Chapter 1145: Chapter 1143: Shu Ya’s High Fever

Granny began to hurl insults directly at Hao Jian, mixed with a threat, causing Hao Jian’s previously helpless expression to gradually turn gloomy.

Such a granny, truly unreasonable!

“Hmph!”

Hao Jian sneered coldly, looking at Granny, and said, “I advise you to go ho as soon as possible, stop causing trouble here.”

“I’ve recently been raising a Tibetan Mastiff at ho. This guy eats a cow every day, and I just happened to not feed him today. Do you think if I let him out he might bite you?”

Hao Jian stared at Granny, seeing her face turn pale, his lips curled into a cold smile, and he continued, “Even though your at is a bit tough, a hungry Tibetan Mastiff wouldn’t care what kind of at you are.”

“You… you can’t let it out!”

Granny was frightened by the thought of the Tibetan Mastiff in Hao Jian’s words, her face turned pale. It’s a Tibetan Mastiff! She, an unard old woman, wouldn’t stand a chance against it.

“Oh? Why can’t I let it out?”

Hao Jian laughed coldly toward the sky, his gaze falling directly on Granny, snorted coldly, and said, “Since you’re causing trouble at my doorstep, can’t I use my own thods to scare you off?!”

“I have plenty of money. If it bites you to death, at most I’ll pay so compensation and then kill the Tibetan Mastiff. Anyway, it’s eating up my house every day, I’ve long wanted to stew it, and you just gave

a reason.”

To scare off the granny, the only thing left was intimidation, and seeing Granny’s face change revealed her typical bully-the-weak-fear-the-strong personality.

As long as he could scare her off, Hao Jian didn’t care what he was saying. Whether he had a Tibetan Mastiff at ho or not, only he knew, Granny wouldn’t possibly know, so this threat was sufficient.

“You… you… you…”

Granny trembled, her old face pale and bloodless, this person intends to use a dog to bite her to death?!

“What do you an ‘you’? If you don’t leave, I’ll really let that guy out!”

Hao Jian coldly looked at Granny, for this kind of old person, he didn’t feel the need to respect her, thus his tone carried no respect whatsoever.

“Ah!”

Granny suddenly shrieked, dropped the broom in her hand to the ground, and quickly scurried back to her house across the street.

“You all rember this! I’ll rember this grudge!”

“Threatening ! You’ll all have a bad ending!”

Granny ran back ho, her words hanging in the air, causing Hao Jian to chuckle, shrug, and dismiss the matter.

The least he’s afraid of is threats, but this granny is indeed peculiar, he lived here for so long and didn’t realize he had such an odd granny opposite him?

“Forget it, as long as it’s resolved,”

Shaking his head, Hao Jian stepped toward the Enzo Car, opened the door, got in, and grinned at Shu Ya, saying, “See, it’s better to have a man in the house.”

“You’re so impressive!”

Originally planning to praise Hao Jian, Shu Ya rolled her eyes at him upon hearing his self-centered remark, choosing to ignore him.

“Co on, I’m serious, more real than gold!”

Faced with Shu Ya’s attitude, Hao Jian played it thick-skinned, grabbed Shu Ya’s shoulders, stared intently at her, and nodded emphatically.

“I think that Tibetan Mastiff would be better than you.”

Shu Ya pouted, refusing to give him any chance to be smug, imdiately countering with the fictional Tibetan Mastiff Hao Jian had made up.

Upon hearing this, Hao Jian shrugged, and said, “If you want it, I can get a few for you right now, though you wouldn’t need to go to work anymore.”

“You dare?!”

Shu Ya intended it as a joke, fearing Hao Jian might take her seriously. If a few Tibetan Mastiffs really ca into this house, the neighboring residents would be hard to appease, they’d complain daily, which would be truly annoying.

“Hehe.”

Hao Jian chuckled softly, not continuing the conversation, knowing if he did Shu Ya would surely flare up, so the playful banter stopped there.

Seeing Hao Jian silent, Shu Ya waved her small pink fists and snorted softly, not speaking further, yet her charming face spread with a radiant warmth.

For Hao Jian’s perfect resolution this ti, Shu Ya was delighted, though her mouth voiced rejection, her heart was ward and embraced.

Hao Jian slowly parked the car by the roadside, returned ho with Shu Ya hand in hand, and slowly made their way upstairs.

Fortunately, Hao Jian put the dishes into the warr after cooking, so they wouldn’t get cold. After the two of them quickly finished the al, they began to clean up the table.

