Chapter 1250: Chapter 1248: Bafil’s Move!

“Bafil Boss! Bafil Boss!”

In the slums of Mongomo, a dark figure suddenly ran into a mud house, shouting loudly.

“Gewen, you brat, being so reckless again, do you want the boss to get rid of you?”

The young black man called Gewen heard this voice, turned pale, hurriedly stopped, gasping for breath, as he looked at the figure walking out of a room.

This was a man with dark skin, eyes bright as stars but with a cold glint, and his lips were pierced by a silver ring.

“Isolde Boss, no… it’s not…”

Gewen’s face was pale, waving his hands quickly, speaking incoherently.

“Isolde, you’re bullying people again, you brat.”

A two-ter-tall black man walked out from the room, he appeared relatively normal looking, and upon seeing him erge, Gewen looked delighted, while Isolde showed reverence.

Simply because this man was Bafil, also the boss here!

Bafil, a genuine African black man, and one of the uprising warlords, although this warlord was considered the weakest among all.

His territory was the slums of Mongomo, and because it was just these slums, he dared to take it as his domain, only because those powerful warlords fought for places that soone of his level couldn’t participate in.

His team was comprised of fifty or so slum dwellers, poorly equipped, with no backing, yet this weak group beca one of the warlords in the slum.

The reason for this, of course, was that those big warlords and governnt forces saw him as an extrely small force that couldn’t cause any waves beyond the Mongomo slums, hence not bothering him.

Moreover, even if they did cause trouble, there would be little profit to loot, as they were all just slum-dwellers, and whatever profit might not even cover the cost of bullets fired.

As one of the warlords who dared to rise, Bafil also knew his strength, so he dared not stray beyond his own little territory, relying on the ignorance of the big players to survive in these chaotic tis.

Should he attract too much attention by displaying excessive strength, he was sure his force would be crushed dozens of tis over by those guys.

Yet, even in control of this slum, all he could get each day was just so food, as money was not in circulation here, although gold was another matter.

But in a country like Equatorial Guinea, forget gold, even getting a silver ornant required a few years of struggle, as life for slum-dwellers was not that simple.

“Speak, Gewen, what’s the matter?”

Bafil cherished his subordinates, as there were only about fifty of them, and losing one ant one less. If his subordinates dropped below a certain number, the few hundred slum dwellers he managed might directly strike.

“Bafil Boss, food! I saw food!”

Gewen looked excited, speaking incoherently.

“Be clearer!”

Bafil’s eyes lit up, but what Gewen said was too vague, so he coldly snorted to scare him a bit.

“I saw food! A group of outsiders carrying a lot of food entered Mongomo City and ca to our slum!”

“How many?”

“Twenty-one people, the stuff they’re carrying is enough to feed all of us for half a month!”

“So much!?”

Upon hearing this number, Bafil and Isolde exchanged glances filled with desire, a deep thirst for food.

Equatorial Guinea was already an underdeveloped country with immature technology and unable to be self-sufficient.

Here, grain was the most precious food, with most people only able to afford what they grew themselves, while state-sourced food was entirely dependent on imports.

Now the nation was in chaos, each warlord uprising, who would care about these grain imports? It used to be managed by the ruling group, but now they were overwheld dealing with these warlords, let alone a recent event that heavily weakened them.

Without food, there was no sustainable life, and small rising warlords in Equatorial Guinea fought for just one mouthful of food.

Like Bafil, who used every thod possible to extract from these slum dwellers, they could only survive by these ans.

Now, the food brought by Hao Jian and others beca their hope, such a bounty of food was beyond their imagination. If each person ate sparingly, they might stretch it to a month, coupled with their stored grain, they could last three months.

And after three months, they would have their own crops, slowly forming a cycle, no longer having to worry about food scarcity.

After all, in these turbulent tis, acquiring a piece of land is quite easy, you can plant sothing anywhere and get by.

“Isolde, it seems our food supply is going to increase again!”

Bafil grinned, a smug laugh escaping him, which made Isolde laugh as well. The opposing force only had twenty-one people, but their faction had more than fifty, allowing them to approach with overwhelming strength.

Not to ntion they also had weapons…

Isolde touched the weapon at his waist, feeling increasingly smug.

“Boss Bafil, when do we set off?!”

Isolde turned his head to look at Bafil, eyes filled with impatience.

Bafil scratched his head, pondered for a while, and finally waved his hand decisively, saying, “There is no ti to lose, gather all the brothers imdiately. We’re going to pull off a big one!”

“Those guys have just arrived there, let’s head over before they consu all our stuff!”

“Every piece of food they eat is one less for us. We can’t let these guys eat everything up, it’s our stuff after all!”

Upon hearing this, Isolde also gave a cold laugh. He obviously knew what this ant. He imdiately took strides toward the hut’s exit; he had to gather their n.

And just as Bafil and his people were preparing to make their move against Hao Jian and others, under the guidance of Teng Wei, Hao Jian and the others arrived at a small two-story mud house. It was an unoccupied small mud house, or rather, it had had several owners before Hao Jian and the others moved in.

In the slums here, people built their own houses; when a house’s owner died, the house would be left unattended, naturally being taken over by soone else.

The mud house Hao Jian and his group found now had obviously been without an owner for a long ti. Compared to the houses in the city, living in the slums made them less likely to be noticed.

Moreover, while coming over, Hao Jian and the others erased their tracks, thus maximizing the chances of avoiding detection by those guys.

However, what made Hao Jian and his group sowhat helpless was that there was no running water in the slums, and the nearest lake was at least three kiloters away.

That lake was where the poor here sourced their water. But Hao Jian and his group were now in need of rest, so no one was sent to fetch water imdiately.

As soon as they entered the house, Evelyn sent Teng Wei out again, accompanied by another person, a girl nad Pexin. She was a white girl, but even Teng Wei found it hard to keep pace with her scouting expertise.

With these two going out, Evelyn wasn’t worried about not getting any news; they were professionals.

“Boss, we settled here, those guys shouldn’t find this place.”

“Mm, I hope so. The God of rcenary and the God of Assassins shouldn’t have co along, as I haven’t sensed their presence.”

Hao Jian nodded. If both the God of rcenary and the God of Assassins were here, completing this mission would be quite challenging.

Although his strength was formidable, he could only fight the God of rcenary and the God of Assassins to a draw at best. The rest of his n could only have an even match against those two guys’ subordinates. But don’t forget, they ca here for a mission!

Since it’s a mission, there would naturally be support for them, which is sothing to consider.

“Let’s wait for Teng Wei and Pexin to return, see what they’ve found out, and then specifically plan what actions to take.”

“But it seems those two won’t co back until tomorrow. For now, let’s take a rest, adjust to the ti difference.”

Hao Jian yawned and stretched before intending to head upstairs. Just as he took a step, a sudden sound ca from behind him.

“Soone’s here!”

Eyes turning cold instantly, Hao Jian flicked his hand, several nails appearing in his grip. The remaining eighteen n were already on full alert, their gazes equally cold like Hao Jian’s.

Just monts ago, during their conversation, they sensed the rapid approach of killing intent, which differed in intensity based on their strength.

“Boom!”

A loud noise erupted as the already fragile door was kicked from its hinges by a leg wearing camouflage pants. A tall, dark-skinned man walked in, holding a poorly-made shotgun—in reality, it was a homade shotgun.

“Uh…”

Seeing over ten people filing in, the originally small mud house instantly beca crowded. Hao Jian helplessly touched his nose; these guys really had audacity!
