“Sir, Miss, this way, please!”
After Hao Jian gestured to Brother Spice Ginger and the others, a waiter from inside the restaurant imdiately freed up and ran over to Hao Jian and Lin Qingxue, guiding them to a two-person table by the window.
“Order whatever you want to eat!”
Taking the nu handed over by the waiter, Hao Jian looked at Lin Qingxue and said with a smile.
“Okay, sure!”
Lin Qingxue didn’t stand on ceremony and imdiately ordered a few dishes she liked, but as soon as she did, she suddenly paused—wasn’t she the one treating today? How co she ended up ordering herself?
Right then, Lin Qingxue quietly glanced at Hao Jian, wanting to ntion it to him, but Hao Jian just kept ordering food on his own, not responding to her gaze, and she wasn’t sure if it was intentional or not.

Lin Qingxue shook her head silently. Anyway, Hao Jian wouldn’t care, and when the ti ca, she could just run to pay the bill herself. If this guy dared to snatch it, she would definitely teach him a lesson!

Hao Jian only ordered two steaks before handing the nu back to the waiter. Lin Qingxue had already ordered quite a lot—any more and the table wouldn’t have space.

in any other aspect?!”
Wu Cheng couldn’t figure it out. He had everything one could want, better than this kid in every way, yet why wouldn’t Lin Qingxue look his way? She’d rather be with this poorly dressed bumpkin, despite his family’s considerable influence in Hua City!
If she were with him, wouldn’t Lin Qingxue have everything she could ever want?! Yet she chose to hang around with this bumpkin!

Wu Cheng’s face turned grim, and in the span of a few steps, these thoughts flashed quickly through his mind, his expression growing darker until it was as gloomy as stormy waters.

The subordinates eating with Brother Spice Ginger not far away suddenly witnessed this scene, their expressions changed drastically, and they imdiately looked toward Brother Spice Ginger. If sothing happened to Young Master Hao, they feared they would be directly blad by their own gang later!

Upon hearing this, Brother Spice Ginger glanced at those people, sneered, shook his head, and said, “Without Young Master Hao’s order, nobody is allowed to act. Otherwise, if Young Master Hao blas you later, I won’t plead for you.”

With Brother Spice Ginger’s reassurance, the subordinates breathed a sigh of relief. As long as Young Master Hao was fine, what did it matter to them?

The commotion when Wu Cheng and his group entered was so big that everyone noticed, and Lin Qingxue couldn’t fail to notice either. When she saw Wu Cheng, her pretty face changed slightly and she instinctively let out a low cry.

Hao Jian glanced at Wu Cheng, who was walking towards them, but paid no attention.

But with a few slight head movents, Hao Jian easily dodged the spray, which mostly landed on the floor.
“Speak! Who are you?! Daring to make a move on my girl?! Are you courting death?!”
Upon hearing this, Hao Jian chuckled disdainfully, looking at Wu Cheng with a face full of mockery. He laughed, “I’m Lin Qingxue’s boyfriend, is that enough?”
Boyfriend?
Upon hearing Hao Jian’s words, everyone’s expressions changed. Lin Qingxue’s face imdiately blushed bright red, like a ripe apple.
However, she said nothing to refute it because those words filled her heart with imnse sweetness. Although they hadn’t confessed or officially beco a couple, Lin Qingxue was overwhelmingly delighted, feeling sweeter than eating a thousand honey candies.

Each slur of ‘trash’ made Hao Jian’s face gradually turn cold, a silent sneer streaming beneath the surface, though he didn’t act on it.
Lin Qingxue, initially happy to hear Hao Jian claim to be her boyfriend, suddenly felt anger on her pretty face after hearing Wu Cheng’s harsh words.
Then, like a protective mother cow, she shouted at Wu Cheng, “Wu Cheng, that’s enough!”
When Lin Qingxue finally spoke, Wu Cheng’s face beca even uglier, roaring, “Fine, fine, fine! You’re siding with an outsider, I’m… I’m furious!”
Although Wu Cheng was angry, he retained so sense and didn’t lash out at Lin Qingxue. Instead, he directed his anger at Hao Jian, glaring furiously.
“Kid, don’t think just because Qingxue backs you up, I won’t dare to do anything to you!”
Wu Cheng shouted, his gaze fixed on Hao Jian, until he suddenly noticed a waiter standing still not far away with a tray. The items on it were evidently what Hao Jian and his group had ordered, prompting Wu Cheng’s eyes to suddenly narrow.
