Wang Zhipeng’s body stiffened upon hearing this voice.

Chen Fan frowned and shot Wang Zhipeng a puzzled look.

Wang Zhipeng forced a smile and said, "I get along well with the colleagues in the dical hall; we like to joke around like this. They probably have so problem they can’t solve. Wait here for , I’ll go take care of it."

After standing up, he added, "There’s no helping it, being in a key position ans there’s always an endless amount of work."

He then hurried towards the dical hall.

Chen Fan felt sothing was off and, after pondering for a mont, got up and followed.

Arriving at Tongren dical Hall, Chen Fan hid in the shadows to observe. He saw that upon Wang Zhipeng’s return, he explained sothing to a person who looked like a physician, hoping to buy so ti, but the physician did not grant it and instead directed Wang Zhipeng to mop the floor.

Wang Zhipeng’s face was a mask of resignation, but he dared not go against the person’s wishes and began to mop with a rag.

After that, Chen Fan watched as Wang Zhipeng was ordered about by the physicians in the hall, busy and flustered, and even so apprentices assigned the direr and tiring work to him.

Chen Fan couldn’t bear to see him being bullied like this.

Just then, after Wang Zhipeng finished disposing of the dicine dregs for a physician, he turned around only to see Chen Fan watching him, and he froze.

Sha quickly clouded his face, but he still smiled at Chen Fan and gestured that he had to get back to work first.

"Zhipeng, after all, holds a Ph.D. in traditional Chinese dicine. He should be treated as an important figure wherever he goes, so why is he living in such a sorry state?" Chen Fan was full of doubt.

Before he could inquire further, several people rushed in carrying a stretcher urgently.

A middle-aged man lay on the stretcher, pale-faced and writhing in pain.

"Doctor, please save my father!"

The young physician who had earlier made Wang Zhipeng mop the floor rushed over, knelt down to examine the middle-aged man’s condition, and asked, "What happened to him?"

The middle-aged man’s son answered, "I don’t know; this happened after eating."

"Food poisoning?" After examining the man’s body, the young physician looked around, his eyes settling on Wang Zhipeng not far away, "Wang Zhipeng, aren’t you skilled in acupuncture? Co and treat this patient."

Wang Zhipeng did not dare delay and quickly ca over with his Acupuncture Bag.

Chen Fan walked over upon seeing this.

He took one glance at the middle-aged man and realized he was in great pain, but there were no issues with his body whatsoever.

Moreover, the man’s breath was deep and powerful; if he guessed correctly, the man should be a martial artist.

A suspicion arose in his mind, and he turned his gaze towards the young physician.

He saw the young physician wearing a cold smile that was not well-intentioned.

This person, nad Wang Tao, had been ordering Wang Zhipeng around the most, abusing and scolding him, with a very arrogant attitude.

Chen Fan didn’t speak but watched, wanting to see what these people were up to.

Wang Zhipeng asked the middle-aged man a few questions, pressed on his stomach, then took out silver needles and began the acupuncture treatnt.

At first, the middle-aged man praised Wang Zhipeng’s skills, claiming he felt better after just a few needles.

But soon after, he began convulsing, his eyes turned white, and then he stiffened, no longer moving.

Wang Zhipeng was dumbfounded; he had perford acupuncture many tis before but had never encountered such a situation.

The middle-aged man’s son imdiately threw himself onto his father, weeping loudly, "Dad, what’s wrong with you? Wake up! You can’t just leave us like this!"

All the people in the hall gathered around.

Many passersby also ca to gawk at the commotion.

Wang Tao rebuked Wang Zhipeng angrily, "Wang Zhipeng, what did you do to the patient? You’ve killed him!"

The middle-aged man’s son kicked Wang Zhipeng, yelling, "You quack, give back my father’s life!"

Wang Zhipeng’s face was blank with shock. "No... It shouldn’t be. He just had food poisoning. How could he suddenly die?"

Just then, a young couple squeezed out from the crowd.

