When he woke up again, dawn was breaking.
There was a soft feeling and a pure scent in his arms. Looking down, he nodded in understanding.
Oh, it's Aqua...
Wait! Aqua?!
Looking at her peaceful sleeping face and the unclosed door, he realized she must have been sleepwalking again last night.
"Sigh." He let out a sigh.
Gently releasing his arms, he quickly got up and left.
If others saw this, it would cause a commotion — better to leave quickly.

Perfect timing. The weather is nice today, and he can't skip his daily morning training.
He went to the courtyard and began practicing his breathing techniques. Simple morning training ensures his skills won't get rusty.

Then, everyone began enjoying breakfast.
After their simple al, Aqua, Kazuma, and Adam started preparing their equipnt.
The party's composition was quite complete; even if Darkness didn't join the adventure today, it wouldn't matter since Adam could fill her position without any problems.

After a while, gumin ca out of Darkness's room.
"Hey gumin, how's Darkness? Is she sick?" Kazuma called out, "If she's sick, let's have Aqua heal her. After all, she is, you know."

Aqua is the Goddess of Water, of course her healing is powerful!
However, gumin said, "No, Darkness isn't sick. She just doesn't want to co out or go on quests."
"Huh?!"
"Hmm?"

Hearing her words, the three of them wore different expressions.
Aqua and Kazuma imdiately noticed sothing was off. Usually, Darkness was the most enthusiastic about adventuring in the party — even more eager than gumin, who only wanted to cast〘Explosion Magic〙each day!
After all, gumin simply wanted to cast her "Booms" without caring much for actual adventures.
But Darkness was different. This woman who constantly fantasized about "being subjected to unspeakable things" was now reluctant to go adventuring?

"Well, let's let Darkness take a lazy day. She's always worked hard, so a day off is fine. Don't worry—though I'm not a Crusader, I can easily fill in for her." Just as the two were about to think deeper, Adam quickly interrupted their speculation.
He knew Darkness was too embarrassed to face him, so he hastily changed the subject. If they questioned her, he wasn't sure if that perverted 「Crusader」 might reveal last night's intimate events.
Especially with Aqua's maxed-out adultery detection skills — he worried a few words might make Darkness lose her composure.
So, better to change the subject quickly and get them away from the mansion. He could console Darkness later.
"Yeah, let's go do a quest!"
Even Adam hadn't expected gumin to be the first to support his suggestion.

"Of course Carter-senpai can fill Darkness's position... No! I'd say it's better without Darkness here!" Comparing the reliable Adam with the perverted Darkness, Kazuma found the difference was truly enormous!
If possible, he really wanted to find so excuse to kick Darkness out of the party!

Knowing Kazuma wouldn't probe further, Adam quickly shouted, which would also keep Aqua from dwelling on the matter. Perfect.

Afterward, everyone went to the Adventurer's Guild.

As the party's representative, he made sure to maintain the proper social courtesies.
When it ca ti to choose a quest, gumin's eyes glowed red as she pointed excitedly at the {Subjugate One-Punch Bear} quest, "Choose this one, this one! I can tell it's a strong enemy — perfect for my Explosion Magic!"
"No! Let's do an easier quest today." Adam said, cutting in before Kazuma could object, "To be honest, I'm still worried about Darkness. We should head back early."
"Ehhh—! No—! I want to do a high-level quest, I want to do a high-level quest!" gumin wailed in protest.
Ignoring her complaints, Adam selected the {Subjugate White Wolves} quest instead.

gumin sulked the entire way there.
But after unleashing〘Explosion Magic〙on the magic wolves, her face lit up with pure satisfaction.
"Alright—! Ti to head back!"
Adam carried gumin back to the guild, where they collected and divided their reward.
When the others ordered a hearty lunch, he packed up so food instead.
"I'm still worried about Darkness, so I'll head back first." He told them.
"Let's all go back together!" Kazuma suggested.
"No, I'll go alone." Adam declined the offer, adding, "Kazuma-kun, watch over Aqua — don't let her drink too much again."
"Oh, leave it to !"
"Mm."
With a satisfied nod, he headed back to the mansion by himself.
