Capítulo 1492: Chapter 1691: The Murderer’s Truth

“Hmph! No matter how impressive your skills are, when I catch the Murderer, you’ll have no choice but to acknowledge . I’m still the one in charge, and behind closed doors, I can still teach my ‘son’ a lesson!”

Yan Chen thought cheerfully to himself.

He wasn’t worried about Hao Jian not acknowledging the bet, because as long as Hao Jian didn’t concede, he had plenty of guys on his side to scare him into compliance.

As for losing, he had never considered that possibility.

Yan Chen sat with his legs crossed among the police, waiting for his officers to gather information.

anwhile, Hao Jian was peacefully and quietly lying on the sofa sleeping.

He was thinking how nice it would be to have a beautiful woman in his arms as he slept now, but unfortunately, they weren’t around. Otherwise, he could be enjoying this quiet mont with her.

But suddenly, the quiet mont was interrupted by the ringing of a phone.

The phone on the coffee table rang, displaying the number of Xie Qianqian.

Did sothing co up so soon?

Hao Jian was startled and imdiately got up to answer the call.

“He’s here!” Xie Qianqian said flatly.

“Alright!” Hao Jian replied, “If he makes a move to threaten Che Xiaoxiao’s life, act imdiately!”

“Mm!” Che Xiaoxiao nodded.

Then Hao Jian quickly hung up Che Xiaoxiao’s phone, scrolled through his contacts, and called Liang Yuwei.

Liang Yuwei was apparently busy when the call connected and took a few seconds to pick up.

“The bait’s been taken!” Hao Jian imdiately said.

Liang Yuwei, upon hearing the bait was taken, was imdiately startled and quickly stopped her work, saying, “Okay, I’m on my way!”

The two then hung up the call, and Hao Jian sent Liang Yuwei the address of Che Xiaoxiao’s place.

So Hao Jian imdiately left, driving towards Che Xiaoxiao’s house.

A red Maserati drove out of the garage, and at the sa ti, Hao Jian knew soone was observing him from across the street. He chuckled as he realized it was sent by Yan Chen.

Since it was sent by him, let the surveillance be. He was too lazy to deal with spies like this, as they didn’t pose much of a threat.

Hao Jian recklessly revved the engine, and it roared as he sped towards Che Xiaoxiao’s house!

anwhile, Yan Chen’s spy near Hao Jian’s ho saw him leave and imdiately called Yan Chen.

Yan Chen, sitting in the car with eyes closed, was disturbed by the phone ringing, annoyed at first, then perked up upon seeing his spy’s na on the screen and answered the call.

The person on the other end imdiately said, “Boss, Hao Jian suddenly got a call, made another call, and then left in a hurry!”

Yan Chen, who was lying down, imdiately sat up excitedly.

“Damn it! Since he left, why aren’t you following him! If you lose him, I’ll hold you accountable!”

The spy on the other end was stunned.

“Boss, I’m on it!”

After saying this, Yan Chen hung up, and the spy imdiately drove off to chase Hao Jian.

At the sa ti, Yan Chen called his friend in the police force to help track Hao Jian’s whereabouts.

Hao Jian previously seed calm at ho, possibly having people outside tracking to lure Yan Chen into thinking he wasn’t interested in the case.

In reality, everything had already been arranged.

Now, suddenly leaving ho suggests sothing happened; perhaps they found the Murderer, or even caught him.

So he had to find Hao Jian before he arrived, or else he might lose the bet.

Yan Chen thought, looking anxious.

Just then, a subordinate officer excitedly told Yan Chen, “Boss, we’ve found the Murderer’s location!”

Hao Jian imdiately shouted, “No more talking, move it!”

Without waiting to hear more, Yan Chen quickly gathered his n, and four or five police cars imdiately started their engines and rushed to a location.

By then, Hao Jian had already reached the vicinity of Che Xiaoxiao’s house.

To avoid alarming the target, Hao Jian parked nearby and walked over.

Very soon, he spotted Xie Qianqian, who signaled to him with a glance.

The Murderer was the person Hao Jian and Liang Yuwei had encountered a few days earlier, undoubtedly confirming his identity.

The Murderer slowly approached Che Xiaoxiao’s house, observing the interior.

Inside was only Che Xiaoxiao, wearing headphones and lying on the sofa watching TV, completely unguarded. There were no movents around, indicating no one noticed this detail.

Right now was the perfect ti to act.

Thinking, the Murderer quickly prepared to enter Che Xiaoxiao’s ho.

