Capítulo 1926: Chapter 2127: Gu Peng Explodes with Rage!

Zhang Danlin might not have had such an experience before, being in a hotel room with a guy and sharing the sa environnt. When she saw Hao Jian looking at her and then rembered the gaze from the receptionist earlier, her face imdiately flushed with a hint of embarrassnt.

This wasn’t surprising. Even though economic developnt is rapid and people’s thoughts are more open, not everyone is like this. It’s quite normal for her to have never experienced sothing like this, so it’s quite normal for her face to be flushed. What’s a bit unusual is the atmosphere between her and Hao Jian being alone in such an environnt.

Hao Jian averted his gaze and said, “You look quite nice.”

Zhang Danlin thanked him, but then didn’t know what else to say. Then she checked the ti and realized that after all that had happened, it wasn’t that early anymore. If she stayed out much longer, her parents would start worrying, so she decided not to say much more to Hao Jian.

After a brief exchange, they tidied up a bit and then left the hotel. Afterward, Hao Jian walked her to her doorstep. After what had happened, since he had already delayed so much ti and didn’t have anything else to do, and also not feeling at ease letting her go ho alone, he decided to walk her ho.

At her doorstep, he stopped. If he went any further and her parents saw them, it might look bad. It was late at night, just a man and a woman alone together, so it would be hard not to make people have crazy notions. Therefore, he stopped there and watched Zhang Danlin enter her house before turning and leaving.

Seeing Zhang Danlin’s house, Hao Jian got a glimpse into her life. According to Hu Lai and Fatty, her family seed to be quite wealthy, and now seeing it himself confird it. It looked like her family was indeed well-off among the students, living in such a high-end villa neighborhood, they must be either rich or aristocratic.

He didn’t spend much thought on it, then hailed a cab and hurried back. Only now did he notice he had rushed out so fast that he hadn’t even put on shoes, still barefoot at the mont. No wonder the lady boss at the clothing store looked at him so oddly, which he now finally understood.

However, his skin was thick enough, so he didn’t feel embarrassed at all. Hailed a cab, rode back ho, paid the fare, then went upstairs, unlocked the door, and entered his apartnt. Once inside, he noticed Liang Xiaohan was still asleep, so he didn’t disturb her. He simply locked the door, turned off the lights, and went to his room to lie on the bed.

Lying in bed, looking at his phone, suddenly it chid, notifying him of a new WeChat ssage. He imdiately checked it and saw it was from Zhang Danlin.

The ssage was simple, just a few words: thank you, along with a smiling emoji. Seeing this, a smile spontaneously appeared on his face. Then Zhang Danlin sent another ssage, saying goodnight. He replied with a goodnight as well, then put his phone down. She didn’t send any more ssages after that; presumably, she had fallen asleep after tonight’s scare.

Lying in bed, Hao Jian’s mind went back to the events earlier. What happened today was a terrifying experience for any girl. Fortunately, a disaster didn’t happen; otherwise, the consequences would be unimaginable. Luckily, he arrived in ti; otherwise, it would have ruined a girl’s entire life.

He didn’t have extravagant wishes, just hoped Zhang Danlin could soon forget what happened tonight and live happily. That’s what he wanted to see. He hoped such incidents would never happen to any other girl in the future, as it would be a catastrophe, a devastating disaster for any girl.

With these thoughts, he silently prayed for Zhang Danlin in his heart, then gradually closed his eyes and fell asleep.

What Hao Jian didn’t know was that after he and Zhang Danlin left the hotel, soone was still hiding nearby secretly taking photos. It wasn’t until he left that this person returned to his room, then sat in a chair and sent a ssage to soone.

Even if Hao Jian saw this person, he wouldn’t know who it was. But if Zhang Danlin saw him, she would definitely recognize him. This was soone who often hung around Gu Peng, one of Gu Peng’s cronies.

This crony just happened to co to the hotel with his girlfriend for so private ti, but unexpectedly saw Hao Jian and Zhang Danlin.

