Capítulo 1928: Chapter 2129: I Have Sothing to Tell You!!!
The male horoom teacher might be strict about managent and such, but mostly it’s just the initial burst of energy when taking on a new role. At first, he might be a little stricter, but eventually, things settle into a neglectful “hands-off” approach. As long as nothing major happens, he pretty much doesn’t interfere.
But Li Weiwei, as a female horoom teacher, is different. It would have been fine if she didn’t manage the class well, but she’s got this air of authority and manages the class ticulously. Even soone like Liu Jie, who usually acts like a campus bully, will pretend to be attentive during her classes, even if he’s just putting on a show. It’s the sa when she’s around checking classes; they straighten up imdiately.
She’s really strict in her managent and, along with her female traits, is especially particular about small things, paying close attention to details. For example, even though he was thankfully suspended for a week, she had already sent soone over with schoolwork as soon as he got ho. Just today she even ca in person, almost as if she’s not letting him rest at all.
As soon as he heard what she said, a cloud of worry crossed Hao Jian’s face. He imdiately turned to avoid the topic, pretending to get her so water.
At this point, Li Weiwei scanned the room and then asked Hao Jian, “Are you living with a girl?”
Just as Hao Jian was bending over at the water cooler to pour water, his eyes imdiately lit up when he heard her ask this question. How on earth did this woman notice right away that it’s a girl? Fortunately, with previous experiences of He Qiqi and Zhang Danlin coming over, he had already tidied up Xiaohai’s things so well that it was hard to find any evidence she actually lived here.
Without delay, he brought the water to her and, without hiding it, said, “Yeah, she goes to Yawen too.”
After hearing this, Li Weiwei instinctively gave Hao Jian a few looks, then said, “Since you’re living with a girl, you should learn from her and correct those common bad habits boys have.”
With a heartfelt tone, Li Weiwei shared her advice, and Hao Jian could only nod sincerely as though he was soaking it all in. This area is a school district with many schools, so parents renting houses to accompany their children is not uncommon. Therefore, even living together under the sa roof with people of the opposite sex doesn’t strike anyone as odd.
This kind of scenario is quite common, due to the arduous and long road of learning, so she wouldn’t think along those lines either.
However, listening to Li Weiwei’s words left Hao Jian feeling a bit helpless. Why did she have to co here and say these things? Sure, Li Weiwei didn’t co just to tell him this; there must be another reason for her visit.
He didn’t know what Li Weiwei wanted to say, so he couldn’t just ask directly. Instead, he started using hints in his conversation, to try and coax Li Weiwei into being straightforward, rather than keeping them spinning nonsense.
Hao Jian said, “Teacher Li, you didn’t co all this way to my humble abode just to tell
that, did you?”
Surprise flashed across Li Weiwei’s face upon hearing this. She had co partly because Hao Jian had helped her several tis, so now that Hao Jian was suspended, it was only natural for her to check on the situation; this duty falls on her both personally and professionally. A horoom teacher visiting a student’s house is quite a normal occurrence, though she is going in a slightly personal capacity. Another reason was to remind him about so matters.
Gu Peng has a big influence in school, and even though she hasn’t been in Yawen long, she knows about it. After all, there are plenty of stories about Gu Peng, especially considering his parents are major shareholders of the school, which is sothing she naturally knows as a staff mber.
Therefore, when she heard that Hao Jian had offended Gu Peng, she was a bit shocked. It’s really a hassle to cross soone who’s a pampered child with a background reliant on family connections, hence her visit to advise Hao Jian to be more mindful, stay alert, and avoid getting entangled in troubleso relations with such people.
However, even though she thought about it, the words that were about to co out of her mouth were held back again as she fell into silence.
Seeing Li Weiwei with a look of hesitance, Hao Jian, rather than persisting further, decided to drop the matter.
Eventually, Li Weiwei suddenly got up and said, “I’ve got things to do, so I’ll head out first. When your week’s suspension is over and you return to school, co to my office. I have sothing to discuss with you.”
With that, Li Weiwei got up and walked towards the door. Hao Jian didn’t have much to say, seeing her out and closing the door afterward. Watching her leave from the window, he then sat back on the sofa.
