Chapter 65: Chapter 64: The Downfall of Jintian

"This is the price, but killing you makes it worth it!" he taunted Ye Fan.

"Is that so?" Ye Fan retorted coldly. "Then let

test you!"

He moved quickly, rushing toward the massive monster and throwing a punch. The creature, however, remained completely still. Instead, it was Ye Fan who was sent flying by the monster’s return punch, smashing viciously against the wall. This was the first ti he had suffered such a setback since returning to the Divine Land.

Ye Fan shook his dizzy head, then stood and put his guard up against the monster.

"It can’t last long—five minutes at most!" one of the scientists called out to Ye Fan.

He nodded. Although his strength was no match for the monster, he could still hold out for five minutes.

He re-engaged the monster, displaying the full might of the King of Heaven. He lashed out with a kick, sending the creature flying into a glass wall. The glass instantly shattered, and the monster crashed heavily onto the floor outside.

Ye Fan gave chase. As he stepped into the next area, he felt a strong corrosive presence and turned to see a pool of sulfuric acid nearby. An unbearable stench rose from the acid; this must have been where they disposed of bodies and other evidence.

An idea struck Ye Fan. He strode forward to continue battling the monster. The creature once again dealt him a heavy blow, but this was exactly what Ye Fan wanted. He retreated quickly, with the monster in hot pursuit. Just as it closed in, Ye Fan kicked off the ground and launched himself into a three-hundred-and-sixty-degree flip.

He then slamd a kick into the monster’s back, sending it plunging headfirst into the acid pool.

"AH!" the monster shrieked in agony.

Sulfuric acid splashed out of the pool, landing on the surrounding floor and causing it to foam. The concentration of the acid was incredibly high.

The monster tried to rise, but it was too late. Its body rapidly corroded until it was completely consud by the sulfuric acid.

Witnessing this, Ye Fan drew a sharp breath and quickly left the foul-slling area.

He approached the scientists and asked, "What were they forcing you to research?"

"Bioweapons, similar to that monster," one of the scientists replied. Despite their terror, they told him the whole truth.

"I have breached this place, so you are saved," Ye Fan said. "But from now on, you must forget your research! If these biochemical monsters are successfully developed, it will be a terrible disaster for everyone. So go! I won’t kill you. But you had better not leak any information about this!"

He did not intend to execute the scientists.

They looked at each other, then one said, "Our records in the outside world show that we are already dead. We carry the weight of our sins, so we don’t plan on leaving."

Their decision took Ye Fan by surprise. So, they do have a conscience after all.

Ye Fan said, "You are national treasures; your talents shouldn’t be wasted like this. How about this? Why don’t you join my organization?"

"I can offer you the best conditions. I won’t restrict your freedom, leak your secrets, or make you work on depraved projects like this!"

Ye Fan was intent on recruiting them. After all, his King Hall already had several scientists researching weapons and pills for them. He felt that these scientists were worth persuading. His organization in the Divine Land had not yet found its footing, and with their help, it could grow rapidly.

The scientists exchanged glances and finally decided to join Ye Fan’s organization.

Ye Fan was very satisfied. He had won them over without much argunt, which was certainly a reason for him to be pleased.

Several top executives from the Jintian Group attempted to flee but were intercepted by Black Fog and the others.

Ye Fan arrived. Tian Can and Di Que had already gone to tend to their wounds, so Black Fog asked him, "What should we do with these people?"

Looking at the trembling executives, Ye Fan said simply, "Kill them."

"Understood!"

As soon as Black Fog spoke, the executives’ heads were severed. The battle was finally over. Ye Fan sighed inaudibly, feeling that he had acted at just the right ti.

If they had succeeded in developing their biochemical army, it would have dealt a significant blow to the world, and the Divine Land would have borne the brunt of it. The power of this biochemical army was terrifying. Only by witnessing it firsthand could one understand that it was a formidable enemy that no organization in the world could have withstood.

The facility was now in ruins. Ye Fan ordered everything destroyed: the master templates, the samples, and all the research data. Only after obliterating these sources of evil did he finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Back at the villa, a sensational piece of news broke in Jiangning the next day: the Jintian Group’s scandal had been exposed.

Everyone in the Divine Land was furious. The powerful Jintian Group, a corporation that had once rivaled countless major conglorates in the Divine Land, collapsed in a single day.

Not only did it collapse, but all of its top executives were arrested. The event caused a massive uproar, so much so that the Divine Continent Sword personally intervened.

Japan and South Korea demanded that the Divine Land hand over the arrested individuals, but this ti, the Divine Land refused to extradite them.

After a single night of interrogation, the n were executed by firing squad the next day. In the end, the Divine Land returned their bodies to the two nations.

Both nations were furious but helpless, as the Divine Land was like an immovable mountain. Although on the surface their strength might have seed greater than the Divine Land’s, that was only because the Divine Land maintained a low profile. They couldn’t even dream of shaking its status.

The Divine Continent Sword knew Ye Fan was responsible for this incident and sent a representative to thank him. Ostensibly, it was a gesture of gratitude, but secretly, they feared Ye Fan might have kept the master templates and the research data. However, after seeing the photographs of Ye Fan destroying all the data and the master templates, they left, finally reassured.

Seeing the mighty Jintian Group collapse, Su Qingxue was the happiest of all.

She stood on the roof of her company building and said, "Dad, if you were still alive, you would surely be so happy!"

Su Qingxue’s joy was tinged with sadness. The downfall of this conglorate had co at the cost of too many lives, including that of her father, Su Jian Country.

But I know who did this. The only one who could bring down a behemoth like the Jintian Group had to be Ye Fan. He finally kept his promise to .

With the fall of the Jintian Group, Ye Fan also felt a sense of relief. He was pleased to see Su Qingxue in such high spirits, but what delighted him most was that she was being unexpectedly kind to him. She was so kind that he found it hard to believe. Her usual cold indifference was gone, replaced only by tenderness.