To his surprise, Zhang Danlin was with Hao Jian, and she was even wearing a guy’s jacket, which was Hao Jian’s. Then they booked and entered a room. Initially, he had brought his girlfriend here, ready for so private fun, but after seeing this, he was left dumbfounded, and the excitent in him quickly dissipated.

He then sent his girlfriend ho and busied himself with secret photography and investigation. Although his girlfriend was angry about it, he was already too absorbed in the situation between Hao Jian and Zhang Danlin to care, focusing all his attention on their hotel booking.

He excitedly sent the photos he just took to Gu Peng and sat in the chair, overwheld with excitent and tension.

Knowing full well Gu Peng’s pursuit of Zhang Danlin, he naturally knew all about it. The boys even privately referred to Zhang Danlin as sister-in-law, with Gu Peng as their big brother. Gu Peng had pursued Zhang Danlin both openly and discreetly. Unfortunately, Zhang Danlin didn’t seem to be interested in their boss and always acted indifferent, so they could only watch anxiously.

As the saying goes, a fair lady is the young man’s good match. Zhang Danlin fit the description of a beauty. If not for Liang Xiaohan, no other girl in their class could outshine her brilliance. After all, she was so pretty, had a good character, was approachable, and got along well with the boys, which made her extrely charming.

Not only was she the class beauty, but she was also renowned as the school beauty of her grade, even voted as one of the grade’s top five beauties.

Therefore, with Gu Peng being a popular figure in their grade, it wasn’t unreasonable for him to chase her. It was a well-known fact, so many boys admired her, but dared not pursue because of Gu Peng standing in their way.

Who would dare pursue her knowing it might get them beat up by Gu Peng? So essentially, only boys with a certain level of guts or ability dared to even consider pursuing her.

As soone close to Gu Peng, he was naturally aware of the incident that happened between Hao Jian and their boss a few days ago, where Hao Jian embarrassed their boss. But he never expected Hao Jian to end up with Zhang Danlin, even going to a hotel together. If their boss found out, he would be furious.

Their boss genuinely cared for Zhang Danlin—everyone knew that. Otherwise, given their boss’s status in the school, being part of the basketball team, and being tall and handso with many admirers, why would he refuse them and only pursue Zhang Danlin? They saw it all clearly.

Soon enough, he sent the photos he took to Gu Peng. He had to inform the boss; otherwise, he’d feel guilty.

Not long after the ssage was sent, Gu Peng opened his phone, and upon seeing it, he nearly exploded in rage, almost smashing his phone to pieces. His face was filled with anger, his veins bulging.

He said nothing, asked directly for the location, and after receiving the info, he rushed out. In about ten minutes, he arrived at the small inn, and the crony let him in.

As soon as he ca in, Gu Peng looked furious, angrily asking, “Which room are they in?”

In his perspective, he’d been pursuing Zhang Danlin for so long without even holding her hand, yet Hao Jian, the new guy who just transferred, already had a disagreent with him a few days earlier. He was planning to deal with him, but suddenly, the woman he wanted to pursue was unexpectedly at a hotel with his enemy. Who could tolerate that?

He was furious, so upon seeing the ssage, he didn’t waste a word. He asked for the address and quickly ca over. He was determined to teach this pair of scoundrels a lesson.

However, after he said this, the crony was dumbfounded, with an awkward expression. Even though he sent a ssage to his boss, it was clear that Gu Peng had lost his cool after seeing the pictures and rushed over without looking at the explanations.

He awkwardly said, “Boss, they’re gone.”

“What! Gone?” Gu Peng expressed his surprise.

Today, if he didn’t properly teach Hao Jian a lesson, he wouldn’t consider himself a man.

The crony quickly explained, “I sent the ssage along with the photos, but you must have been too eager and didn’t read it, asked for the address, and rushed over.”

“Actually, they didn’t do anything. I watched the whole ti,” the crony said.

“As soon as they entered the room, within thirty seconds, Hao Jian walked out. He was out for more than ten minutes and ca back holding a bag. It seed like set of won’s clothes, likely bought from a store nearby, and then he went back into the room,” the crony said.

“Shortly after they went back in, the two of them ca out again.”
