When Leon saw the information, he was surprised. The weapon was an E-ranked weapon, and its damage output was higher than his dagger—even with its frail-looking shape.

His father’s dagger was just a normal weapon—produced from iron and other common materials by a local ironsmith or blacksmith.

But ranked weapons?

Those were entirely different.

They were created by talented blacksmiths who could fuse and condense Qi and elental essence into hardened ore, forged through temperatures no normal fire could reach—flas born not from coal or wood, but from the very breath of elental Qi.

Most blacksmiths had affinities for elents like fire, heat, sun, or other energies that could raise temperatures to such extres.

This weapon—it looked like a dagger, yes—but the blade was fused with the sharp claws of the mutant chicken he had killed. The claws had been lded to the dagger’s edge, making the blade serrated like a saw, but deadlier.

He knew it was one of a kind.

He had never seen or even heard of a saw-like dagger before.

Though... he had heard of sothing similar.

A sword—crafted from the razor-sharp teeth of the Beast Devouring Shark, a monstrous creature that lived deep in the abyss of this world’s oceans. A matured Beast Devouring Shark could grow over twenty ters in length. It was one of the largest and most feared creatures in the sea—famous for eating anything, whether it was hungry or not.

And if a female of the species gave birth while starving?

It would slaughter and devour its own offspring without a second thought.

Food was scarce in the abyss. Qi was dense. Any creature that gave off strong enough essence beca prey, regardless of size.

Even the largest beast in the ocean had to tread carefully around that shark.

’Well... good for ,’ Leon thought, shifting his stance and tightening his grip on the weapon. ’Makes things easier.’

He imdiately switched from dodging to attacking. With weapons in both hands now, his offense beca sharper, faster, more confident.

He could have run. He could’ve looked for a place to hide.

But he chose not to.

Why?

It wasn’t his thirst for strength. Nor was it his stubborn survival instinct in this ruthless world.

No.

It was the unknown.

The one thing he feared the most.

This beast, this terrain—they were more familiar with this dungeon than him. If he ran, he could be running straight into a trap.

So rather than fleeing one problem only to stumble into sothing worse, he’d stand his ground and fight.

---

’Master is wise... just like he was in the past,’ the crystal thought to itself within a dark dinsion, glowing faintly, its light illuminating everything within that space.

---

’I don’t know what lurks in that corner of the dungeon... best to deal with this one now. Maybe then I’ll scout for others...’

---

EXP Calculations are not shown

To level up, he must kill exactly ten beasts of his current level.

Alternatively, 2 to 5 higher-level beasts will also suffice.

Each new level adds 10 more beasts required for the next level-up.

Examples

LVL 1 → 10 level 1 beasts or 5 level 2 beasts

LVL 2 → 20 level 2 beasts or 10 level 3 beasts

---

Shaking the thoughts from his head, Leon continued to fight.

His previous battle had taken him five whole minutes. He wasn’t yet strong enough to strike hundreds of tis in a single breath. But after every kill, he could feel sothing—energy surging through him, refreshing him, making his body feel light.

He kept going.

Fighting. Killing. Growing stronger.

He left the rewards—coins and loot—lying around. Not because he didn’t want them. He wanted them. Silver coins were still the accepted currency back in the Empire. And as soone who grew up poor, even one silver coin ant a lot.

But with this system? He would beco rich.

It wasn’t like he planned to buy things anyway.

Everything he wanted... he would steal.

No big deal about that.

Since he planned to go against the Emperor’s empire, he would start by destroying its very foundation—its economy.

He would hoard all the money he ca across and never spend a single one. He would keep collecting until silver beca so rare that nobles would start selling their mansions just to get a coin... even the Emperor himself would be forced to beg.

And during every raid... he would take everything.

Leave nothing.

His na... would echo.

SUPRE THIEF!

He would make that na feared throughout the entire world of Hearth.

Sure, he cared about the poor—those like himself—but not enough to give up on revenge.

He wouldn’t stop until he was satisfied.

By then, the poor would be more respectable, more likable than the Emperor.

He’d reduce the Emperor to a begging worm.

And he would not grant him an easy death.

No—he would drag him through a path of suffering, until the only words that could escape his royal lips would be:

"Please... kill ."

That was the day he dread of.

And he would bring that day to pass—even if it cost him his life.

Let them call him a coward. A criminal. A demon. He didn’t care.

He had a mission. A path.

And nothing else mattered.

He knew that this plan of his would affect many people—even the poor.

But so what?

That’s just how it is.

---

Shaking the thoughts from his mind, Leon got back to killing. His daggers danced through the air, slashing through chicken beasts one after another.

It didn’t take long before he reached his goal.

Ten Level 1 beasts slain.

Though satisfied with his level-up, a new thought crept in.

Fighting beasts of the sa level wasn’t as hard anymore—not after the first few.

And with the saw dagger in his hand, battles beca way too easy.

’Why haven’t I seen any LVL 2, 3, or 4 beasts yet?’

"System, where are the higher-level beasts? I want to et one.

"Beasts thesa rank as are no fun"
