Chapter 1363: Chapter 1226: Ancient Creature, Jiao People! Chapter 1363: Chapter 1226: Ancient Creature, Jiao People! Chu Mu rembered that when he entered the Ice Palace with Mu Qingyi, the cavern seed incredibly long, filling Chu Mu’s mind with all sorts of strange thoughts.
Now, Chu Mu was much stronger than before, and the ntal impacts did not affect him as much. Moreover, he moved very fast, not at all as sluggish as before.
In any case, after walking for what felt like an eternity, Chu Mu gradually began to feel elental fluctuations in the air ahead.
Unfortunately, despite the fluctuations, Chu Mu saw nothing he desired.
Continuing forward, the elental aura around them grew denser. If creatures of the Ice Elent and Wind Elent lived here, they might reach the Peak Emperor Level very easily without even needing Spirit Items.
By now, Chu Mu had lost all sense of ti, riding Mo Ye and sprinting along the path. Gradually, he felt waves of bone-chilling cold and fierce winds.
The cavern finally ca to an end, and Chu Mu could see a vast expanse of darkness ahead.
Wind, Ice, and Dark, a rich blend of these three elental auras intertwined around him. Standing at the edge of the cavern, Chu Mu stared into this suddenly open “World,” beholding the thick mists of the unknown before him.
In that unseen darkness, was there sothing breathing, sothing frightful hidden.
A sense of fear erged, causing Chu Mu to hesitate before flying directly into the darkness where nothing could be seen.
“Mo Ye, light this place up,” Chu Mu said to Mo Ye.
Mo Ye opened his mouth and spewed out bunches of purple flas.
The purple flas quickly flew out, hovering in various positions, their purple glow gradually piercing through the darkness.
Even so, as the purple light from Mo Ye illuminated a large area, Chu Mu still saw nothing. As the purple light reached deeper in, it was slowly swallowed up by the darkness.
“Mo Ye, release it toward that direction,” Chu Mu pointed and said.
Mo Ye nodded and spat out more purple flas towards the direction Chu Mu had indicated.
The purple flas flew out, and the light illuminated a large area it passed through, the purple glow shrinking as it moved deeper into the darkness…
Suddenly, at the edge of the light, a distinctive eave appeared amid the darkness!
The light moved on, slowly vanishing into the darkness, and the distinctive eave also disappeared into it.
“Yes, that’s the place!” Chu Mu locked onto that location, directing Mo Ye to continue releasing the light.
This ti, a dozen purple fireballs flew out, illuminating that area with bright purple light.
Within the purple flas, a sharply defined Wind Palace made a conspicuous appearance!
This Wind Palace had protruding eaves, and each eave was adorned with a greenish-bronze bell, which was rattling in the wind but strangely made no sound.
The entire Wind Palace, floating in the darkness, wasn’t very large, but its unique appearance in this unknown space was beyond ordinary.
“Master Li, what do you think that could be?” Chu Mu asked.
A hundred ters inside the cavern was an Ice Palace, which both Chu Mu and Mu Qingyi had explored. It appeared that at that ti Qin and the Misty Immortal Bird had received so mysterious heritage. Now, this second Wind Palace appeared even more bizarre and unique. Could there be so secrets hidden here?
“It might be an ancient relic from the Three Great Palaces. Perhaps it is connected to the appearance of the Three Great Palaces. Let’s just go in and see,” the Fox Elder said.
Chu Mu nodded and, along with the Little Hiding Dragon, Qin, and Mo Ye, flew towards that Wind Palace.
There was a door to the Wind Palace, and as Chu Mu landed on the high steps, he finally heard the noise of the bronze bells clanging chaotically.
Chu Mu followed the stairs into the Wind Palace and discovered that it seed to possess special prohibitions that blocked the darkness, wild wind, and icy cold from invading. At least, Chu Mu felt a warm sensation as he stepped inside the Wind Palace.
The columns and walls of the Wind Palace were adorned with ancient carvings, which, needless to say, Chu Mu completely failed to understand. If he had brought the Little Princess with him, perhaps she could have provided so explanations.
Several odd-shaped statues were placed in the main hall of the Wind Palace, arranged without any apparent order as if they were put there temporarily.
“Young Master, look at this statue,” the Fox Elder suddenly pointed out one of the statues and spoke.
Chu Mu examined it carefully but found nothing special about the statue.
“Young Master, how could you not recognize this? This fellow is a Dark Elent Overlord, once called the strongest among the Dark Attribute races,” the Fox Elder explained.
“The strongest Dark Attribute race isn’t the Dark Demon Ancestor?” Chu Mu said.
Chu Mu had seen the Dark Demon Ancestor in books at the Cloud Realm library. It was said that there was only one person in the world who possessed the Dark Demon Ancestor, whose strongest skill could plunge a quarter of the world into eternal darkness!
