Chapter 942: Chapter 810: Guarding, Qin’s Battle!
Mu Qingyi’s Soul Sense was the strongest, and as she covered each person with it, few could escape her sharp perception.
Chu Mu stood at the very front of the Soul Lord Legion, his attention on Ning Man’er. He couldn’t discern Ning Man’er’s disguise, but perhaps Mu Qingyi might notice sothing—this was Chu Mu’s concern.
Fortunately, Mu Qingyi did not linger too long on the mysteriously dressed Ning Man’er. It seed Ning Man’er had successfully deceived her.
However, when Mu Qingyi’s Soul Sense swept over the Soul Lord Legion, Chu Mu could feel it pausing on him,
“You’re already injured in your Four Souls, why partake in this sort of life-and-death battle?” Mu Qingyi asked with her ntal Sound.
“War is also a form of tempering,” Chu Mu didn’t answer truthfully.
Mu Qingyi only asked once and didn’t say more.
…
The White Tiger at the very center of the snowy plain slowly began to move.
Even without any explanation, both armies understood very well that when this White Tiger stepped out of the center, it would be the mont of their decisive clash of life and death.
At that mont, spells were silently prepared by each person, all Soul pet trainer legions ford their formations according to the initial deploynt, ready for battle!
Chu Mu was in the Soul Lord Legion, and over these past days, he had co to understand the division of the corps quite well.
If we were to categorize the combat roles, Soul Pets were generally divided into three types: Attack, Defense, and Support.
And based on these three categories, further subdivisions were made, with Attack consisting of the Aerial Warfare Corps that possessed the ability to fly;
The Close Combat Legion mainly composed of Beast type and Insect Species;
The Dark Combat Corps ford by Demon Spirits;
And the Long-range Combat Corps composed of Elental soul pets,
Within the defense category, the focus was mainly on protecting the Elental Life’s long-range troops and the Soul pet trainers, which was divided into:
The Close Combat defense line, mostly made up of the Horned Armor Tribe and the Armored Insect Clan;
The Plant defensive line composed of Wood Type and Vine Family.
The final bulwark ford by the sturdy Rock Type and Ice Elent creatures.
Last was the Support category.
Support personnel were actually not very nurous; it could be said that in this world of Soul Pet Masters, among 100 Soul Pet Masters, there was only 1 dedicated Support Soul Pet Master, and they were mostly won.
In Chu Mu’s 200-mber Soul Lord Legion, there were only a total of 10 Support Soul Pet Masters, so there wasn’t much difference whether they were divided further or not.
All 10 Support Soul Pet Masters were won, led by Zhuo Wan whom Chu Mu had seen in the library before. She and her Soul Pets were the key protection targets and were also most likely to be attacked by the enemy Strong Ones.
Though their numbers were only 10, the role they played was definitely no less significant than any specific division of the corps, because of Ye Qingzi, Chu Mu knew all too well the importance of Support Soul Pet Masters on the Battlefield, especially in such Army-wide wars.
The figure of the White Tiger had gradually left the Plain, and almost without a special command, when all Soul Pets were called forth, instantly filling both camps and forming into real Soul Pet Armies, the two sides confronted with an atmosphere as surging as a Storm. The killing intent clashed right where the White Tiger stood before, causing the temperature to drop sharply, it was noticeable that across the vast Plain, snow fluttered everywhere, except between the two armies, where not a single snowflake fell!
The Soul Covenant and the Three Great Palaces had been fighting in Snow City for a long ti; the hatred escalated to the extre, and now that hatred transford into killing intent beca nurous Life-taking Swords, resonating over the snowy ground, and likely even a Soul Emperor standing in the center would be shaken to jelly legs by the montum from both sides.
Kill!
This is the best way to resolve stance, hatred, and strife!
When thousands of people shout the word “kill” simultaneously, how earth-shattering it is!!
…
The roars of the demon beasts are like thunder, and when they run wildly, it is like a tsunami approaching from the distant horizon, rolling and thundering, making the ground shake violently!!
Their piercing shrieks fill the endless sky, which becos their boundless battlefield, where they will clash in soaring slaughter!!!
The elental chant sounds like a lody, with different attributes of light hidden in those hands that control destructive power, ready at any mont to set off splendid fireworks of death on the battlefield!
The thick roots, tangled and interwoven, spread across the snowy terrain like serpents unleashed, their fury heralding the onslaught of the most frightful attacks.
The vines with their distributed chains, forming a forest of tendrils, and the hidden poisonous sting in the undergrowth, will turn any enemy that cos near into their fertilizer!!
All along, Chu Mu had been cultivating alone and fighting alone. He truly encountered war only after reaching the Emperor Level during the outbreak in Zhehuang.
However, compared to Zhehuang, the shock brought to Chu Mu by the current decisive battle is far stronger than imagined. Soul Emperors, Soul Lords, Soul Masters, the warfare between humans themselves—standing on such a battlefield, who dares to call themselves the Dominator of everything without reaching the Dominator Level?
It’s a feeling of insignificance. Setting aside his half-demon status, even Chu Mu standing here would seem insignificant, feel sowhat powerless, let alone most of the soul pet trainers whose strengths were far inferior to his own.
But why does everyone still stand here, knowing their own insignificance, issuing ear-piercing war cries? Why does no one show any sign of retreating or cowardice in the face of the fierce and powerful presence of the enemy that chills the spine? Why do even delicate won stand unwaveringly on the battlefield that will soon be filled with bloodshed and slaughter…
Because they have a common goal!
Failure ans losing everything!
Therefore, in this battle with their backs against the wall, victory is a must!
Standing quietly in the midst of this human-slaughtering battlefield, Chu Mu might be the only one who had the least reason to be involved in this fight.
He is a half-demon; he could have stood high in the heavens like Mu Qingyi, overlooking their struggles.
But Chu Mu did not want to remain detached. Soul Hall had already engendered feelings within him, and with feelings, it’s worth protecting!
Humans should have a stance, even if that stance is a fetter, a burden, an encumbrance. As long as there’s an emotional attachnt, one can defend it without questioning and fight for it!!!
“Qin!”
The spell began to be chanted, and amidst the intense atmosphere of the decisive battle, Chu Mu’s first thought was of the Wind-binding Spirit that had lost its Tribe of Wind.
Surely Qin shared the sa sentints as all the soul pet trainers of Snow City!
“Zing!!” In the dance of the wind, the figure of the Wind-binding Spirit slowly erged, its spiritual eyes filled with the poignant sorrow of “loss.”
And Chu Mu had healed Qin’s soul with a Tear Crystal; understanding the taste of loss, Qin would comprehend the significance of blood and tears in this decisive battle.
Its Tribe of Wind had already been lost, so now, it would fight for the Palace it needed to protect for its Master!!
(I’ve been suffering from insomnia recently, unable to sleep at night and only falling asleep when dawn breaks~ Super speechless~~~ My updates have also been delayed, and I apologize for that~~~ This chapter is a bit short; the evening chapter will be longer~~) (.)
