Fortunately, this night passed just like this. Zhang Danlin didn’t cause any more trouble and stayed in the bedroom without coming out, so the night ended quietly.
Because he was worried that Zhang Danlin might wake up and be scared, even though he was very sleepy at first, Hao Jian resisted sleeping. However, at that ti, Zhang Danlin was standing beside Hao Jian with a big bag of food and was about to place it on the coffee table next to the sofa but didn’t expect Hao Jian would wake up just as she put it down.
She thought she woke Hao Jian up with the sound of putting things down and said apologetically, “Sorry for waking you up.”
When she got up in the morning, she felt dizzy and realized that she drank too much and got drunk last night. As she slowly recalled, she rembered Hao Jian carried her ho, and then gradually rembered what happened last night, including vomiting all over Hao Jian and him helping to fix her dislocated joint in the bathroom.
Her face imdiately turned red, feeling guilty, thinking how embarrassing it must have been to throw up all over Hao Jian. She suddenly realized how much absurdity she had done last night, and her face involuntarily reddened further, feeling increasingly sorry towards Hao Jian.
Upon stepping out, she found Hao Jian sleeping on the sofa, which ant he stayed there to keep her company all night in case she woke up scared. Seeing Hao Jian sleeping at that mont brought a flood of guilt over her.
Then she rembered other things. She got drunk last night, completely forgetting everything, but even so, Hao Jian sent her ho and did nothing to her. If it were any other man, they might have taken advantage of the situation, but Hao Jian did nothing. Instead, he stayed with her all night because she said she was afraid to be alone.
Suddenly, a warm sense of gratitude arose in her heart. As soone who lacked attention from friends and family, receiving such care all of a sudden moved her deeply.
Seeing Hao Jian still asleep, she felt bad about disturbing him. Thinking he would be hungry when he woke up, she freshened up and went out to buy breakfast. However, just as she placed the breakfast on the coffee table, it startled Hao Jian awake, and she felt guilty.
Hao Jian wasn’t focused on that, though. He woke up to the sll of food, indicating his hunger because he hadn’t eaten dinner the night before due to her situation, and he didn’t eat much at lunch yesterday either. Now, he couldn’t even describe how hungry he was.
Without waiting for Zhang Danlin, he eyed the food on the coffee table and realized it was ant for him. So, he quickly sat up and took out the big bag of food, placing it on the coffee table, and started eating ravenously with chopsticks.
Seeing Hao Jian eat like a starving beast, Zhang Danlin’s heart ached; how long had it been since he ate to be in such a hurry? He was practically shoveling the food into his mouth without chewing and swallowing it directly.
The scene was almost like he hadn’t eaten in three or four days. Although it wasn’t actually that extre, watching Hao Jian eat like a wolf made her heart ache.
“Eat slowly, if it’s not enough, you can have my portion too,” Zhang Danlin said beside him.
In less than a minute, Hao Jian finished a portion of food. When Zhang Danlin offered her portion, he shook his head, saying he was full. Even though he wasn’t actually full, how could he be shaless enough to eat a girl’s food portion, so he gentlemanly said he was full.
Zhang Danlin saw Hao Jian refused and could only put it away.
At this point, Hao Jian wiped his mouth with a tissue and stood up, saying, “Alright, since you’re fine now, I’ll be heading out to take a shower and get so sleep.”
He could still sll the odor on himself, fearing that if he stayed longer, it would beco a part of him, a thought that terrified him.
Upon hearing Hao Jian say he was leaving, Zhang Danlin quickly stood up and said, “Um… why don’t you rest a bit longer? You look so tired.”
Hao Jian waved his hand, saying, “Forget it, no need, it wouldn’t be good for a man and woman to stay together alone, right?”
Seeing Hao Jian’s determined tone to leave, since he insisted, she could only genuinely say, “Thank you, thank you for everything last night.”

At this mont, Zhang Danlin was different from the usual Zhang Danlin, who would never be so reserved. She was always mingling with guys, almost talking with them shoulder to shoulder. Hao Jian left Zhang Danlin’s ho, walked out of the apartnt complex, and then casually hailed a taxi to head ho.
Sitting in the car, he couldn’t help but think about Zhang Danlin, that girl. He was sowhat perceptive, so after eating, he decided to leave.
After all, considering what happened last night, even though Zhang Danlin was drunk and might not rember everything clearly, she would still rember so things. A girl getting drunk and making a fool of herself is surely sothing very embarrassing for her.
Thus, if he stayed there, Zhang Danlin wouldn’t say anything and wouldn’t feel anything, but she’d definitely feel unnatural and shy. To avoid her embarrassnt, Hao Jian left imdiately after eating, giving her so alone ti to unwind, so she wouldn’t be so tense and blushing with every word said.

So, once inside, he went straight to the bathroom, intending to wash off the sll first and then change into fresh clothes. That way, the sll would be gone, and things would be a bit easier with Liang Xiaohan.
