Chapter 1749: Chapter 1606: Totem Temple

The guards of the Totem Temple are indeed more nurous than in other parts of the Heavenly Palace. Upon truly entering the Totem Temple, Chu Mu discovered that the white walls were adorned with special paintings, within which hid chanisms and array diagrams. With just a soft recitation of a spell, this seemingly silent and serene palace would imdiately turn into a frightful killing ground of hell!

The guards of the Heavenly Palace all wore white long robes, with most of the won dressed in blue. Along the way, most of the people Chu Mu saw were Soul Controllers or Soul Immortal level, with hardly any below. This was enough to demonstrate that the overall strength of the people here was much higher than in Struggle Land and Wupan Continent.

In just one city, the Immortal Level powerhouses gave one an endless feeling.

As they walked into a section of the white jade pavilion and hall, Yu Suo deliberately moved closer to Chu Mu and reached out to hold his arm.

Usually, the only ones who would hold Chu Mu like this were Ye Qingzi and Ning Man’er. When Chu Mu saw Yu Suo suddenly make such an intimate gesture, he looked at her strangely.

With an expressionless face, Yu Suo said, “The Totem Temple doesn’t allow n without any status to enter. I’m holding you like this to let those guards and Totem Believer Won know your POSITION in the Heavenly Palace is higher than mine. This way, they won’t easily co forward to question us…”

Chu Mu nodded in understanding. So that’s why.

Yu Suo felt a little annoyed. What was that expression he had earlier? It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to describe it as terrified. It’s not like she was extrely ugly. Was it really necessary for that look?

In fact, the Good and Evil Queen frequently teased Chu Mu, sotis deliberately breathing sweetly by his ear when speaking. In the face of such temptation and intimacy, Chu Mu mostly ignored it. Frankly, the Good and Evil Queen was intentionally testing the limits of Chu Mu’s perseverance.

But Yu Suo was definitely not going to do this. Her resentnt towards Chu Mu had reached the extre. Often, she displayed an attitude that if he dared lay a hand on her, she would perish together with him.

Indeed, upon entering the Totem Temple, many Totem Believer Won and guards looked at Yu Suo and Chu Mu. They would first glance at Yu Suo and then intentionally or unintentionally scrutinize Chu Mu.

Chu Mu himself was a high-level Immortal strongman, a strength that was beyond doubt. Although so guards felt that Chu Mu seed unfamiliar, they detected the Heavenly Palace’s aura on him, so they didn’t dare to approach and inquire easily.

Thus, Chu Mu and Yu Suo smoothly entered the rear hall of the Totem Temple.

“Where are we going?” Chu Mu asked.

“To the place where I used to live,” Yu Suo replied.

Continuing forward, Chu Mu saw a unique jade-white pavilion, which was much more luxurious than the Courtyard of other Totem Believer Won, feeling like it stood out among the rest.

Apparently, this was the residence of Totem Believer Won of very high status. Whether in terms of guards or grandeur, it exuded a holy aura of Veneration.

“There’s a prohibition here as well. I don’t know if it has been changed. If it’s been changed, we won’t be able to enter,” Yu Suo said.

Chu Mu carefully observed this magnificent and noble Pavilion, discovering that the guards here were extrely powerful. He even sensed the presence of high-level Immortal powerhouses!

“This is where you used to live? Why are there such powerful people guarding it?” Chu Mu asked in surprise.

Beside the Pavilion, there was a Heavenly Guard Tower, where a gigantic white Flood Dragon was coiled around the top.

If not looking carefully, one might mistake it for a dragon-shaped sculpture atop the Heavenly Guard Tower. Chu Mu almost overlooked the existence of such a formidable white Flood Dragon.

On the unicorn head of this white Flood Dragon stood a man in white armor.

This man had shoulder-length hair. Unlike other ticulously disciplined guards, he appeared more casual, holding sothing like a wine jug in his hand, sipping from it while sitting there.

Around him were about a dozen Soul Immortal level guards, each of strong strength, and from their expressions, they showed great respect for the drinking man.

Chu Mu didn’t dare to easily use Soul Sense to probe this man’s strength. Doing so would definitely alert this powerhouse.

“Who is this person?” Chu Mu asked.

“One of the Three Great Forbidden Guard Commanders of the Heavenly Palace, Qin Ji. He should hail from the Mortal World, having so different behaviors and habits from the strict and self-disciplined mbers of the Heavenly Palace,” Yu Suo said.

“His white Flood Dragon seems even stronger than Judge Xiao’s White Dragon,” Chu Mu said.

“This is not his strongest Soul Pet,” Yu Suo said.

Chu Mu was shocked in his heart; the strength of this white Flood Dragon coiled on the Heavenly Guard Tower was already very close to the Dark King, yet it wasn’t even this person’s strongest Soul Pet??

If this guy were on the ground, wouldn’t he be a leader among leaders?

“What was your position in the Heavenly Palace before? How could you have soone so powerful guarding the place you lived?” Chu Mu asked.

“The Heavenly Palace is divided into the Totem Temple, Guardian Temple, and Roulette Temple. The highest ruler of each temple are the Totem goddess, the deity of the Guardian Temple, and the Roulette god respectively,” Yu Suo said.

“Called gods?” Chu Mu was sowhat astonished.

