"Retreat!"
A bellow resonated across the battlefield, coming from Guloke, the chieftain of the Blood Fury Tribe.
With a giant axe in hand, he charged toward the Mountain Shifting Beast, shouting orders at the top of his lungs, "Everyone, pull back to the camp on the opposite side of the river bank, regroup, Baqisong, you’re in charge of this. Duo Tai, Wu SenTa, you two co with to stop this Mountain Shifting Beast!"
The three who were called out, the first was Guloke’s absolute confidant, a Legendary Level Blood Warrior.
The latter two were Blood Generals.
Six against four, they had already slain a Sixth Rank powerhouse of the Biao Clan, and only then were these two able to assist Guloke in attacking the Mountain Shifting Beast.
It must be said that Guloke’s orders were very tily.
Together, the three Blood Generals might not be able to kill the Mountain Shifting Beast in a short ti, but as long as they could delay it and create ti for the troops to retreat, that would be enough.
Ji Xinghuo looked back.
He saw that in just a few breaths, Guloke had shot from a gap in the city walls to behind the Mountain Shifting Beast, leaping high and bringing down his giant axe on its back.
In comparison to the colossal size of the Mountain Shifting Beast, the over two-ter-tall Guloke seed very insignificant.
However, his axe struck imdiately causing damage.
"Aow..."
The Mountain Shifting Beast let out a pained roar as its back was split open with a massive wound over a dozen ters long, yet not a drop of blood seeped out, the wound closing up as quickly as a crack. At the sa ti, sharp spines erged from its solid Rock Armor, forcing Guloke off its back.
In front of it, the two Blood Generals had also arrived, launching attacks around it.
One used a long spear, the other wielded two war axes, hacking frantically at the Mountain Shifting Beast. Their weapons emitted burts of Blood-Drinking Fury Fla, burning the beast so much it cried out in agony.
The Mountain Shifting Beast’s speed suddenly slowed, holding its ground in defense.
It occasionally lifted its feet to release stomps, or generated Earth Spurs to counterattack, but for the Blood Generals, these were not fatal.
Conversely, the three including Guloke could not kill it either.
They could wound the Mountain Shifting Beast, but no matter how severe the injury, it always healed in a few breaths.
I can’t kill you, and you can’t kill .
Both sides were at a stalemate.
At that mont, a battle cry for an attack rang out from within the Skulcrusher Tribe, the city gates flight wide open, countless blood-eyed Biao Clan charging out frantically. So leapt straight from the top of the city walls while others counterattacked through the breaches, the Highlanders who had just rushed in were torn to pieces.
One side retreated, the other pursued.
In the blink of an eye, the montum of attack and defense switched.
Ji Xinghuo and his group were relatively far, with Highlanders behind them resisting the Biao Clan, so they just needed to retreat at ease, and hence, he breathed a sigh of relief.
"Damn it," Xia Qingyu exclaid, "this battle is a total ss."
Misha spoke, "With that Mountain Shifting Beast, another attack will be difficult."
"That’s not for us to worry about," Xia Qingyu shook his head, "After all, it’s the Highlanders who are dying. We just need to retreat to the other side of the river bank and survive first."
Ji Xinghuo was about to speak when he suddenly felt an alarm in his heart.
Then, a hundred-ter-long Fla Blade suddenly appeared on the ice in front of them, each flicker of fla blood-red and intensely hot, yet so solid as if tangible. It cleaved through the air, striking the ice, and terrible high-temperature flas erupted.
Boom!
A thunderous explosion echoed to the heavens.
The Highlanders who were retreating across the ice, at least three or four hundred, were instantly burned to ashes. The patch of ice, hundreds of ters long, fractured and the raging river water turned to steam from the imnse heat, sweeping away more Highlanders into the river.
Xia Qingyu watched in disbelief, shouting in shock, "Who the hell did that?"
Ji Xinghuo’s expression was also grave.
His electromagnetic induction had failed to detect any sign of it until that mont when he finally noticed a powerful figure appearing above the river surface.
The next second.
Amidst the boiling river water, a Highlander with his upper body bare soared into the air.
Like most Highlanders, his body was covered in dense blood-colored tattoos, but the patterns were different from those of the Blood Fury Tribe. His body blazed with Blood-Drinking Fury Fla, his hair disheveled and even his hair afla, his eyes’ pupils like two balls of blood-colored fire.
This was also a Blood General!
However, he did not seem to be an ally of the Blood Fury Tribe but an enemy.
What was most striking was the weapon in his hand—a giant war blade of a unique design.
The blade was a single piece of red crystal, roughly one and three ters long, irregular in shape; within it, one could see a spinal bone, of a dark golden color, embedded in the middle. It branched out like a fishbone with several smaller bones extending from either side. The bone’s main shaft ended at the tip of the blade and extended out of the crystal to form a handle.
The bone-like, thick handle was over half a ter long and segnted, with shoulder-blade-like bones growing laterally to make a fierce guard.
The blade, nearly one and eight ters long, burned with a bright red fla.
Broad, thick, sinister, and domineering.
With just one glance, Ji Xinghuo’s pupils involuntarily constricted, the blade giving off an extrely terrible vibe through his electromagnetic induction, as if it possessed indescribable magic power.
Even from this distance, it caused his heart to stir uncontrollably.
Demonic Blade!
This weapon was definitely at Apocalypse Level, and it might even be at Apocalypse Two Stars!
At that mont, the Blood General wielding the giant war blade hovered above the river, his left hand lightly closed, and streams of dark red light began extracting from the surrounding Highlanders, flowing into the blade, causing the Blood-Drinking Fury Fla around him to rise higher and the blade’s flas to grow even more intense.