Chu Mu had realized by now that this world was enormously vast. Even if Mu Qingyi’s Emperor Si Ye reached the Low-grade Master level, it could only plunge the New Moon Land into darkness for roughly two days. A creature that could subrge a quarter of the world in darkness was practically a god of darkness!
“The Dark Demon Ancestor is the strongest of the dark creatures, a relatively new race. Its lineage is a mix of Dark King Shang and the blood of Queen Si Ye. The sculpture you see in front of you, that is the once strongest dark creature — Dark King Shang!” Master Li said very seriously and earnestly.
“That’s not very surprising, just a sculpture,” Chu Mu said dismissively.
Master Li extended a “finger” and waggled it, “Young Master, look at the base of these sculptures. Aren’t there sealing array patterns there?”
Chu Mu imdiately looked down and indeed, each sculpture had a pattern beneath it. If these really were sealing patterns, then the sculpture in front of him was a living Dark King Shang, sealed in life!
“Young Master… Young Master, co look at this!” Suddenly, Master Li called out again.
Chu Mu hadn’t recovered from his astonishnt when he was summoned by Master Li to another side.
This ti, what Master Li pointed at was another sculpture which looked sowhat familiar to Chu Mu, yet he couldn’t recall its na.
“Stop thinking about it, Young Master. You’ve definitely never seen this creature. At most, you might have seen so of its direct descendants, but actually, its lineage is weakening… do you know why its offspring’s bloodline is weakening, Young Master?” Master Li said.
Of course, Chu Mu wouldn’t know. He wasn’t in charge of natural reproduction or natural laws, nor was he a scholar of ancient species.
Master Li, with a very solemn look, said, “Because its strength has already reached the peak!”
“What is this?” Chu Mu asked.
“It’s the Wide Ice Immortal! Creatures like the King of Ice Demise and Ice Pupil Kirin, which we regard as having very high Species Rankings, are actually its weakened descendants. It’s fair to say this Wide Ice Immortal is very close to the five legendary immortal beings,” Master Li explained.
Chu Mu was stunned, wondering why such high-level creatures were sealed here.
“Young Master, co see, this here is…”
Chu Mu didn’t have ti to ponder as Master Li dragged him to another side.
This ti, the sculpture Master Li pointed at was one Chu Mu had seen before, another creature of the Wind Elent whose Species Ranking had reached an extre.
The highest Species Ranking for Wind creatures Chu Mu had ever seen was Xiong Shou’s Dominating Wind Kirin, which was practically at the Peak Emperor level. However, in the books of Cloud Realm, Chu Mu saw Wind creatures rated several levels above the Dominating Wind Kirin, like the sculpture before him — Wind Wedge.
The Wind Wedge looked sowhat similar to the Wind-binding Spirit, but it seed like a larger version. Encircled by whirlwinds, they sported a pair of lively eyes and were always in a hovering state, including when the Wind Wedge was sealed.
“Master Li, have I entered an ancient creatures museum?” Chu Mu surveyed the hall and found to his surprise that it was filled entirely with creatures of Species Rankings that reached the Master level, each once standing at the pinnacle of their respective attributes at so point in ti!
Clearly a scholarly figure, Master Li hurriedly moved between the sculptures, excitedly calling out the nas of each creature.
“Young Master, Young Master! A major discovery!!” Suddenly, Master Li shouted again.
Just as Chu Mu had thought of sothing, his train of thought was interrupted by that fellow, Master Li.
With no other choice, Chu Mu walked over to where Master Li was.
This ti, Master Li did not linger around the sculptures in the main hall but ran up to the highest seat in the hall.
Chu Mu hadn’t noticed there was a throne there, as it had been obscured by the sculptures.
The throne was wide and did not quite resemble sothing humans would use. A long figure appeared to be lying upon it.
The upper body of the creature looked sowhat human, and it was hard to distinguish whether it was male or female, but overall, it seed like an enchantingly attractive man lying on his side.
Its eyes were half-closed, as if it were sleeping, its expression peaceful with a hint of playfulness—that playfulness bearing a semblance to human charm.
The sculpture was lifelike; Chu Mu felt that at any mont it could open its eyes.
Of course, the most unusual aspect was its lower body, which wasn’t the usual human legs but a long body resembling a dragon, a snake, or a fish. Initially, Chu Mu thought its body was just wide enough to fit the seat but didn’t realize that a large part of its elongated body continued behind the throne, probably three or four tis longer than its human-like upper body.
“Why does it look like a Jiaoren? Could it be the legendary Petrified Jiaoren?” Chu Mu spoke up.
Tales about the Jiaoren were abundant, and in fact, based on Master Li’s half-human and half-pet theory, the Jiaoren might not just be legend but could exist. Considering Chu Mu’s own half-demon nature and the ergence of the Yu Suo Flower Girl, how could the Jiaoren not exist?
