A Mu did not respond, and Luo Cheng did not ask further.
Back during the Outer Sect tournant, Luo Cheng had already felt eight or nine parts certain of the identity of the Lingyun Pavilion Master. Now, he was rely confirming it.
As it turns out, his speculation was correct!
The two walked through a flower garden, ahead lay a bamboo grove, with glimpses of a finely crafted pavilion hidden within.
At that mont, two figures erged along the bamboo path, slowly approaching from a distance.
Seeing the newcors, a flicker of strange emotion flashed across Luo Cheng’s eyes.
It was a man and a woman.
The woman appeared to be sixteen or seventeen years old, dressed in a close-fitting red outfit, her features finely drawn, her figure graceful. Particularly striking were her exposed legs—long and supple like white jade—and her hair tied up neatly, exuding charm imbued with an air of heroism.
The man walking beside her bore so resemblance to her, tall and imposing, his aura noble. He carried a faint air of regal authority about him, clearly no ordinary individual.
The most startling thing to Luo Cheng was that he could not discern the man’s cultivation at all!
The man’s presence felt like a vast, flowing river—impossibly deep and unfathomable!
"A Mu, let us visit another day,"
The pair stopped nearby, and the young woman spoke to A Mu before shifting her gaze sharply, mixed with curiosity, toward Luo Cheng:
"Who might this be?"
A Mu responded flatly, "A friend of the Pavilion Master."
"The Pavilion Master’s friend?"
The tall man raised an eyebrow, casting his gaze upon Luo Cheng. A brilliant gleam flashed from his eyes, akin to falling teors, burning suns!
Luo Cheng suddenly felt an imnse pressure surging toward him, like tidal waves crashing over.
Instantly, waves of golden turbulence erupted within his Sea of Consciousness!
A muffled "pop" echoed as the invisible oppressive force shattered and dispersed.
Luo Cheng stepped back a pace but maintained a calm deanor as he t the man’s eyes, his tone cold:
"What is the aning of this?"
Surprise flickered in the tall man’s gaze before he swiftly withdrew his aura, his expression softening into a warm smile as he clasped his hands in apology to Luo Cheng:
"I couldn’t help but notice a certain extraordinary quality to the young brother’s bearing. My curiosity got the better of , and I was impolite. Take this elixir pill as an apology; how does that sound?"
With a flick of his finger, a finely crafted jade box appeared in the man’s palm.
"Big brother..."
Seeing the jade box, the stunning young woman widened her eyes.
"There’s no need to stand on ceremony."
Luo Cheng replied nonchalantly, accepting the jade box with a sweep of his hand and tucking it into his coat without hesitation. After all, one does not strike a smiling man, especially when said man possesses strength far beyond one’s own.
The tall man paused briefly, then laughed heartily:
"You truly are a man of straightforward temperant! By the way, I still don’t know your na."
"Luo Cheng," he answered.
"Haha, I am Jin Tiandu, and this is my younger sister, Jin Yuxi!" Jin Tiandu introduced with a smile.
Jin Yuxi rely gave a slight nod, her flawless chin dipping lightly.
The surna Jin?
Luo Cheng’s eyes flickered with thought.
"Luo Cheng, if you ever find yourself in the Imperial City, let us et again. Farewell!"
The duo turned and departed.
After they had walked so distance away, Jin Yuxi finally couldn’t restrain herself:
"Big brother, that guy is nothing but an Outer Disciple of the Xuanyuan Sect, yet you gave him a ridian Opening Pill!"
Jin Tiandu chuckled, "And why not?"
Jin Yuxi bit her crimson lips. "It’s far too extravagant! It’s not worth it! A single ridian Opening Pill is enough to sway an Awakening Vein Realm expert, and he’s rely at the Third Layer of the Tongxuan Realm’s early-stage—what rit does he have?"
"And then there’s that Pavilion Master. After agreeing to et, we even presented a heavy gift, but in just a few words, they sent us away as if we were nothing! He’s rely a Sub Pavilion Master of Lingyun Pavilion!"
The more Jin Yuxi spoke, the angrier she beca, her delicate cheeks flushed crimson.
After multiple attempts visiting, all they had faced were closed doors.
This ti, they finally t only to exchange a few sentences before promptly being dismissed! The humiliating treatnt filled her with indignation, and her hostility extended to Luo Cheng.
