After Shu Ya left, Hao Jian sat alone on the sofa, lost in thought. He pondered many future questions, such as how to live and the planning and construction of the small island he discussed with Shu Ya. He went over it repeatedly, consulting nurous resources. When it ca to fighting and picking up girls, he had a knack, but for this, his mind was blank.
Nonetheless, he did have a few ideas. As he thought about it, he took out his phone and dialed Spice Ginger's number.
No matter how busy Spice Ginger was, he always answered Hao Jian's calls the fastest, because as long as the caller ID showed Young Master Hao, he would put everything aside, no matter how important.
"Young Master Hao, what can I do for you?" Spice Ginger said as he answered the phone.
Hao Jian, holding the phone, said, "Find out if there are any islands for sale. The area shouldn't be too big but not too small either. Just tell
if you find one; money is not an issue. As long as it ets my imagination, I don't care how many people it involves."
Hearing Hao Jian's words, Spice Ginger was a bit perplexed. An island? If it were land, it would be simpler; anywhere you pay, you could buy a piece of land, but islands are generally state-owned assets. Ordinary citizens usually don't have island ownership.
After all, even though Huaxia Kingdom is vast, most regions are inland cities, with only a small portion along the coast. Naturally, rare items are more valuable, so the few islands are in the governnt's hands. It's indeed a bit difficult to acquire this land from the governnt.
However, even difficult tasks can be accomplished with money. Since Young Master Hao ntioned money wasn't an issue, although challenging, this task is still feasible.
As long as so money is invested in the governnt for projects beneficial to the country's developnt, the governnt should still make Young Master Hao's wish co true.
With this in mind, Spice Ginger had nothing more to say, confidently promising, "Rest assured, Young Master Hao, I will handle this matter properly. You just wait for my good news."
Hao Jian already knew Spice Ginger's competence. Since he said it could be handled well, then there's certainly no problem.
Hao Jian replied, "Alright, make sure this is handled well. If the money runs out, just ask your Sister Shu Ya for it. Explain this matter directly to her."
Spice Ginger silently nodded and acknowledged Hao Jian. After that, Hao Jian hung up the phone.
Having instructed this task, Hao Jian montarily set his mind at ease. He then wandered around the house aimlessly before lying on the sofa to watch TV.
After watching for a while, he suddenly rembered sothing, took his car keys, went to the underground garage, drove a car out, heading towards a certain direction—towards the Prophet's house.
Hao Jian drove at a relatively slow pace, and after about twenty or thirty minutes, he parked the car by the roadside and walked towards the Prophet's house. He had ntioned several tis that he'd get a nicer place for the Prophet in the tropolis, making it more convenient for him. However, the Prophet steadfastly declined Hao Jian's kindness, insisting that the fresh air in nature and the peace free from disturbances is the best residence.
Unable to persuade the Prophet, Hao Jian gave up this plan, resulting in him needing to cross rough paths every ti he visited the Prophet.
Finally there, Hao Jian knocked on the door, and the Prophet opened it right away, looking totally unsurprised at the sight of Hao Jian, as if he'd expected the visit.
The Prophet said, "I was about to find you. Didn't expect you to co to
instead."
Hao Jian resignedly said, "Why don't you just move to a villa I buy, so I wouldn't have to take a long and fruitless path every ti I visit you?"
After hearing this, the Prophet simply smiled without saying anything. Hao Jian was just voicing a casual complaint; he knew the Prophet wouldn't easily change his established outlook.
Hao Jian then sat down, and as usual, the Prophet brewed a cup of tea and placed it in front of him. Prophets have existed for a long ti, aging over the years, and in the long passage of ti, they habituated to cultivating health and wellness. Among their preferred practices is the art of tea, sothing many prophets appreciate. Just about every prophet knows a bit about tea-making.
Thus, every ti Hao Jian visited, the Prophet would make a cup of tea for him, which Hao Jian was already accustod to.
Hao Jian didn't appreciate tea as much as the Prophet did; feeling slightly thirsty from the journey, he downed more than half the cup in one go. The Prophet looked at Hao Jian with mournful eyes. The tea leaves were top-quality and hard to co by, but he'd made a special brew for Hao Jian, only to see it gulped down carelessly. Such wastefulness!
