Chapter 1712: Chapter 1569: Death Grave Mound, Destroying the City

The roaring force of the lting ice and snow from the high mountains surged forth, directly breaking through the mountain ranges that stood in their way.

Boulders and seawater tumbled together, and as the Deep Sea Demon Spirit had just crawled out of the snowdrift, it was imdiately swept into the frenzied waves before its eyes.

While the Deep Sea Demon Spirit was also a water-based creature, its control over water was far inferior to Huangquan’s. When the ocean waters poured down, the shield its body had ford failed to hold for long before being utterly destroyed.

The tides roared with a destructive force, cascading down from the high mountains and relentlessly rushing toward the fortress built within the Cloud Realm.

Within the fortress were hundreds of thousands of troops, their strength nowhere near what they initially had been. Among them, many regints were below Emperor Level in power.

When the people in the fortress saw the vast ocean surging down from the mountains, it felt as if the sky itself was collapsing upon them!!

Once this ocean swept through, the fortress they had painstakingly constructed would inevitably be destroyed!

Sovereign Pan Jun’s expression darkened, and he imdiately flew toward the fortress, chanting a spell.

A massive Soul Pet pattern appeared before the fortress. From within the pattern erged a monster with the upper body of a giant, six arms, and a lower body resembling a rock beast, standing imposingly before the fortress.

This behemoth was enormous. When it stood, its head alone reached halfway up the height of the fortress. Its mighty granite body stood there like an indomitable city wall, shielding the Alliance Expeditionary Force’s fortress city.

“Giant Rock Barrier!” Sovereign Pan Jun commanded.

The half-giant, half-rock beast monster roared thunderously. The ground beneath its feet was forcibly upheaved, forming a curved rock screen that enveloped and protected the entire fortress behind it.

The torrential seawater crashed upon the giant rock barrier, sending up imnse splashes that filled the sky.

The rock screen was incredibly sturdy, managing to split apart the imnse tonnage of the water’s force as it collided against it.

The fortress stood nestled between descending mountain ranges. Though seawater poured madly from the higher mountain peaks, the rock barrier’s resistance kept the fortress from being completely swept away. The water flowed around the fortress, rolling between the mountain ridges on either side and cascading toward distant plateaus.

The surging ocean raged for a long ti, threatening to break through the protective screen of the Rock Giant Beast multiple tis. Yet, due to its command over the Rock Type, the giant beast reinforced its barrier, making it even sturdier. Ti and again, it held off the relentless waves until the ocean’s fury subsided to its end.

“Another High-Immortal-level creature has appeared,” remarked the Fox Elder.

Chu Mu understood that this sovereign would not be easy to deal with. He glanced at the Deep Sea Demon Spirit, which had been battered and left nearly paralyzed, then looked over at Wupan Sovereign, standing atop the giant beast.

“Huangquan Disaster, take down that Deep Sea Demon Spirit. Don’t be rash; with your strength, you’re more than capable of defeating it,” Chu Mu said to Huangquan Disaster.

Disaster nodded. Those words ant that Chu Mu wouldn’t direct its actions for the upcoming battle—it would need to rely on itself to face the Deep Sea Demon Spirit.

Chu Mu leapt from Huangquan Disaster’s back and began chanting a spell.

A black pattern slowly took shape in front of Chu Mu. Suddenly, a black Soul Shadow shot forth, streaking across the sky and vanishing into the distance, leaving behind deep, dark footprints in the air.

Another black Soul Shadow appeared, imnse and commanding in stature.

Under the shadow, a black Battle Tiger took its first step forward. Its four limbs landed heavily on the dark footprints left behind earlier!

The icy, jet-black armor adorning its body was sharp and nacing. Its limbs and figure radiated a jagged, deathly aura. Its cold, steady eyes were completely dark, embodying aloofness and foreboding malice.

“Zhan Ye? Could it be that Chu Mu intends to have Zhan Ye battle that High-Immortal-level Giant Beast?” Far away, Chao Lengchuan looked at Chu Mu’s summoned Soul Pet in astonishnt.

By now, all of Chu Mu’s Soul Pets possessed formidable combat power—Little Zhe Dragon, Zhan Ye, Ye, Ice-Feathered Spirit, and Dream of Oblivion. However, Zhan Ye had always been the most enigmatic in terms of actual power.

When Chu Mu summoned Zhan Ye, everyone was stunned to discover that its level had reached Interdiate Undying!

The gap between Interdiate and High-Immortal might not be as simple as it seed. Yet, Zhan Ye, known for constantly exceeding its rank to challenge stronger foes—even those two levels higher—was it incapable of battling the Giant Beast?

Under Chu Mu’s command, Zhan Ye followed the dark footprints left by the Soul Shadow, charging at full speed toward the Giant Beast.

At present, Zhan Ye’s attack might not be sufficient to break through the Rock Giant Beast’s defenses. Its attacking thod was straightforward—it relied on its Black Armor Thorn, which disregarded defenses entirely.

