"Adam?!" gumin cried out in surprise.

She hadn't expected such words from him.

Though she had arrived with burning enthusiasm to prove herself, the guild staff's repeated discouragents had cooled her resolve.

To put it bluntly, once she cald down, fear crept in. The Mobile Fortress Destroyer's attack wasn't just any ordinary disaster — its reputation was built upon the ruins of countless nations and towns.

Trying to stop it with just a handful of people seed like pure madness!

"Leader of the Hero's Party, you can't be serious?" The guild staff mber's face showed clear doubt.

While it was admirable that soone was stepping up, this concerned the safety of all of Axel — there was no room for error!

"Of course. Just leave this task to us." Adam's confidence was unwavering.

"But... what's your plan? We need to know beforehand to coordinate properly." The guild staff pressed for details.

"The plan is simple! Our party's High Priest can break through the Destroyer's barrier, and our Arch Wizard knows the strongest Explosion Magic! That should suffice." In this crucial mont, he laid out his strategy without hesitation.

Adam had quietly consulted Aqua earlier, and though she hadn't given a definite answer, he knew breaking the barrier wouldn't pose a problem.

"B-break the barrier? Is that truly possible? That's wonderful!" The guild staff's face lit up with joy.

Everyone's main obstacle had been the Mobile Fortress Destroyer's impenetrable magical barrier. Breaking through it ant hope!

"Plus we have that 'problematic' Crimson Demon girl, and her Explosion Magic is truly powerful!"

"Oh yeah, that 'problematic' Crimson Demon girl..."

"That's right, with that 'problematic' Crimson Demon girl here..."

"That 'problematic' one...!"

The guild staff and other adventurers burst into excited chatter, their expectations centered on gumin.

But to gumin's ears, these expectations rang like cruel mockery.

She raised her staff, eyes blazing red as she snarled, "Hey, you lot! If you're talking about , shall I demonstrate right here just how 'problematic' my head really is?!"

"Uh..."

Seeing her fury, the adventurers who had just spoken wisely looked away. Compared to the distant threat of the mobile disaster, the 'problematic one' was much closer — and far more imdiate a concern.

"Hold on! With sothing that massive, one Explosion Magic won't be enough!" The guild staff dampened the enthusiasm once more.

Though their words rang true, they extinguished the spark of hope that had just ignited in everyone's hearts.

"If... if we had two more... no, just one more person..."

"Yeah, just one more person..."

"If we just had one more..."

Hearing the adventurers' murmurs, Adam gave a light chuckle and announced confidently, "Everyone! Rest assured, I've already made arrangents!"

"Carter-senpai, Carter-senpai! I brought Wiz!"

Kazuma's voice suddenly rang out from the crowd.

"Ah, perfect timing."

Adam smiled with satisfaction, motioning for the adventurers to clear a path for Kazuma and Wiz.

"You all must know her! This is Wiz, owner of the magic item shop in Axel! She's a forr adventurer, an Arch Wizard, and most importantly — she knows Explosion Magic!"

He introduced her for those unfamiliar.

"Hello, everyone! Please visit my shop — I'm on the verge of bankruptcy!" Wiz greeted them cheerfully, looking rather out of place in her shopkeeper's apron as she shared how poor she was.

"Eh, isn't that the struggling shop owner?"

"The magic item shop owner?"

"She's here! The shop owner's here — we've won! We've definitely won now!"

The adventurers who knew Wiz were startled by her appearance, but inexplicably, their cheers suggested absolute confidence in victory.

How strange that soone so popular could be so poor. Wiz, your business acun is truly dreadful!

"Owner of Wiz's Magic Items, what a pleasure to see you!" The guild staff's face brightened with relief, "On behalf of the guild, welco! Right this way, please!"

Finally, all the pieces were in place.

"Now that Wiz has joined us, let detail our strategy."

Adam rose to his feet, commanding everyone's attention.

"First, Aqua will shatter the Destroyer's magical barrier. Then, gumin and Wiz will unleash their Explosion Magic to destroy its eight legs. Once immobilized, Axel will be safe from its advance. If necessary, our heavy armor Adventurers stand ready to finish the job!"

Plus, he could use〘Explosion Magic〙too; if things went south, he'd contribute his own blast. But his ability to use other class skills was his trump card — best kept secret for now.

Not only that, but gumin and Wiz could amplify their spells with Manatites — their firepower was more than sufficient.

After crippling its legs, the rest would be straightforward. They could handle an immobile Destroyer however they pleased. In the worst case, he could use〘Spatial Transfer〙to banish it to another dinsion.

The plan t with universal approval.

"Ti is of the essence — let's move to intercept!"

"Oh!" x N

The adventurers rushed out following Adam's command.

Minutes later, the guild hall stood empty. Everyone hurried to prepare before the Mobile Fortress Destroyer's arrival, hastily constructing temporary barricades — effective or not, they had to try.

"Such an impatient bunch." The vacant Adventurer's Guild held just Adam... no, one other person remained.

It was Kyōya Mitsurugi.

He stood at the guild's entrance watching Adam approach. Though he wanted to speak, he held back, letting Adam pass with a slightly lonely expression.

But then Adam's voice ca from behind.

"Kyōya Mitsurugi, I leave the rear to you."

"Eh?"

"If by chance we fail, lead everyone to safety, okay?"

"I...!"

"You're the Cursed Sword Hero! Everyone will listen to you, so don't be stubborn now." He cut him off firmly, brooking no argunt.

Adam was rely preparing for the worst case scenario. While he didn't expect to fail, he had to take precautions.

"Though I don't think I'll fail anyway."

"Oh, that confident? We're talking about the [Mobile Disaster] here."

"Of course, I'm the hero chosen by Aqua, just like you and Satou-kun, right?"

"Hmph." Kyōya let out a tsundere snort, accepting his words — he had always taken pride in being chosen as a hero, "Don't lose, make sure to deal with that disaster swiftly and cleanly. Don't sha Lady Aqua."

"Isn't that obvious?"

"It's all up to you!"

"Oh!"

Their fists t in the air. Though they stood back to back, they were perfectly in sync.

This chunni behavior wasn't like him at all.

But hey, that wasn't so bad, was it?

'I think I was cursed by gumin...'