The Prophet lanted internally and resolved that next ti Hao Jian ca, he wouldn't brew the good tea for him anymore but let him drink sothing inferior.
After drinking the tea, a bit of thirst quenched, Hao Jian, not being a connoisseur, was unaware of the Prophet's thoughts. He looked at the Prophet and asked, "You probably already know what's going on, right?"
The Prophet sat down as well, saying, "Of course, I know. The matter is abuzz with activity; even if soone didn't, they'd know now. The God of Death moniker has caused quite the stir in the underworld again."
Judging by the Prophet's tone, Hao Jian noticed a bit of displeasure. Truth be told, the Prophet sought refuge by Hao Jian's side for peace and tranquility, but with Hao Jian now so notorious, there might be untold trouble once more.
The Prophet longed for a quiet life, but if Hao Jian invited trouble, could he really remain peaceful? Ultimately, the Prophet would have to clean up after Hao Jian, as he had several tis before, pulling him from peril. Hao Jian knew this well and understood why the Prophet felt the way he did.
Hao Jian then said, "It's not what I intended. I was planning to handle matters one by one, leaving no trace, yet Bandit God and Spear God showed up out of nowhere, so I took care of them on the spot."
But the Prophet abruptly stood up, saying, "On the spot? You make it sound easy. You just casually disposed of the God Killing God's Bandit God and Spear God! Truly, you are formidable!"
Knowing the Prophet's words ca in frustration, Hao Jian gently persuaded him back to his seat and calmly said, "Alright, let's not dwell on this. Now that Spear God is gone, within my jurisdiction, no one would dare disturb your peace. If they do, I'll have them brought back to face severe consequences for offending the all-knowing you."
The Prophet's face softened slightly with Hao Jian's promise, although there were thoughts in his mind he couldn't voice to Hao Jian. As a Prophet, already subject to divine condemnation, revealing certain things would invite further divine retribution. However, due to the bond he and Hao Jian shared, how could he conceal these thoughts?
Looking at Hao Jian, he hesitated, but ultimately couldn't overco his inner turmoil.
Staring into Hao Jian's eyes, the Prophet suddenly said, "Very well, but this is not the ti to speak of this. Co with ; there's sothing you should see."
Hao Jian, seeing the Prophet's solemn deanor, was intrigued. He knew the Prophet to be the epito of calm and thoughtfulness; it took significant events—like when Kazan led the rcenary Alliance to invade the Huaxia Ancient Martial Arts World—to stir a reaction from him. Thus, Hao Jian adopted a serious expression too.
The Prophet left, and Hao Jian followed closely behind.
Although the Prophet's ho appeared small from the outside, it was comprehensive and substantial inside, spanning three floors. The first floor served for rest and recreation, the second for sleeping quarters, and the third housed rare texts and manuscripts, where the Prophet spent most of his ti.
The Prophet led Hao Jian up to the third floor, each step leading closer. Upon entering, they were greeted by neatly arranged shelves full of books. Having been here before, Hao Jian wasn't surprised but marveled at how even a typical city library might not boast a collection as vast as the Prophet's, much of which were rare, hard-to-find manuscripts beyond reach of ordinary people.
However, the Prophet bringing Hao Jian here wasn't the ultimate destination. They moved deeper within until the Prophet grasped a gold pen, twisted, and a section of the wall shifted to reveal a door.
Hao Jian's eyes flashed with amazent and surprise; he'd visited countless tis but never knew of this hidden layer within the Prophet's third-floor library.
The Prophet looked at Hao Jian before entering the hidden room, and Hao Jian followed in.
Once inside, the door closed automatically. Though compact, the room was brightly lit, everything visible at a glance.
The Prophet walked across, pressing a switch, instantly extinguishing the light. In darkness, sparks began emitting from the Prophet's hand, illuminating the confined space spectacularly, revealing a strange and unique world before Hao Jian.
The scene revealed to Hao Jian's eyes appeared like a truly new world.
