Capítulo 1866: Chapter 2067: He’s Not That Great Either!

During the hustle and bustle, ti naturally passes quickly, like a fleeting mont. But Hao Jian’s preparation wasn’t a busy one; he simply applied so hair wax and changed into a clean and tidy suit, making him look much more spirited before lying on the sofa to watch TV.

For him, this was the biggest preparation possible; otherwise, he’d be too lazy to change clothes and would just go straight away. But considering Liang Youzhen is Yuwei’s father, even with 99% confidence, he ought to show so respect to the elder.

It’s naturally important to dress formally; otherwise, it’d appear informal and sowhat inappropriate.

For Hao Jian, the morning and afternoon seed to pass very slowly. He watched several movies, and yet ti still crawled. Finally, eventually, night fell, and after tidying up and spraying so perfu, he drove out.

Previously, due to Ma Jingxuan’s words, Liang Youzhen’s opinion of him had greatly changed. Today, he wanted Liang Youzhen to see another side of him—a business mogul, a leader in any field.

To match the identity, he didn’t drive the limited edition sports car in the garage, but instead chose a pricey rcedes business model, slowly heading towards the destination.

He arrived at the destination at half-past five, a full half-hour early. This ti, he arrived before Liang Youzhen, showing that Yuwei’s uncle was more punctual than her father. When there were still twenty minutes left, Liang Xiaohan arrived suddenly.

Seeing Liang Xiaohan get out of the taxi, Hao Jian was startled and asked, “Why are you here?”

Liang Xiaohan was evidently true to the ssage she later sent Hao Jian, where she vowed to repay the grievance of that night a hundred tis over in the future. Although she ca, the look in her eyes was filled with hostility, complete with sharp killing intent, treating Hao Jian as a sworn enemy.

“Why can’t I co? Is this your place?” Liang Xiaohan raised an eyebrow, “It’s not yours, why can’t I co? Do I need to inform you?”

Listening to Liang Xiaohan ask four consecutive questions, Hao Jian smiled, realizing that this girl really held grudges persistently. That night, he had only scared her slightly, yet she bore such a grudge, her tone was full of hostility, as if they would start fighting in the next second.

He imdiately raised his hands in surrender, saying, “I was wrong, my lady warrior. I shouldn’t have asked.”

Liang Xiaohan rolled her eyes at him, ignoring him, then stood aside. She had co to see if Hao Jian could persuade her father and uncle and wanted to see him look dejected and embarrassed, which would delight her.

Moreover, from a conversation with her cousin in the morning, she learned that her cousin would also co tonight, so she prepared to tell her cousin so things to reveal Hao Jian’s true nature. Her purpose was to make Hao Jian’s plan fail and then mock him.

She’s a vengeful person, and Hao Jian had upset her many tis. She had every reason to want revenge and must defeat him personally; otherwise, she wouldn’t be Liang Xiaohan.

Only, when she first saw Hao Jian after getting off the taxi, she was indeed surprised. She never expected that Hao Jian would wear a suit and tie one day; she thought he was the kind of man who was sloppy, and though his looks were average day-to-day, not the kind to make her heart flutter.

But today, Hao Jian in a suit and tie, with hair neatly styled and waxed, exuded the aura of a successful person. This scene astonished her, as Hao Jian seed transford. When a man truly focuses on grooming, can his looks change so quickly? Seeing his handso face and long legs, she suddenly felt the need to reevaluate her perception of Hao Jian.

At this mont, Hao Jian fully embodied the image of the kind of man she liked, simply incredible. Unfortunately, though she thought this at first glance, by the second, she was filled with endless hatred.

In love, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, regardless of how unkempt or ugly a lover might be. In contrast, in a foe’s eyes, no matter how charming Hao Jian looked, Liang Xiaohan saw only hatred, her heart and mind stained by it. The hatred must be avenged before her view of Hao Jian could change.

So, although initially surprised, she chose to look at Hao Jian angrily afterward. Standing there, she would occasionally sneak glances but would remind herself that he was her enemy and inwardly ugly.

Thus, they stood by the roadside; about five minutes later, a car stopped nearby. From the car, Hao Jian knew Liang Yuwei was driving her father over, so he stood by the roadside and opened the car door, performing his duty as a junior.

Rembering his status, he went to open the door as Liang Youzhen stepped out, looking at him with peculiar eyes.

However, he maintained a favorable view of Hao Jian, thinking him a good young man, or else he wouldn’t have praised him initially. Only later did events lead him to disallow further contact between Hao Jian and his daughter.

Being a father, it’s not a matter of looking at things emotionally but rationally. So while he firmly told his daughter to stop seeing Hao Jian, he never directly asked Hao Jian to stay away from his daughter, indicating no major issue with Hao Jian personally.

The initial encounter might be awkward; after all, Hao Jian had helped him quite a lot, and he felt a tinge of guilt. After the first glance, he smiled at Hao Jian as a senior would to a junior. Hao Jian accepted graciously, smiling back at Liang Youzhen.

Following that, Liang Yuwei stepped out of the car, looking at Hao Jian with her father’s support, eyes only for him, filled with sweetness.

Liang Youzhen spoke little, glanced at his daughter, and she understood to support him and walk ahead. Hao Jian shrugged and smiled, understanding Liang Youzhen’s situation well. With only one daughter, he was naturally careful about her future, showing normal behavior.

Liang Youzhen’s actions were indeed for Yuwei and his daughter.

However, since this was a talk between Hao Jian and Liang Youzhen, Yuwei naturally couldn’t accompany them. After helping her father into the hotel, she stepped back, noticing her cousin Liang Xiaohan standing nearby, then joined her.

Liang Youzhen had gone in, and Hao Jian wouldn’t keep him waiting; he approached Yuwei confidently, smiling, “Wait for my good news,” before heading into the hotel.

Yuwei watched Hao Jian’s departing figure with a face full of sweet smiles, believing every word he said fully. After all, Hao Jian had repeatedly impressed her and changed her perception of him; in her eyes, he was a man who delivered on his promises, unstopped by challenges.

While contemplating this, Liang Xiaohan looked at her with bewildernt. Liang Xiaohan didn’t understand why her cousin’s gaze seed so sweet. Growing up with her cousin, she had never seen such sweetness.

Could love truly make soone so obsessed? Having never truly fallen for a man herself, Liang Xiaohan didn’t understand this and was eager to know, yet had never received answers. She felt everyone suffered, questioning why people persist in the anguish of love.

“Sis, what’s so good about him that makes you love him?” Liang Xiaohan impulsively asked Yuwei.

Yuwei had been watching where Hao Jian disappeared, heard her cousin’s question, shifted her thoughts, and turned around.

Seeing her cousin, who was only a high school freshman, seeming mature but with a heart not yet aged, Yuwei’s face was all smiles.

Thinking for a mont, she replied, “Honestly, he’s not exceptionally good; it’s just a coincidence that he possesses everything I like, and then I liked him, fell in love, without a reason to express.”

“Oh!”

Liang Xiaohan uttered “Oh” then quietly lowered her head, lost in thought.