However, just as the Murderer was about to move, suddenly a figure lunged at him.

This person was Hao Jian.

The Murderer was shocked, realizing it was an ambush, and imdiately tried to flee.

At this ti, Hao Jian was already behind him. Seeing no one on the left, he imdiately ran to the left.

Just as he made the move, suddenly Xie Qianqian appeared and kicked him with full force. Without any defense, he was struck by Xie Qianqian’s kick.

Xie Qianqian’s kick was quite powerful, knocking the Murderer directly to the ground.

The Murderer struggled, trying to get up and run again, but in the next instant, Hao Jian was already standing beside him.

He struggled to get up, but Hao Jian stomped him heavily back down onto the ground.

At that mont, Che Xiaoxiao had already heard the commotion outside and followed the sound to approach.

Upon seeing this, Che Xiaoxiao was stunned to see soone under Hao Jian’s foot.

Che Xiaoxiao exclaid in surprise: “Hao Jian, this is the Murderer you ntioned!”

Hao Jian nodded and said, “Yes.”

The Murderer also heard this remark. He struggled underneath Hao Jian’s foot, initially thinking that this ti he could flawlessly capture Hao Jian’s confidante, then proceed step-by-step, finally targeting Hao Jian, but unexpectedly, he had already failed at this stage.

Upon hearing this, he realized he had fallen into Hao Jian’s trap.

It turned out everything was a facade, waiting for him to walk right into the snare.

The Murderer struggled, trying to escape Hao Jian’s restraint.

However, Hao Jian’s foot pressed harder and harder.

At this ti, Liang Yuwei had arrived according to the address given by Hao Jian.

She parked the car and saw that it was the Murderer who had escaped from the rental house a few days ago under Hao Jian’s foot, instantly getting excited.

She walked up to Hao Jian and then asked, “How did you catch him?”

Hao Jian arrogantly flipped his face, then said, “Do I need to say? Of course, it’s the heroically impressive and most handso !”

Xie Qianqian unapologetically retorted, “Shaless.”

Hearing this, Liang Yuwei could naturally infer the occurrence and process of events.

But that wasn’t the main point now. Since they’ve captured the Murderer, the next step was to interrogate him.

Hao Jian pulled up the Murderer’s clothes a little, then discovered several shocking bullet hole marks. It seed that Liang Yuwei had indeed fired heavily.

However, what astonished Hao Jian was the Murderer’s recuperative ability, managing to heal his wounds in such a short period. The wounds had already healed, leaving only the scars.

For ordinary people, this would have been impossible. It seed the Murderer must have so unique thod for recovery.

At this mont, the Murderer suddenly shot a vicious glance at Hao Jian and snorted.

“Hmph! Let

go if you dare!” the Murderer said.

Without a word, Hao Jian slapped him and said, “You think I’m stupid? Letting you go ans you’ll escape!”

The Murderer glared furiously at Hao Jian, wanting to retaliate, but couldn’t move as his hands were bound by Hao Jian.

Hao Jian’s face suddenly turned serious, then he released the Murderer, allowing him to move freely.

No matter how he tries to run, he can’t escape the grasp of Hao Jian.

The Murderer might have realized the gap in power between them, so when Hao Jian released him, he didn’t attempt to flee.

At this ti, Hao Jian squatted down, looking at him seriously and asked, “Who sent you here?”

The Murderer pretended to be very proud, then said, “I guess you saw those photos and docunts that night. If it weren’t for you suddenly finding the rental house, you wouldn’t have seen them, otherwise, you couldn’t have captured

today. It’s quite strange, since you already know I was specifically coming for you, why haven’t you made a move yet?”

After pausing, the Murderer arrogantly looked at Hao Jian and said, “If you act, you won’t know anything!”

Liang Yuwei knew the course of events, so what the Murderer said agitated her greatly.

Before Hao Jian could speak, Liang Yuwei grabbed the Murderer’s collar and angrily said, “Will you talk or not!”

But the Murderer just burst out laughing.

Then he said, “And what can you do if I don’t talk? Kill ?”

While speaking, the Murderer arrogantly cast a glance at Hao Jian.

At this mont, Hao Jian suddenly gave Xie Qianqian a look.

Xie Qianqian understood, quietly walked behind Liang Yuwei, and then, while Liang Yuwei wasn’t paying attention, knocked her out.

Completely unprepared, Liang Yuwei was struck suddenly, and in an instant, fainted, losing her balance, her body slumping down.
