"Did it work?!" the woman couldn’t contain her joyful surprise and asked Chu Lingjun directly.
Chu Lingjun didn’t respond, instead slowly rising from the ground. She approached the woman once again. The power within the Barrier erupted before she even got close, trying to repel her. However, Chu Lingjun had now recovered. Facing the force rushing toward her, she simply waved her hand and effortlessly dissolved it.
Seeing that Chu Lingjun was about to destroy the Barrier, the woman imdiately warned, "Be careful! This Barrier can’t be broken by force, or you’ll be easily corrupted by its power!"
After hearing this, Chu Lingjun stopped herself. She looked up and asked, "Then how should I break it?"
"You can’t break this Barrier forcefully," the woman explained. "Instead, you must use a gentle force to slowly suppress the power within. Only then will you have a chance to break through!"
Chu Lingjun nodded slightly. She began to circulate the battle qi in her body, infusing a gentle stream of it into the Barrier. At first, the Barrier resisted, imdiately entering a defensive state as an even more formidable power blasted toward her.
Chu Lingjun’s expression changed slightly as she quickly moved to defend herself. To her surprise, the force was incredibly strong, knocking her back several steps. Fortunately, the blast didn’t harm her, though a numbing sensation spread through her arm.
Her brows furrowed as she asked the woman, "Didn’t you say there wouldn’t be a problem if I used a gentle force?"
"Perhaps the force wasn’t gentle enough," the woman said. "Keep trying to suppress it and see what happens."
She was trapped with her hands and feet bound, completely unable to act against the Barrier herself, so she wasn’t entirely sure of the specifics. What she offered was based purely on experience; the actual situation still needed to be tested.
Seeing this, Chu Lingjun could only nod slightly without another word. She allowed her battle qi to circulate throughout her body until her aura stabilized. Then, she walked forward a few more steps until she was before the Barrier again. She compressed her battle qi as much as she could before slowly releasing a gentle stream into the Barrier.
Under Chu Lingjun’s control, the battle qi flowed with extre gentleness. When it entered the Barrier, it paused for only a mont before slowly enveloping the entire structure.
Chu Lingjun remained vigilant, wary of any further resistance. After a short wait, the Barrier gave no reaction. Only then did her tense heart relax a little. She refocused, continuing to channel her battle qi into the Barrier.
This process continued for about five minutes. The once-sparse battle qi, now converged, ford an imnsely powerful energy.
BOOM!
This formidable energy instantly dissolved the Barrier before her.
Upon seeing this, joy finally flickered in the woman’s eyes. Chu Lingjun walked up to her and glanced at the thunder silk binding her body.
"Quick!" the woman urged, desperate to be free. "Hurry and get this thing off !"
But Chu Lingjun didn’t move. She just looked at the woman, then took out a pill and held it up.
The woman’s smile froze, but she still opened her mouth.
With a flick of her finger, Chu Lingjun sent the pill flying into the woman’s mouth. The woman swallowed, and the poison settled in her stomach.
"I’ve taken the poison as you wished," the woman said, her eyes locked on Chu Lingjun. "Now, it’s ti for you to fulfill your promise and free
from this thunder silk."
Hearing this, Chu Lingjun just smiled faintly. "Don’t be in such a hurry. I haven’t finished speaking."
"What?" The woman’s brows furrowed, clearly displeased with Chu Lingjun’s conduct. "Are you going back on your word?"
Chu Lingjun shook her head, her gaze locked on the woman. "I’m not going back on my word. It’s just that before I release you, I should at least know who you are, shouldn’t I?"
At these words, the woman’s expression darkened.
Seeing this, Chu Lingjun continued, "Of course, if you have so unspeakable secret, you don’t have to tell the truth. But I have my own safety to consider. If you refuse to speak, I’ll have to reconsider whether to uphold my end of this bargain."

As she finished, a hint of desolation entered her eyes. She then stared intently at Chu Lingjun. "Now that I’ve taken your poison and truthfully told you my identity, it’s ti for you to fulfill your promise, isn’t it?"
After learning Lei Man’s identity, Chu Lingjun finally nodded in satisfaction. With a wave of her hand, two Qi Blades spun through the air and struck the thunder silk.
With a sharp BANG, the strands snapped.
"Hahaha—" Lei Man burst into loud laughter. "I’m finally free!"
She shot to her feet and vanished, her figure flashing through the space as a series of afterimages. She had been trapped for so long. Now that she was finally free, she could properly stretch her limbs.
Chu Lingjun stood her ground and watched, a sense of vigilance rising in her heart. After all, she still doesn’t trust this woman. It’s better to be cautious.
When Lei Man stopped, she was standing directly in front of Chu Lingjun. Chu Lingjun stared straight at her, already secretly gathering her power. If this Lei Man truly intended her harm, she was prepared to fight back.
Fortunately, Lei Man seed intent on keeping her word. She just gave a cold snort, showing no intention of attacking. Instead, she spoke icily, "You’d better keep what happened today to yourself. If you dare leak a word of this to anyone, I will kill you."
No matter what, she was an elder of the Jinglei Sect. If word got out that she had suffered a setback at the hands of Chu Lingjun today, how could she ever maintain her standing? Since she couldn’t attack Chu Lingjun directly right now, she could only vent her anger by issuing threats.
Chu Lingjun rely gave a slight nod, saying nothing more. "I’ve done my part," she stated, looking at Lei Man. "Now, can you tell
how to get out of this place?"
She had been in this space for a long ti, and her heart was filled with worry. Her mind was consud with thoughts of Long Chen, wondering about his condition. Is he in danger? Or is he already safe? These questions cycled through her mind, making her deeply anxious. At this mont, she was terribly worried about Long Chen.
"Since you’re already here, don’t be in such a hurry to leave," Lei Man said with a faint smile. "I’ve been trapped here for so many years. If I leave without any gains, wouldn’t all that ti have been wasted? Since you’re here too, why don’t we explore this place a bit?"
"What do you an?" Chu Lingjun’s brows knitted. "If you want to stay and explore, you can stay. Just tell
how to get out of here."
Lei Man changed the subject. "If you leave now, you might miss out on so great fortune. Wouldn’t you regret that?"
Chu Lingjun’s gaze locked onto Lei Man. "I asked you for the way out. Why are you changing the subject?"
Lei Man was about to argue further, but Chu Lingjun saw right through her. "You keep putting off telling
how to leave... Don’t tell
you don’t actually know the way out?"