The man was dressed in luxury brands, wearing a designer watch, sporting earrings, exuding a prodigal air, while the woman was flamboyantly dressed, with a sexy figure, and revealing clothing.

Chen Fan looked toward the two and realized that the woman was Wang Zhipeng’s girlfriend, Feng Tingting!

"Who is that man, and why is she being embraced by soone else?" Chen Fan thought to himself.

The man sneered at Wang Zhipeng, "Ladies and gentlen, I am Xu Kun from the First Traditional Chinese dicine Hospital. I never imagined that Tongren dical Hall would let an apprentice treat people and even cause soone’s death. I will report this to the Traditional Chinese dicine Association and imdiately have Tongren dical Hall shut down. If you don’t want to die from treatnt, you’re better off not seeking dical attention here."

A group of patients, faces filled with fear, hastily threw away their dicines.

Wang Zhipeng looked up at Xu Kun, seemingly understanding sothing, and said with a face full of rage, "Xu Kun, did you arrange this deliberately?"

Feng Tingting, nestled in Xu Kun’s arms, looked down on him with disdain. "Wang Zhipeng, you kill soone with your treatnt and now you’re slandering my boyfriend? Do you believe we will sue you for defamation?"

Chen Fan, observing Feng Tingting’s attitude, frowned slightly. "I didn’t expect her to have changed so much."

At this mont, the master of the dical hall, Zhou Tongren, hurried over.

"Master, this is the patient, please see if he can still be saved!" an anxious doctor said.

Zhou Tongren quickly leaned over to check the middle-aged man’s condition.

Afterward, he turned pale and said, "He... has no pulse."

The middle-aged man’s son cried even harder. "Return my father’s life to ! You quacks, why did you let an apprentice treat my father!"

Wang Tao stepped forward. "Master, I was the one treating this patient, but Wang Zhipeng insisted on taking over. I couldn’t stop him, and who would have thought he’d end up killing the man? I’m starting to wonder if he did it on purpose!"

Zhou Tongren looked at Wang Zhipeng, his hands trembling, "Wang Zhipeng, I took you in out of good faith. Why would you do this to !"

Wang Zhipeng hurriedly shook his head. "Master, it’s not like he said. It was clearly him who made ..."

"Enough! Don’t try to justify yourself!" Zhou Tongren shouted, "From now on, you are no longer an apprentice at my Tongren dical Hall. You are responsible for this matter. You figure out how to resolve it."

Xu Kun scoffed, "Master Zhou, the person died in your dical hall. You can’t just wash your hands of this matter."

"I’ve already notified the Traditional Chinese dicine Association. They will be here soon to close down your dical hall. Your mistake was taking in a waste like Wang Zhipeng!"

Zhou Tongren felt a darkness before his eyes and nearly fainted.

His eyes were glued to Xu Kun and, after a long ti, all he could do was sigh deeply.

He knew Xu Kun was targeting Wang Zhipeng and Tongren dical Hall, but with Xu Kun’s influential power, he was powerless to retaliate.

Xu Kun then turned to Wang Zhipeng with a mocking tone, "Such a quack, recklessly treating people. Even if he were beaten to death, it wouldn’t be a pity."

Feng Tingting chid in, "Exactly. Quacks harm people and should be eradicated by soone on behalf of the public."

The middle-aged man’s son imdiately walked toward Wang Zhipeng with a burst of anger, "You damn thing! I’ll kill you today to avenge my father!"

Chen Fan, having witnessed everything, had already understood what was going on.

He revealed a cold smile and stopped the middle-aged man’s son.

"Your dad isn’t dead yet. I have a way to save him."

Everyone was stunned.

The middle-aged man’s son suddenly panicked and quickly glanced at Xu Kun.

Xu Kun, too, was taken aback and gave the son a look.

The son took the hint, turned to Chen Fan, and said, "Zhou Tongren has already confird that my dad has no pulse. Where do you get the confidence to save him?"

Chen Fan looked at him with a smile, "I haven’t even tried to save him yet. How do you know I can’t bring him back?"

"Or is it that you actually don’t want your father to co back to life?"