The Rock Giant Beast did not take Zhan Ye seriously. Its ferocious eyes were fixed squarely on Chu Mu.

All six of its arms began to move, hurling boulders larger than a mountain’s mass directly toward Chu Mu.

The sheer tonnage of these giant rocks was enough to crush through an entire city from one end to the other. But Chu Mu did not choose to directly counter this overwhelming force.

The colossal boulders ca flying in quick succession, as Chu Mu’s figure flickered in and out of visibility.

Whenever a massive boulder hurtled past him, his form would ghostly rge with the air, turning into ethereal nothingness. After the boulder had passed, his body would reappear again.

The terrifying boulders demolished the towering barriers of the Heavenly Mountain Range behind him, as though they vanished into thin air amidst the thunderous crashes.

Chu Mu’s body, cloaked in black and white fla, still floated steadily toward the fortress.

Though his figure was not as massive as the Giant Beast’s, when his arrogantly composed form hovered above the fortress, proudly looking down upon its inhabitants, everyone felt an overwhelming scorn devoid of any human emotion!

Chu Mu raised his black left hand and began chanting a spell.

**Funeral Mound of Oblivion!**

Above the fortress city, an imnse, dreadful black vortex appeared.

From the swirling void descended a colossal black, fla-wreathed burial mound.

This Death Burial Mound was distinct from a re Evil Tomb—it was not ant for restraining enemies but rather the purest form of annihilation, designed to obliterate the very foundation of the opposing fortress!!

“BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

The first black, fla-covered burial mound descended, directly striking the fortress city’s center, where an unknown Monarch-Level regint was stationed.

Before the burial mound even touched the ground, waves of black flas swept through the city streets. When the Death Burial Mound finally landed, the entire district and the accumulated regints were reduced to nothingness under everyone’s horrified gaze!!

The wave of black flas expanded outward from the giant funeral mound at its center, and the fortress city was engulfed in the screams of the dying!

So quick-reacting Soul Pet Masters used their Soul Pets to flee beyond the burial mound’s destructive range.

But just as they ran through the city, a massive shadow lood over their heads.

The shadow swallowed all light, casting a black fire glow down below.

The shadow and flas grew greater, and from a distance, it resembled a cluster of ants scrambling hopelessly beneath a slowly descending, gigantic foot. No matter how much they struggled, at such a lethargic pace, escape from this Death Shadow would prove impossible.

“BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Another apocalyptic explosion followed, bringing yet another horrific disaster upon the fortress city. Countless more regints were engulfed.

Monarchs, Emperors, even Dominators—none of the living caught within the Death Burial Mounds’ range survived!!

The fortress city was vast, capable of sheltering hundreds of thousands.

Its streets crisscrossed in dense networks, and its buildings stood tall like a forest. Even so, the two Death Burial Mounds obliterated entire districts within their respective ranges.

Yet, when the city’s inhabitants looked up and saw the ominous black vortex in the sky, witnessing the burial mounds descending from above, they forgot how to think in the face of terror.

All they could do was pray. Pray that the Death Burial Mounds wouldn’t materialize over their own heads.

“Defend—quick, command your Soul Pets to unite and form defensive arrays!!” Han Sect Leader of the Divine Sect shouted through a ntal Sound, his voice echoing desperately across the fortress city.

From a high vantage point, the sight of the city sprawling along the mountainside revealed dozens of districts under the devastating sweep of the Death Burial Mounds. Ruthless black flas relentlessly turned everything within the fortress city into a wasteland.

At tis, groups of thousands worked together to erect colorized elental shields above their regints.

Yet when a Death Burial Mound fell, no matter the attribute of their elental defenses, they proved pitifully fragile—thousands were reduced to re ashes in an instant!

On the Heavenly Mountains, the New Moon Legion stationed there gazed across the ruined terrain of the range, staring off into the enemies’ city in the distance.

Every tremor caused by the Death Burial Mounds’ impact could be felt even on their side, and the anguished wails from the city ca through as well.

An entire city—housing tens of thousands of troops.

That should have been an overwhelming force, enough to crush any thoughts of opposition.

But sohow, this army now seed insignificantly small. Beneath the Death Burial Mounds, they were nothing more than droves of pitiful, expendable livestock being wiped out en masse, scorched to ash by black flas.

It was difficult to comprehend how their king—their unrivaled, blood-soaked ruler—could inflict such catastrophic destruction upon an entire fortress and its army singlehandedly.

The New Moon Land had long been at the rcy of invasion. Everyone had witnessed firsthand their cities turned to ruins and slaughterhouses.

Now, as they saw their enemy’s fortress reduced to such devastation, none harbored even a shred of pity. All they felt was the frenzy of vengeance.

With such a powerful and relentless king leading them, why would they ever consider stopping the war??

The ti had co to strike back at the heart of the enemy’s lair!
