Unexpectedly, the teaching building he had been searching for all along was right in front of him. If he hadn't looked up and seen the words 'Teaching Building', he might have continued to be lost. He then went upstairs, randomly found a student, and after asking about the location of Class 1-3, said thank you and walked to the entrance of the Class 1-3 classroom alone.

Finding the classroom wasn't difficult either. Each classroom entrance had the class na and number, so as long as soone asked for the general area, they could find what they were looking for. Degao Affiliated School's quality of education is extraordinarily high, and its graduation rate exceeds that of schools on the sa level. Simultaneously, the school's culture and managent rules are relatively open. Most schools require students to wear uniforms during school hours, but Degao Affiliated School does not have this requirent.

Therefore, Hao Jian dressed casually and walked around the school without anyone giving him strange looks. In fact, he looked quite ordinary, and passing students didn't have any particular feelings toward him. Moreover, because he's young and dressed like a student, he practically blended in with the student body.

Otherwise, yesterday, when he ran into the head of the office, the head wouldn't have mistaken Hao Jian as a student right away.

Hao Jian quickly reached the entrance of Class 1-3's classroom. Before entering, he first glanced through the window to see if Liang Xiaohan was inside. However, just as he looked in, he suddenly felt a hand slap his back.

Instinctively sensing danger, Hao Jian's natural reaction was to grab the hand so it couldn't reach him. But when he turned to look, he recognized the person slapping him.

Awu stood there with his arm in a sling, looking at him with curious eyes and asking in bewildernt, "Brother Hao, what are you doing here?"

Hao Jian imdiately realized, retracting the hand he had stretched out to grab, and his face returned to calm as he looked back inside the classroom.

Awu wasn't in the sa class as Liang Xiaohan; he was from Class 2. As he went to the bathroom during break, he happened to see a familiar back resembling Hao Jian's, which surprised him. Upon greeting him, he realized it truly was Hao Jian, so he was filled with unexpectedness.

Liang Xiaohan had told him Hao Jian wasn't from Degao Affiliated School, so he was a bit surprised to see Hao Jian at the classroom.

Following Hao Jian's gaze, watching his eyes land on Liang Xiaohan, Awu imdiately understood and said, "Brother Hao, wait here, I'll get Sister Xiaohan out."

Hao Jian nodded, and Awu smiled knowingly, then headed into the classroom. He often hangs around Liang Xiaohan, so the people inside the classroom weren't surprised to see him. Awu approached Liang Xiaohan and whispered sothing in her ear.

Upon hearing this, the smile on Liang Xiaohan's face instantly clouded over, and she looked toward the classroom entrance where her eyes t Hao Jian's. Hao Jian was seeking her help, so he waved with a smile to greet her. Unexpectedly, Liang Xiaohan rolled her eyes at him and snorted.

Awu had initially approached Liang Xiaohan excitedly, thinking she'd be happy to see Brother Hao, but Liang Xiaohan's face soured unexpectedly. She got up and ignored him, heading straight out through the front door.

Hao Jian was standing at the back door, and Awu quickly rushed over, looking awkwardly at Hao Jian, confusedly asking, "Brother Hao, did you make Sister Xiaohan angry? Why does she leave as soon as she hears about you?"

Hao Jian chuckled awkwardly without answering the question. Seeing Hao Jian remain silent, Awu didn't press further. Turning around, he saw Liang Xiaohan already walking away and nearing the stairs, prompting him to anxiously tell Hao Jian, "Brother Hao, I'll go catch up with Sister Xiaohan."

Hao Jian nodded, and Awu hurriedly chased after her.

Watching Liang Xiaohan's retreating figure, Hao Jian smiled faintly. The first ti he t Awu, he displayed a skill, after which Awu treated him with utmost respect. Following the incident at the arcade a few days ago, Hao Jian had effectively turned the situation around, so thereafter, Awu, Zhao Xiangwu, and others who followed Liang Xiaohan held him in higher regard and showed even more respect.

