The blood and flas of the madman burst into the air like a firework with a diater of dozens of ters. Ji Xinghuo flew through the middle of the firework, with the fla flow and shockwave hitting his body, all deflected by the Flow Barrier.
In the sky over four hundred ters away, the Windwalker cried out a na, his face a mix of sorrow and pain.
In the blink of an eye, all the clan mbers who had fought and died with him were gone, leaving him alone.
The Windwalker shot an arrow but did not look to see the outco.
He turned and fled.
Ji Xinghuo used Flash Step to avoid the arrow, and just as he was about to shoot back, he raised his Battle Bow only to have a large group of black beetles swarm towards him.
Those beetles were carefully cultivated by the Insect Emperor.
They were only the size of a thumb, jet black, covered with a shell harder than alloy, resembling tallic broad beans, impervious to physical strikes and high temperatures, with fast and agile flying speed.
But what was most fearso were their grizzly mouthparts, which could bite through anything.
Earlier, Ren Mian’s Poison Stinger Flying Dragon had been overwheld by them, and in just monts, they had gnawed through its Scale Armor and burrowed inside, biting it to death.
The beetles that survived the ionization storm were even more terrifying.
Ji Xinghuo dared not let them bite him.
His fingertips sparked with lightning, which instantly split into countless arcs, spreading outward. Not a single beetle could evade, and they were instantly scattered by the "Pulse Arc", their flying speed drastically reduced, and although not dead, they dropped down, staggering as if drunk.
Boom!
Seizing the beetles’ mont of disorientation, Ji Xinghuo threw a sphere of lightning. Due to the rush, it only concentrated about 300 points of Star Power.
The lightning exploded amongst the swarm, destroying so of the beetles.
"So hard to kill!"
Ji Xinghuo saw that there were still a large number of beetles left; even if he threw a few more spherical lightning, he wouldn’t be able to wipe them out.
The beetles resud their pursuit after the explosion and charged at him again.
They divided into several groups, encircling him from all directions, both dispersed and relatively concentrated, forming an attack formation among themselves.
Ji Xinghuo didn’t want to entangle with them; he flew backward at high speed, maintaining his distance from the beetles while controlling the Spirit Sword Bracelet.
Four beams of sword light sliced into the swarm from the side.
Ding ding dang dang...
With a clang of colliding tal, sparks flew as the sword light slaughtered so beetles, but compared to their numbers, it was too slow.
In the blink of an eye, Ji Xinghuo flew out several kiloters, with the beetle cloud chasing relentlessly.
Suddenly, he looped around at full Acceleration, flying back and shaking off the beetle cloud. The Spirit Sword Bracelet also gave up on slaughtering and returned to his side.
The beetles were fast, but not as fast as Ji Xinghuo.
That might’ve been their only weakness.
Ji Xinghuo flew at full speed towards Ren Mian. When he was about a kiloter away from her, a sudden scream ca from underground, followed by the ground bulging as a hundred-ter area around it burst open.
A robust figure shot out.
It was Qi Feng!
This Lord of Nature bore several deep, bone-exposing wounds, as if mauled by a beast’s swipe; the most severe nearly eviscerated him.
Despite possessing the power of Earth Pulse, which was rapidly healing the wounds, his appearance was disheveled as he burst from the ground and ran wildly.
Qing Hong was in hot pursuit, transford into an imnse creature over twenty ters long, its claws swinging the Sky-splitting Blade.
It lunged forward and slashed with its claws.
"Get lost!"
Qi Feng suddenly wheeled around, stomped with his right foot, causing the ground to shake violently, and a tall, thick wall of stone arose in front of him.
At the sa ti, countless vines burst from the ground, entangling Qing Hong.
Mixed among those were nurous Earth Spurs.
Qing Hong crashed into the stone wall, unable to break through, its abdon struck by Earth Spurs, its body also entangled by countless vines.
Qi Feng took the opportunity to break free, scattering a handful of seeds which rapidly grew into a thick forest around him.
Suddenly, he sensed great danger.
From the sky!
Without hesitation, Qi Feng roared, his body swelling into a giant over five ters tall, skin ashen as stone, flesh turned harder than steel, with branches and leaves sprouting Armor all over his body, and the stick in his hand growing large, transforming into a thick stone staff.
He raised the stone staff towards the sky.
Boom!
A bolt of lightning struck Qi Feng, but he stood immovable, like a hill.
The mont the lightning struck, Ji Xinghuo dove down right behind it, his right hand clenched into a fist, with currents of electricity sparking on his arm.
Electric Light Spiral Force!
Boom...
The ground caved in, dust billowed.
The lower half of the stone giant was smashed into the ground, but his upper body still stood tall, his hands gripping the stone staff, resisting Ji Xinghuo’s assault.
With a few cracking sounds, fissures appeared in Qi Feng’s rocky body, which then quickly healed.
"Earth Pulse combined with the Plant Witch’s Recovery thods."
Ji Xinghuo showed no surprise.
The power of the Lord of Nature wasn’t much different from that of the madman, but his Defense and Recovery Power left the madman several streets behind.
Vines and Earth Spurs attacked from all around, and Ji Xinghuo used Instant Step to ascend to the sky, flying up once again.
No sooner had he left than Qing Hong arrived.
Thud!
Qi Feng was fiercely pinned to the ground, the stone staff knocked from his grip as Qing Hong’s Sky-splitting Claws rapidly waved, inflicting wound after wound on him, stone flying everywhere, mixed with fragnts of vines and Earth Spurs, splashing all around, yet not a drop of blood was shed.
Ignoring the injuries on his body, he swung the stone staff at Qing Hong’s head, only to find his movents had slowed.
His body was as heavy as a mountain, every movent requiring much more effort.
Qing Hong had activated the Gravity Field!
Qi Feng was pressed down, unable to move.
He tried to control the surrounding plant’s Earth Spurs to attack Qing Hong but found it far more difficult, and four beams of sword light quickly sliced through, cutting off the vines and Earth Spurs.