In retrospect, the people here in the Heavenly Palace refer to the ground as the Mortal World. Indeed, living in such a Heavenly Palace, coupled with the advantages of strength and lineage, these people are indeed far superior to humans. And the Totem Temple is of utmost importance in the Heavenly Palace, those living in the highest Pavilion of the Totem Temple indeed have the qualification to be called gods.

“You lived in this Pavilion of the Totem Temple, doesn’t that an…” Chu Mu suddenly realized the issue, looking at Yu Suo with so trepidation.

All along, Chu Mu thought Yu Suo was so fairy with a bit of Immortal Qi, always displaying a goddess-like deanor high above?

Turns out, this woman really was a goddess fallen from the Heavenly Palace, no wonder the holy aura on her was innate, and she could easily make people believe in and submit to her.

“I’m not the Totem goddess…” Yu Suo shook her head, just about to explain when she suddenly furrowed her brow slightly, her gaze fixating on a bridge of the Goddess pavilion.

The bridge directly led to the Goddess Building, where there was a Spring Pool clear like a Cold Pool. The bridge corridor was directly above the Spring Pool, and above the bridge were two people.

One of them Chu Mu had seen before, it was Young Master Yu who had appeared in the Fortress city back then.

At this mont, he was chatting with a beautiful woman in a luxurious holy blue attire beside him and walking straight into the Goddess Pavilion.

As if sensing sothing, Young Master Yu deliberately looked towards Yu Suo and Chu Mu, and both quickly hid behind the nearby white wall.

“Yu Tian, long ti no see,” from the Watcher Tower, Guard Commander of the Heavenly Palace, Qin Ji looked down at the ground and spoke to Young Master Yu.

“Took a trip to the Mortal World,” the man addressed as Yu Tian said with a smile.

“Speaking of which, I haven’t gone there for decades. What strong ones have appeared in the Mortal World?” Qin Ji asked.

“No matter how many strong ones erge, they aren’t enough for General Qin’s warm-up,” Yu Tian said.

“That’s true. No rivals in the Mortal World, and it’s boring here in the Heavenly Palace… The goddess is setting an array, do not disturb her. If you two have anything, have the Believer Won pass a ssage inside,” Qin Ji said.

“Then we’ll co back later,” Yu Tian said.

That said, he and the beautiful woman turned and left.

After Yu Tian and the woman left, Chu Mu and Yu Suo finally stepped out.

Yu Tian must have recognized Chu Mu and surely also locked onto Chu Mu’s aura. If they had been discovered earlier, escaping from this Heavenly Palace would have been really difficult, and at the very least, Qin Ji would have been hard to deal with.

“She’s setting an array, this is a rare opportunity. Follow ,” Yu Suo said.

Yu Suo led Chu Mu to a farther place, which should be a courtyard of a Totem Believer Woman.

They entered the farthest room, inside which lay a Believer Woman on her bed, wearing only a thin undergarnt.

Chu Mu was puzzled as to why Yu Suo brought him into a Believer Woman’s boudoir and allowed him to see such a scented scene.

Yu Suo flicked her finger lightly, and a wisp of floral scent floated towards the Believer Woman who was about to wake up in terror, soon causing her to fall back into a deep sleep.

Yu Suo walked to the corner, lifted the carpet, and directly began chanting a spell.

The spell matched the patterns on the jade stone ground, and after a mont of glimr, the jade stones inexplicably split open, slowly revealing an empty secret passage beneath.

“Luckily, it’s still here,” Yu Suo’s face showed a slight smile, as if recalling sothing.

Chu Mu looked at this concealed secret passage, saying, “This secret passage feels like ones used by court ladies to et secretly…”

Yu Suo, with a flash of annoyance in her eyes, said, “Just a childish heart, a secret passage used for sneaking out to play.”

Chu Mu glanced at the secret passage, and suddenly a scene flashed in his mind.

A little girl dressed in deep blue attire was tugging at her skirt, creeping out from the secret passage with a full face of adorable smiles, her eyes gleaming with mischief and excitent.

And beside her, an older woman, upon seeing her, imdiately showed a panicked expression, hurriedly shutting the window as if afraid of being discovered…

Chu Mu was montarily lost, shaking his head.

This seed to be a mory of Yu Suo sneaking into his mind.

“You used to be quite cute,” Chu Mu said, looking at the now grown-up yet cold-as-ice Yu Suo.

Yu Suo knew Chu Mu saw her mory and coldly snorted, not wanting to speak with him.

Always having Chu Mu see the things she treasures deeply, Yu Suo was very displeased.

“By the way, can you also see so of my mories?” Chu Mu suddenly rembered sothing and quickly asked.

Yu Suo, with a look of disdain, said, “I can’t.”

Not saying more to Chu Mu, Yu Suo entered the secret passage first.

Within the secret passage, there was also a prohibition, preventing the easy use of any power, or it would cause energy fluctuations. Yu Suo could only, like when she was a child, pull at her skirt and slowly crawl forward.

“Since she’s setting an array, the Divine Dew might be here,” Yu Suo said.

“So there’s no need to go to the Watcher Temple?” Chu Mu said.

“Mm, it can accomplish two things at once.” (To be continued. If you like this work, please co to Qidian (qidian) to vote for recomndation votes and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian to read it.)