…………………………

“Huff huff huff…”

The next morning, Hao Jian was suddenly awakened by the sound of labored breathing. When he ca to, he saw Shu Ya beside him, her face flushed, and sweat continually running down her body.

“What’s going on?”

Seeing Shu Ya like this, Hao Jian looked puzzled. He imdiately placed his palm on Shu Ya’s forehead, but just as he did so, his expression dramatically changed.

“A fever?!”

Based on the temperature felt through his palm, Hao Jian roughly estimated that the fever was almost thirty-nine degrees. This was a high fever!

“She was fine yesterday. How did she suddenly have such a high fever overnight? Last night’s food was perfectly fine, no conflicts at all!”

“How could she have such a high fever?!”

Hao Jian’s expression was grim. Generally speaking, a high fever is usually preceded by symptoms, but Hao Jian didn’t see any signs on Shu Ya. She just woke up in the morning with a fever. How could this be so strange?!

“I have to stabilize her condition first.”

There wasn’t ti for Hao Jian to think too much. He imdiately put on his cotton slippers, ran to a nearby cabinet, grabbed his coat, and pulled out a set of Golden Needles from it. The priority was to stabilize Shu Ya’s condition. This high fever wasn’t sothing to be taken lightly.

“No wonder it was so hot while sleeping last night.”

Seeing Shu Ya’s pale face, her small mouth slightly open, continuously exhaling hot air, and her painful expression, Hao Jian’s face beca even more grim. This illness was so unnatural!

Perhaps due to the high fever, Shu Ya temporarily lost consciousness. No matter how Hao Jian called her, she didn’t respond, only murmuring in an unclear dreamtalk.

“She’s even losing her awareness…”

Seeing Shu Ya’s worsening condition, Hao Jian’s expression grew more solemn. He was observing, examining the progression of the illness within Shu Ya’s body. But despite the ti that had passed, Hao Jian could only see her condition worsening without finding any signs of her body resisting.

“Has her bodily functions stopped self-protecting too?”

This situation caused Hao Jian to furrow his brow. He hadn’t found the right opportunity to use acupuncture yet, and until he did, all he could do was let Shu Ya endure the pain on her own.

Generally, when people are sick, their bodily functions will self-protect, suppressing the illness to prevent it from worsening. Even with a high fever, self-protection chanisms like sweating should occur.

But apart from sweating and fever, Shu Ya showed no other signs of self-protection. Hao Jian had never seen anything like this before.

Even when he was by his master’s side, he hadn’t encountered such a bizarre high fever. Though it didn’t stump him, finding the right mont for acupuncture was proving difficult.

“Got it!”

After five minutes, Hao Jian’s eyes suddenly widened, and he quickly drove a Golden Needle between two of Shu Ya’s acupuncture points on her head.

“Swish swish swish!”

In just a few moves, Hao Jian inserted over twenty needles into different points on Shu Ya’s head and body before stopping. However, even after he finished, Hao Jian’s expression remained grave, simply because this illness was more complicated than he had anticipated.

He could only temporarily suppress Shu Ya’s condition, but couldn’t achieve a cure, because he discovered a peculiar situation in Shu Ya’s body.

At first, with five needles, Hao Jian managed to reduce Shu Ya’s fever to 37 degrees. With a bit more effort, her fever could’ve been cured.

But unexpectedly, just as he was about to continue, a force appeared out of nowhere, breaking through the restriction of the five needles and causing the high fever to resu.

Every ti after that, Hao Jian noticed the sa situation. However, as he increased the number of needles, the situation gradually weakened. By the ti he inserted twenty-six needles, he had finally managed to suppress it completely.

“Originally, nine needles would have sufficed to resolve the fever. But this ti, so many acupuncture points were needed…”

Hao Jian’s expression was grave, his eyes filled with worry as he looked at Shu Ya’s deeply furrowed brow.

“Where is the root of the problem? If it can’t be found, she will remain in this state, but her health won’t last a few days…”

Hao Jian scratched his head vigorously. He couldn’t figure out what the problem was. His dical skills were among the top ten in Huaxia, and today he was beaten by a simple high fever. If word got out, many doctors would laugh at him.

“Sigh.”

After working for a long ti, Hao Jian stole a mont to run to the kitchen, pour himself a glass of water, and then went to the balcony, his face full of worry. Shu Ya’s condition made him very concerned.

Suddenly, Hao Jian’s face changed dramatically, his eyes locked intently on the front…
