"It’s really it!"

Ji Xinghuo felt sowhat amazed. He had long since given up looking for it, focusing only on harvesting Spiritual Origin Ability and even deliberately avoiding other Hunting Teams’ search areas.

But the more he didn’t want it, it ca to him on its own.

At this mont, the Earth Devouring Worm was motionless underground, seemingly resting, unaware of Ji Xinghuo lurking in the shadows.

His vision was clear in black and white, peering through more than four thousand ters of soil, carefully observing the massive Earth Devouring Worm. It was much larger than any he had ever seen before, over forty ters in length and more than three ters in diater!

Apart from being several tis larger, the most significant difference from a normal Earth Devouring Worm was its shell, a thick Crystal Armor encasing it, looking as if carved out of crystal, incredibly hard at first glance.

This matched the descriptions provided by the Mutants who had encountered it.

"Crystal Armor!"

A Transcendent Ability, its effect was to transform the outer skin into a silicon-type Crystal Armor, effectively blocking physical attacks.

Ji Xinghuo confird it was indeed that creature.

On the network of Black Ring Star, so had summarized several encounters with it, speculating that this Earthquake-Level Earth Devouring Worm possessed at least one Star Fall Ability, that is, "Gravity Field," and likely had a second Star Fall Ability.

This Ability was related to the earth, allowing it to burrow deeper and move faster underground.

So speculated it might be the "Master of the Earth’s Crust"!

This was much more powerful and valuable than Gravity Field. As its na suggested, the Master of the Earth’s Crust could move freely within the planet’s crust, also possessing abilities like Earth Pulse, Earth Tunneling, Earthquake, and more to manipulate the geology.

If it encountered danger or a powerful enemy, it could simply drill deep into the crust, posing a tricky challenge even for a Shepherd Star Saint.

So this Earthquake-Level Earth Devouring Worm always managed to escape pursuit.

Ji Xinghuo made no rash moves.

He estimated the Earth Devouring Worm to be over four thousand ters underground; if it didn’t co up, even knowing its location was of no avail.

"Lure it out?"

Having spent so long in the Silent Wilderness, Ji Xinghuo had already killed over ten thousand Earth Devouring Worms and was very familiar with these creatures.

He had encountered three Catastrophe-Level Earth Devouring Worms before. The stronger they were, the more cautious they behaved, never easily taking the bait.

This Earthquake-Level Earth Devouring Worm, therefore, was certainly smarter and harder to lure out.

While Ji Xinghuo was still pondering what to do, the Earth Devouring Worm suddenly moved, swiftly traveling through the crust.

He hurried through the shadows, keeping up.

"It’s so fast!"

After only following for a short ti, Ji Xinghuo was quite astounded.

The Earth Devouring Worm’s underground speed certainly couldn’t match his Flying, but every movent of its body allowed it to advance dozens of ters through the high-temperature, high-pressure crust, averaging over a hundred ters per second.

Fortunately, it hadn’t noticed it was being tracked, andering aimlessly underground.

Sotis ascending, sotis diving.

Ji Xinghuo locked onto the Earth Devouring Worm at all tis by relying on Electromagnetic Induction and the Supre Dark Magic Ball.

When it dove down past ten kiloters, the sensing beca fuzzy, but it seed it couldn’t withstand the crust’s increasingly high temperature and pressure for long, mostly staying above five thousand ters deep.

After tracking for hundreds of kiloters, the Earth Devouring Worm finally stopped and then floated to within one thousand ters of the surface, lurking motionlessly.

"Another Flood-Level Earth Devouring Worm!"

Ji Xinghuo imdiately understood its intent—it was hunting another Earth Devouring Worm.

He realized, "No wonder there are so many Earth Devouring Worms in the vast Silent Wilderness, but so few have evolved to Catastrophe-Level."

The Flood-Level Earth Devouring Worm had not realized it was being targeted, and it, in turn, had its eyes on prey.

That was a group of Mo Yunling.

Very few species could survive on the Silent Wilderness, and Mo Yunling was one of them, with an even larger population than the Earth Devouring Worms. They were also extrely sensitive to ground vibrations, leaping high and running swiftly at the slightest rustle.

It was their talent for rapid reaction and escape that allowed Mo Yunling to survive amidst the Earth Devouring Worm threat.

Still, they were at the bottom of the food chain, a primary prey of the Earth Devouring Worms.

This group of Mo Yunling numbered in the dozens.

They were spread out over several hundred ters, maintaining a distance from each other, half nibbling on leaves, looking around vigilantly now and then, while the other half were continuously on the lookout, listening for movents beneath the ground.

Underground, the Flood-Level Earth Devouring Worm slowly floated upward, approaching the center of the Mo Yunling herd.

And deeper still, the Earthquake-Level Earth Devouring Worm was closing in.

The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind.

Seeing this scene from the shadows, Ji Xinghuo couldn’t help but smile; he was the ultimate oriole.

He looked up.

It was dayti, and there were several Hunting Teams within a hundred kiloters, so if he made a move, it had to be swift and decisive.

This recently evolved Flood-Level Shock Devouring Worm was approximately twelve ters long, and it was very cautious. As it approached the Mo Yunling, it patiently made several detours to avoid the direction where the lookout Mo Yunling were.

Ji Xinghuo moved instantaneously while invisible.

After several silent movents, he arrived above the Mo Yunling herd, about a hundred ters from the ground.

The Electric Potential Battle Blade in his hand, his pupils completely blackened, his presence veiled and suppressed.

Finally.

The Flood-Level Earth Devouring Worm surfaced, just a few ters below the feet of the Mo Yunling. It suddenly triggered a Gravity Mutation and within a radius of several hundred ters, the gravity increased by more than twenty tis. The Mo Yunling jumped up in alarm, reaching only a height of about a dozen ters before falling back down, unable to escape the range of the Gravity Mutation.
