Granny ng and Elder ng
“If Elder ng isn’t around, I’ll send you on your way myself!” Mu Yu brayed, assuming Gui Huanyin was guarding the exit, aning he had a chance to fight Granny ng one on one.
Mu Yu cast Contiguous Horizon Formation on himself and then charged. Granny ng defended herself with her hairpin again, their battle taking out the skeletons.
“I thought you wanted to see my husband. What’s the rush?”
“I’d prefer to kill you.”
Granny ng summoned a crimson snake from the red soup, warding off the repaired skeletons to vacate the area. The snake hamred the ground, splitting it. Granny ng cackled as a red casket rose from underground, sardonically saying, “Long-ti no see, Dear. I’ve missed you.”
The lid on the casket turned into a puddle of red liquid, while the zombified Elder ng wearing a black straw hat revealed his amputated legs. “Old wench, I’ll make you pay for this!”
“Don’t you miss the old days? Kekeke.”
“Your viciousness knows no bounds, does it?” fud Mu Yu, feeling sorry for Elder ng even though he was not a fan of Life and Death Sect.
“Dear, I was convinced you couldn’t escape from here, but I was then told Mu Yu could rescue you. I’ve been curious about how you managed to strike up an unlikely friendship with True God’s disciple.”
“True God’s disciple? I don’t recognise that old man over there, but you better pray to whoever it is you pray to that I don’t get my hands on you.”
“Tsk, tsk, how will you do that with no limbs and your soul that I’ve extracted?” Granny ng zipped over and strangled Elder ng. “Your throat is now in my hand. What are you going to do?”
Granny ng ruthlessly tore Elder ng’s head off his shoulders, giving even Mu Yu an itchy sensation by his neck. Though it did not kill Elder ng, his scowl showed just how much it hurt.
“I can recover even if you shatter to smithereens as long as I’m here, you wench!”
The only reason Elder ng’s limbs did not regrow despite being connected to the active formation in there was due to a special thod of amputation that Granny ng employed – turning his arms into her walking stick.
“I didn’t intend to kill you. I rely want to know what you are to Mu Yu?” Granny ng wrapped Elder ng’s open wounds in blood and then sealed him back in his casket.
“Pfft, what sort of curiosity is that?” Mu Yu ribbed.
“Gui Yuzi claid you’d help him escape, but I don’t buy it. I’d like to see you help him escape,” Granny ng threatened while clutching Elder ng’s skull.
“You’re going to help escape this place?” Elder ng questioned.
“That’ll depend on my mood.”
Mu Yu chopped apart a skeleton in his way, then swung at Granny ng. In response, she called forth ghouls from her hairpin. Unlike other ghouls he had encountered before, Granny ng’s ghouls knew how to evade and work their way closer. Nonetheless, Mu Yu’s formation pushed them back once they were in range. The troubling part was that Granny ng’s nonchalant reaction insinuated they could handle an Ascension Realm opponent.
“Do you know why I’m guarding this place?”
Mu Yu activated Primordial Yin Yang underfoot, casting it to his sword afterwards for a boost.
Irate with Mu Yu’s attitude, Granny ng answered her own question. “Because most of the twins here drank my soup before they died.”
Granny ng brought out a bowl, which was made out of bones, of red soup and spurt the soup onto the twins. Though the bowl was not large, the soup was seemingly infinite. Each of the skeletons the soup stained would grow a pair of red eyes.
“Hehehe, even the current patriarch once drank my Emotion Severing Soup.” Granny ng licked her dry lips.
Mu Yu vigilantly monitored the six skeletons that besieged him in the blink of an eye. “Six Ascension Realm twins…”