Jin Tiandu shook his head, maintaining his gentle smile: "Yuxi, for the Pavilion Master to agree to et us, that alone shows respect to us. As for the ridian Opening Pill, I believe it was indeed worth it."
"Why?"
"If I’m correct, the Pavilion Master’s abrupt dismissal was precisely due to this person. Additionally, earlier when I deliberately tested him, his composure under the force of my aura was remarkable."
Jin Tiandu’s eyes glead like fine stars, his tone thoughtful: "To stand unwavering before power, especially at such a tender age, with a resolve this firm and brimming with killing aura—this person is no ordinary being! To form goodwill with one ridian Opening Pill is a worthwhile investnt. Perhaps, in due ti, he may be of use to ."
Hearing Jin Tiandu praise Luo Cheng so highly, Jin Yuxi couldn’t help but pout in disdain:
"At the end of the day, he’s still just at the Third Layer of the Tongxuan Realm—utterly average! In all of Xuanyuan Sect’s Outer Disciple ranks, there isn’t anyone noteworthy! He doesn’t even co close to comparing with our Luoxia Sect’s Senior Sister Yan Qingshuang!"
Venturing into criticism, Jin Yuxi’s mood lightened, before shifting her focus:
"Big brother, I’ve heard troubling news about Guyuan City. Is it true that war might break out?"
Jin Tiandu’s expression turned solemn, nodding gravely:
"After the unprecedented war, various factions have intermittently gathered near Guyuan City, generating several covert conflicts already."
He sighed, continuing: "With the disappearance of the Emperor of Great Chu, the Yunlan Domain Group has beco leaderless, inviting chaos from unchecked forces, with even ancient demon lords gradually erging."
"It won’t be long before the entire Yunlan Domain Group descends into turmoil. This poses a significant challenge to our Great Yue Dynasty."
Jin Yuxi stuck out her tongue: "Is it really that severe?"
Jin Tiandu offered a bitter smile: "The reality is likely worse than severe. During a ti of unrest, the weak stand no chance of surviving, and that applies just as much to kingdoms as to individuals."
"We can only hope that our Great Yue Dynasty produces enough prodigies—preferably a leader capable of intimidating surrounding nations—to grant us a fighting chance."
Within the bamboo path,
Luo Cheng retrieved the jade box.
Upon opening it, the entire grove was awash in a brilliant blood-gold aura, thick and palpable. Just a single breath of this radiance left one feeling invigorated.
Inside was a blood-gold Spirit Pill, the size of a thumb, adorned with five radiant star-shaped patterns glinting magnificently.
"This is a Five-star Spirit Pill—a ridian Opening Pill! It can assist Tongxuan Realm martial artists in advancing to the Awakening Vein Realm or help Awakening Vein experts enhance their cultivation. It’s incredibly precious. Even for Awakening Vein experts, it’s a priceless treasure! That Jin Tiandu truly spared no expense by gifting you this pill."
Seeing the Spirit Pill nestled within, even A Mu’s eyes sparkled.
Snap!
Luo Cheng snapped the jade box shut, asking, "Who are they?"
A Mu chuckled: "You don’t even recognize the Crown Prince of your Great Yue Dynasty? That Jin Yuxi is his ninth sister, the Ninth Princess of the Great Yue Dynasty!"
"So it’s true,"
Luo Cheng wasn’t particularly surprised.
Judging from their aura and surna, he had already guessed their identities.
Yet, despite both being princes, the difference between the Eighth Prince Jin Min and Jin Tiandu was a world apart.
Jin Tiandu treated others kindly, exuding the warmth of spring sunshine, whereas Jin Min relentlessly embodied aggression.
The Ninth Princess Jin Yuxi, however, bore so resemblance to the Eighth Prince.
"The Pavilion Master is upstairs; go ahead."
Amid their conversation, they arrived outside the exquisite pavilion, where A Mu halted.
"Alright."
Ascending to the second floor, Luo Cheng imdiately spotted a beautiful woman seated by the window.
She was draped in a fox fur cloak, her skin resembling white jade, her legs long and slender. Seated there, her curves and contours stirred hearts, while a gentle breeze blew, lifting her black veil to reveal half of an exquisitely perfect face. At the sa ti, an alluring scent akin to musk or orchids wafted through the air.
