, the fifth rank!"
"Viscount?!"
"What, just a Viscount?!" Unlike gumin's surprise, Aqua angrily slapped the table, "How can it be just a Viscount?!"
She thought this reward was far too modest — they were being shortchanged!
But gumin saw this reward as quite generous.
The Parallel world's nobility system has 9 ranks. The 1st rank belongs to the King and royal family mbers, followed in descending order by: Duke, Marquis, Earl, Viscount, Baron, Baronet, Knight and so on.
From the 6th rank of Baron downward, titles are divided into First Generation and Hereditary.
First Generation ans the eldest legitimate son cannot inherit noble status, while Hereditary allows for inheritance.
In other words, as long as the kingdom stands, you and your descendants remain nobles!
Of course, assuming you don't commit any cris that would strip you of noble status.
In gumin's eyes, this reward was incredibly generous! Viscount — it completely bypassed Baron, and was a Hereditary title!
But in Adam's eyes, this reward was nothing but a burden.
He had absolutely no desire to beco a noble lord!
His ambitions, as it happened, lay in quite a different direction.
"That's not all, please let finish." Sena kept the parchnt raised as she continued, "Based on Sir Adam Carter's achievents, the kingdom has decided to grant not only noble status, but also territory."
"Territory too—?!" This ti gumin couldn't contain herself, crying out in surprise.
