Capítulo 1868: Chapter 2069: Did You Bring Your ID Card?!
When Liang Yuwei heard the news, she was almost so happy that she could fly. Although she had been dedicating herself to work during this ti, it was only to distract herself and not feel so sad. But in reality, no matter how she tried, it was of no use; she still felt sorrow.
Every ti, she would be absent-minded, worried because of this matter. She wondered what to do if her father continued to refuse her contact with Hao Jian. Although she was not afraid of storms, if she had to go against her father’s wishes and caused him to have a difficult late life, she would feel deeply guilty.
So, all along, she had a knot in her heart about what to do—whether to hold on to her love or stand on the side of morals and ethics. Of course, the best outco would be achieving both.
Now, when she heard Hao Jian say that answer, her heart leaped with joy. She had imagined this day coming, but she hadn’t thought about when it would co, how it would be brought about, or whether this day was ever possible.
However, today, Hao Jian used facts to show her that the day had indeed arrived. She no longer needed to worry about this or that when eting him; finally, they could et openly and justifiably.
Though her father had refused to let her et Hao Jian just a few days ago, those few days felt like years to her, with each minute and second filled with extre hurt. There was reluctance, confusion, and helplessness because she didn’t know what she could do to salvage the situation.
Now, the man she wanted to entrust with her life was standing in front of her, telling her that he had resolved the issue and nothing could stop them from eting. Her feelings at this mont were overflowing, filled with happiness. She was so excitedly happy from childhood to adulthood, she’d never been this happy, so happy she felt she could fly!
“Really?” She still couldn’t quite believe it was true.
Hao Jian instinctively hugged her soft waist, looking at her tenderly, and said with gentle eyes: “Of course, why would I lie to you?”
Before these words fell completely, suddenly, Liang Yuwei was already on her tiptoes, her hands around Hao Jian’s shoulders, and in a deep, tender mont, gave him a quiet kiss on the lips. The two of them, who should have been beaming with joy, were now quietly embracing and kissing deeply.
Hao Jian was surprised by Liang Yuwei’s sudden action, but after a second of surprise, he enthusiastically responded to the passion that Liang Yuwei brought. The two of them passionately kissed at the hotel entrance, ignoring the eyes of others or perhaps seeing no one else in their world.
Liang Youzhen walked straight from the car to sit inside, partly due to his complex emotions—being both a little relieved and a bit heartbroken. At that mont, he wasn’t sure how he felt and didn’t want to deal with anyone, so he simply headed to the car.
It wasn’t until he was inside, looking out the car window, seeing his daughter outside passionately kissing the man he just accepted, that he deeply felt his daughter’s love for this man and clearly sensed Hao Jian’s love for his daughter.
Having been through life himself, he could easily tell whether the love between two people was genuine. The love they emitted exceeded his imagination. As a father, he only hoped his daughter could find a good ho and a companion for life.
Now, he felt his daughter might have found a man worthy of lifelong commitnt. His feelings were complex, with both happiness and an overwhelming sense of lancholy. He sat in the car, watching everything outside, as his eyes suddenly welled with tears.
Then, unnoticed by anyone, he quietly got out of the car and walked away. Once he was far enough, he hailed a taxi by the roadside to head ho.
For him, the feeling was complicated; primarily, he hoped for his daughter’s happiness. So, when his daughter was happy, he’d let the young ones stay a while longer, choosing to leave quietly.
Perhaps the only outsider who noticed Liang Youzhen leaving quietly was Liang Xiaohan. She witnessed him silently get out and leave, watching his lonely, desolate back, feeling a thousand emotions at once. She couldn’t say why, but she felt an unexplained sadness.
Watching her cousin and that annoying man Hao Jian passionately kissing, her heart unexpectedly throbbed, as if experiencing a fresh and innocent love. Her emotions were complex, her eyes glued to them, unable to divert her attention. She didn’t know why, but at that mont, she too longed for love, longing for soone to hold her so warmly, exchanging feelings of the heart.
This might be the power that love brings. Before, she never understood what love was. But after today, she thought she might have learned.
She didn’t know how long it was before Liang Yuwei slowly let go of Hao Jian’s hands, and the two gazed at each other affectionately. They say lovers see nothing but beauty in each other, but to them, no one else seed to exist. Standing quietly on the side, Liang Xiaohan finally returned to her senses.
Watching them still cozily intertwined, she felt a sudden inexplicable restlessness. What others used to call public displays of affection ant nothing to her, but at this mont, she found herself “fed dog food” as they say, tasting envy for the first ti.
“Hey! Are you two done?” she blurted out instinctively to Hao Jian and Liang Yuwei.
They were lost in their world of love, but upon hearing her words, they were instantly pulled out. They looked over at Liang Xiaohan, bewildered as to why she was standing there. Why was she standing there? Did they ask her to wait there?
No, they didn’t know why she stood there, and her tone was sowhat displeased. Her involvent seed irrelevant, really!
In just a few seconds, they exchanged glances and decided to ignore the bystander, continuing to gaze at one another affectionately. Today, their emotions were unleashed, unaffected by others. They didn’t even bother to respond to Liang Xiaohan or glance at her.
Liang Xiaohan was thus ignored. Initially, upon seeing Hao Jian and her cousin’s confused expressions, she felt a little guilty, thinking she had interrupted their tender mont, her face flushing with embarrassnt and shyness.
But upon gradually realizing she was being ignored, her guilt vanished, replaced by anger. The two of them had publicly ignored a living person like her, which was infuriating!
Furious at being ignored, she stomped her foot and walked away. If one place doesn’t welco her, another will. If they ignored her, other places would surely welco her. Fueled by anger, she left without acknowledging them, disappearing swiftly into the night.
Hao Jian and Liang Yuwei lingered at the hotel entrance, not knowing how long they stood there before slowly letting go of each other’s hands, redirecting their focus away from each other. Only then did they notice Liang Xiaohan was gone.
Upon closer examination, Liang Youzhen was also nowhere to be found. Liang Yuwei’s eyes revealed surprise, but Hao Jian remained entirely composed. Although his eyes hadn’t left Liang Yuwei for a mont, he perceived everything happening around him. He knew when Liang Youzhen left and why Liang Xiaohan went away.
But he wouldn’t disrupt the brief sweetness shared here, so he said nothing, quietly watching the two leave, remaining imrsed in their world of sweetness.
“Why did they leave?” Liang Yuwei asked, realizing what had happened only now.
Just now, her eyes were only on Hao Jian, oblivious to the outside world. At that mont, there seed to be nothing more important than being with Hao Jian.
Hao Jian gently patted her head, softly saying, “At this mont, let’s not worry about anything else, just focus on us.”
Liang Yuwei nodded silently, agreeing: “Mm!”
Afterwards, they quietly held hands. Whether because Hao Jian was too impatient or sothing else, suddenly, he lifted her into his arms.
Looking at her tenderly, he said, “I’ll carry you.”
Liang Yuwei nodded in silence; there was no need for many words at this mont, as she indulged in her happiness, overwheld by sweetness.
Hao Jian carried her this way, like a princess, down the stairs, placing her in the car, then sitting himself in the driver’s seat and starting the car towards ho.
Suddenly, his mind changed. Driving ho felt like a long journey; instead, he parked the car, turned back with a serious look at Liang Yuwei.
He asked, “Do you have your ID with you?”
