Slowly, everyone got into the police cars and drove off. At that mont, a group of people appeared out of nowhere—these were the people Qiao Ge had called. Seeing the police cars in front of the restaurant and Qiao Ge getting arrested, they scattered in panic.
In a matter of seconds, the mighty crowd evaporated into thin air. Not long after, the news of Qiao Ge being taken in spread like wildfire, causing joy among local shopowners, while those in the underground circles were scared into submission by the news.
It was no joke. If soone like Qiao Ge could be taken in, then the small players had to toe the line; otherwise, they’d be next in line.
The police car quickly brought everyone to the station. It wasn’t the sa station where Liang Yuwei worked, just a branch station in the area. In truth, she was quite grateful to Hao Jian. If not for his sudden appearance and help, she wasn’t sure where she’d be right now. She might even be lying in a hospital bed. But girls often need to keep a sense of reserve; knowing sothing herself was enough without needing to voice it clearly.

Liang Xiaohan’s face suddenly looked very weary, with her eyes half-closed. He held her up and urgently asked, “What’s wrong?”