Deep down, he knew what Li Weiwei wanted to say, but if she didn’t ntion it, he couldn’t bring it up either. He had his own plans already laid out in his mind.
With nobody bothering him, he lay back on the sofa and continued watching TV. This kind of leisure ti isn’t common, so he might as well enjoy it for now. Thus, the afternoon passed by just like that. In the evening, he stepped out for a simple dinner, which marked the end of the day.
However, by eight o’clock, Xiaohai returned ho. Usually, she wouldn’t co back until after nine since evening self-study ends late, so her early return clearly indicated she had skipped class. Knowing Xiaohai’s nature, he was well aware that attending classes obediently didn’t match her style; skipping class was much more her thing. Seeing her return like this, the old Xiaohai was back.
After coming in and putting her things down, she flopped right onto the sofa. Hao Jian looked at her, but before he could say anything, she kicked over and arrogantly commanded, “Hey, pour Lady Boss a glass of water!”
Hao Jian looked at her, surprised: “You’ve got hands and feet; pour it yourself!”
She beca displeased and gave him a dissatisfied look, saying, “My cousin sent you here to look after . What’s so hard about pouring a glass of water? Do you believe I can go complain to my cousin right now, tell her you’re a creep, secretly watching
shower and sniffing my underwear at night…”
Before Xiaohai could finish her sentence, Hao Jian had already stood up and was at the water cooler with a cup in hand. He was afraid of this woman, given she could say anything, so he couldn’t be bothered to argue. It’s just pouring a glass of water; no big deal, he told himself, it wouldn’t hurt and was certainly worth it given how pretty she was.
Seeing Hao Jian really go to pour water for her, a pleased look appeared on Xiaohai’s face. This trick never failed, ntioning the cousin always made Hao Jian obey quickly. Her face revealed an expression of glee. Studying here was utterly boring, without Awu and the others around her daily. Instead, she constantly had a bunch of annoying “flies” buzzing around her, driving her to craziness.
But this place was unlike Degao, where she could skip classes without a care, as all things were familiar there, and news of her absenteeism wouldn’t reach her parents, who viewed her as a model student based solely on her grades. Here, however, everything was new, and even skipping classes beca difficult. If she were to skip, surely soone would report it to her parents, which would be troubleso.
In fact, she had so understanding of why her father suddenly wanted her to transfer schools, and to another city no less. Despite this, having guessed so reasons, it was the reason she had behaved lately after arriving at Yawen.
Tonight, though, with Hao Jian not at school and feeling unbearably bored, she impulsively skipped class and ca back, figuring that evening self-study teachers generally didn’t enforce any strict discipline.
After Hao Jian poured a glass of water for her, he simply returned to his room.
And so the night passed uneventfully, with Xiaohai successfully ditching one evening self-study without consequences. The following days went by just like that until it was Friday. Yawen practiced a two-day weekend system, aning classes were held from Monday to Friday, then they would have Saturdays and Sundays off, allowing teachers and students ti to relax, which was much more humane compared to those public schools that have classes for a whole month with only a few days of break, standing in stark contrast and appearing friendlier.
Since today was Friday and the start of the weekend, as soon as the morning classes ended, the break began. Then around noon, Xiaohai ca back, but after stashing her stuff in her room, she went out again, and Hao Jian didn’t ask more as long as she seed alright; he stayed out of other matters.
After all, what could happen while she was here? Should anything occur, she’d call and he could get there imdiately. So, he wasn’t too concerned and resud his slacker lifestyle, lounging on the sofa watching TV.
Then, that evening, feeling a little hungry, he decided to head out for dinner and then planned to co back to sleep. But just as he thought of doing so, his phone suddenly rang.
It was a call from Hu Lai. Without much thought, Hao Jian picked up the phone.
“Hey! Are you free now? I’ve got sothing to tell you; if you’re free, let’s et for a al. Fatty’s here too.” As soon as the call connected, Hu Lai got straight to the point.
Hearing it was about eating and seeing Fatty, Hao Jian didn’t think much and agreed right away.
Hu Lai told him the place, and wearing his flip-flops, Hao Jian caught a cab over.
