Even his skin changed. The outer layer beca tougher and more resistant to damage, while still maintaining its normal appearance and flexibility.
Tiny spiritual energy pathways ford just beneath the surface, creating an additional defensive layer.
Black impurities began to seep from his pores as his body purged accumulated toxins and waste materials.

But he wouldn’t attempt that yet. He wanted to consolidate his current realm first and use the journey ahead to prepare properly.
Rushing a breakthrough was the mistake of amateurs. A solid foundation required patience.