Awu, for instance, would always call him Brother Hao with a respectful deanor every ti they t, always seeking Hao Jian's opinion before doing anything, reflecting all these aspects. Unconsciously, Hao Jian had established credibility among this group.

Awu's silhouette soon disappeared among the crowd, and Liang Xiaohan and her entourage were nowhere in sight.

At this mont, Hao Jian chuckled, noticing nearby students began gossiping behind their backs. Indeed, Liang Xiaohan was such an influential figure in the first-year cohort that practically everyone knew her. Hao Jian suddenly running over to find Liang Xiaohan, only to be coldly greeted by her, drew attention from bored students longing for so news.

More and more people started whispering about Hao Jian, so even pointing at him and saying things behind his back. In their eyes, Hao Jian was just soone who had been dismissed by Liang Xiaohan, soone likely without strength, thus they had no reservations.

Still, this represented only a small fraction. Given that Degao Affiliated School is a high-quality educational institution, most students' focus remained on academics, leaving only a small number with idle ti for gossip.

Unfortunately, Hao Jian's hearing was exceptionally sharp, and he caught every word. Yet he pretended as if nothing happened, unwilling to involve himself with these high schoolers.

He chuckled, then chased after Liang Xiaohan, after all, he was seeking her help. Moreover, as the girl might have so attitude, he understood and accepted it. With so odd glances from passersby, he walked through the corridor, heading toward where Liang Xiaohan had vanished.

It must be said that Degao Affiliated School's high educational quality wasn't without reason. The corridor may have had students passing by, but most remained seated in their classrooms. In other schools, classrooms might be empty, but at Degao Affiliated School, students were either reading or solving problems, striving to make the most of their ti. With such enthusiastic students, it was no wonder the school's educational quality and graduation rate were high.

However, where there is good, there is also bad, as every situation has two sides and it's impossible to only maintain one side permanently. Despite Degao Affiliated School's strict managent and high reputation, there were inevitably so degenerates.

This group was like a tumor in the school, disrupting its managent and order, and consistently violating rules. They attended school but hardly studied, instead sleeping during class and sneaking off to smoke during breaks, frequently causing trouble with fights. Such people exist in every school.

Degao Affiliated School was no exception, and as Hao Jian walked to the stairwell in the corridor, he encountered them. Several boys were lounging in a corner of the stairwell, smoking, fixing mocking eyes on Hao Jian as he approached.

Acting as if he hadn't seen them, Hao Jian's true feelings were that they were beneath his notice; however, as he walked past, one of the boys smoking inevitably stopped him.

He laughed and said, "Hey, brother, what's the deal? Liang Xiaohan doesn't want to deal with you, but you're still trying to be friendly. I an, brother, have so self-respect, okay?"

Temporarily stopped, Hao Jian's expression soured. He didn't want to provoke them, but hadn't expected them to blindly bother him. Retaining a calm expression, he coldly replied, "Move!"

The boy stopping him never expected soone snubbed by Liang Xiaohan to speak in such a tone, which imdiately displeased him.

They had co here to smoke during break because no teachers ventured here, ensuring they wouldn't be seen. When they saw Hao Jian trying to get Liang Xiaohan's attention only for her to ignore him thereafter walking away, they saw him as an easy target. These were classic bullies, seeking to add so excitent to their monotonous lives by picking on soone like Hao Jian.

Considering the sa-grade or sa-floor classmates witnessing this, they felt humiliated; should word spread that they were bested by soone, they'd lose their reputation.

Thus, after Hao Jian's remark, they moved to encircle him, trapping him in a corner with fierce expressions.

The boy who blocked him spoke unpleasantly, "Hey, buddy, you're acting ungrateful. We were trying to help, but you're being rude. Are you looking for trouble?"

Hao Jian smiled without responding.

Seeing Hao Jian maintain silence, his slight smile intensified their disregard—they quickly beca more aggressive.

Gradually, so students realized sothing was happening, leading to a small crowd gathering to observe.

Students are often keen to watch commotions; with any minor event at school, they'd instantly form a crowd.
