Capítulo 1647: Chapter 1848: Realization Dawns

However, as soon as the dean spoke this sentence, everyone present, except for the leaders and directors who already knew Hao Jian’s identity, including the nurse who previously spread rumors out of envy of Wang Shuangshuang’s beauty, showed shock and surprise on their faces.

What’s going on here! They all knew the dean’s temperant. While deans from other hospitals might be obsequious to those with power and status, their dean was not like that. His attitude towards people was always based on their character, ignoring wealth and status.

Yet, this highly esteed dean, at this mont looking at Hao Jian, showed an expression of equality and referred to him as President Hao. President Hao? Could this be the President Hao recently sent by Shu Ya Group to negotiate a partnership with the hospital?

At that mont, shock replaced their surprise. They couldn’t imagine how soone dressed so plainly, besides having sowhat handso looks, could earn the title of President Hao from the dean.

They might have overlooked him before, but now with the dean addressing him as President Hao, and observing the current situation—where the dean personally accompanied him, along with many leaders and directors of the hospital—how could a common person enjoy such treatnt? Their attention had previously been on the dean, Wang Shuangshuang, and the gossip-spreading nurse.

At this mont, they suddenly realized that this plainly dressed young man before them was certainly not an ordinary person.

However, the most shocked one now was probably the gossip-spreading nurse. Just a mont ago, she hadn’t realized what was happening, thinking that Hao Jian was just suddenly appearing with Wang Shuangshuang. Even though Hao Jian drove a luxury car, it didn’t matter to her, as many wealthy people in Hua City could afford such cars.

So her previous attitude and tone towards Hao Jian was extrely disdainful. After all, there were many wealthy people; just being rich didn’t matter to her, as she didn’t rely on him for anything.

But… when the dean addressed Hao Jian as President Hao, she imdiately understood. In that instant, she was shocked inside!

What’s going on? Wasn’t this person just an ordinary wealthy man? How was he suddenly addressed by the dean as Hao Jian, and why would the dean consult him? She was utterly perplexed.

Of course, surprise dominated her thoughts. She was still unaware of who the dean was, while almost everyone in the hospital understood the dean’s temperant! Very few people deserved such courteous treatnt from the dean.

At this mont, an unusual thought flashed in her mind, and then regret set in.

Hao Jian glanced at her and just smiled, turning to the dean and saying, “Dean, what are you saying? They are the hospital’s nurses, and it should be up to you to decide. I, Hao, wouldn’t be involved in such matters!”

The dean listened and paused for a mont without speaking. Originally, he spoke to Hao Jian with such politeness because of the Shu Ya Group behind him, but he didn’t expect Hao Jian to be so well-mannered. If it were any other young person in this situation, they would have likely been arrogant, but Hao Jian was modest and polite, knowing his place.

Instantly, his good impression of Hao Jian increased significantly. Although he didn’t express it, the goodwill in his eyes toward Hao Jian was apparent.

On the other hand, the gossip-spreading nurse was bewildered by the unexpected turn of events. Previously just a reprimand at most, she now realized she had shot herself in the foot. However, it had reached this point, and she found herself at a loss.

The dean no longer wasted any attention on her. He cast a glance at the director in charge of the intern nurses, who imdiately understood.

Looking at her, he said, “Okay, you can clock out now. Go to the HR departnt to collect your docunts, and don’t co to work tomorrow.”

Since this happened while she was responsible for the intern nurses, although the dean didn’t explicitly state it, his expression made it clear that he had marked her negatively in his mind. The director was annoyed and gave her an even harsher glare.

You’re leaving after being dismissed, but I’ll have to clean up after you. The director looked at her with great resentnt.

When the nurse heard this, a pained expression flashed across her face, followed by utter despair. This internship opportunity was hard-won and ca at a high cost, but now it’s gone. Getting dismissed during an internship in the City Hospital would make other hospitals reluctant to hire her!

She suddenly submitted, and turning to the dean said, “Dean, I’ve realized my mistake. Please consider that I’m a newcor and ignorant. Give

another chance; I promise to work diligently and never let this happen again!”

The nurses surrounding her tightened up upon seeing her fate. They thought to themselves, “I was only listening earlier, not adding fuel to the fire. What if I too ended up like this?”

They stood quietly, heads down, without uttering a word, afraid even to breathe too loudly to not attract the dean’s attention during this tense and special ti, fearing the consequences.

They all remained silent and still, so quietly lanting for the gossiping nurse, thinking that the dean couldn’t have co at a worse ti while everyone was discussing this matter.

Most felt sorry for the gossiping nurse, but it was not the sa kind of pity as before. The nurse had been the center of hospital gossip, and many gathered around her for her juicy tidbits. Now that she was leaving, wouldn’t their days beco dull without any gossip?

Of course, this was one view, but others had different thoughts. As the saying goes, “Three won make a drama,” and among won, there was always so scheming behind seemingly peaceful interactions. While it wasn’t openly shown, they were well aware of it.

Seeing the gossiping nurse getting dismissed by the dean, they kept their faces neutral, looking down, but inside, they were gloating and delighted.

See, that’s what you get for being so ostentatious and smug. Now, you know the consequences. So were secretly thrilled.

anwhile, the gossiping nurse felt as if a stake had been driven through her heart, deflating her like a burst balloon.

This internship opportunity had been so hard to co by, and she couldn’t let it slip away. If she got dismissed, she wouldn’t find another good job, and her career prospects in Hua City would be over.

Suddenly, she looked at the dean and pleaded, “Dean, I was wrong. I really know my mistake. I guarantee it won’t happen again. Please don’t dismiss !”

The dean looked at her but showed no pity. As the saying goes, “Those to be pitied must have things to be hated.” Seeing her attitude, his heart remained calm. At his age, he had t all kinds of people, so his resolve had hardened over ti.

The gossiping nurse pleaded with the dean a few more tis, but his expression remained unchanged. It was evident from his face that he wouldn’t be swayed by her pleas.

Then she looked at the director, who wore a constant scowl because of the incident. His eyes also held annoyance, his face dark. She instantly understood his stance, realizing that pleading with him was unlikely to change anything.

Her gaze then shifted to Hao Jian. Suddenly, she approached Hao Jian with a pleading look, saying, “President Hao, I’m just soone who can’t keep my mouth shut. Please, be the bigger person and help

plead with the dean. I really don’t want to lose this job. Without it, I have no future!”

Hao Jian looked indifferent. He had rembered her previous venomous words, and he was known to hold grudges, so he naturally couldn’t forgive the gossiping nurse.

However, since the matter wasn’t directly about him, he sighed helplessly and turned his gaze to Wang Shuangshuang, signaling her to seek help from Wang.

He didn’t care much about the incident. Had it been him, he would have fired the nurse. But while it involved him, it wasn’t initiated by him, and he wasn’t the main subject, so he had to consider from the protagonist’s perspective.

Wang Shuangshuang still had to work in this hospital, and if her relationships with these nurses soured, it wouldn’t be the outco he wanted.
