Chapter 454: Chapter 453: The Intention to Seek Battle

Seeing Ye Fan’s confusion, Heather couldn’t help but say, "It’s because they fear my grandfather!

"Neither the European Pope nor my grandfather has fully recovered. If the Church Court attacks first, my grandfather will surely be roused. At that point, he would likely wipe out the European Church Court before the Pope even has a chance to fully recover."

So the European Church Court is afraid of the Cain Ancestor. That makes sense, Ye Fan mused.

After all, the Cain Ancestor was the only great figure who could rival the European Pope. Everyone else, even he and Heather, were far inferior. Although they stood proudly in the Saint Realm, a vast gap still separated them from the Reincarnation Realm—a chasm that might take a lifeti to cross. Of course, given their formidable talents, reaching that realm was only a matter of ti.

At this point, Ye Fan said to Heather, "Have you considered launching an offensive yourselves?"

Ye Fan’s way of thinking was truly unique. In an era where the European Church Court was so formidable, most would be content with rely defending themselves. Who would dare to attack first? But his philosophy was different: true survival ant seizing the initiative in a desperate situation.

Heather held a wineglass in her hand, motionless. To any outsider, Ye Fan’s plan would seem insane, even boundlessly arrogant. But right now... I actually feel the urge to consider it, she thought. This plan is incredibly tempting.

Then, Heather said, "This plan isn’t bad. Tell

more."

"In the current situation, the European Church Court will definitely take the initiative to attack," Ye Fan explained. "They’re just waiting for the right mont. No matter how you look at it, the Vampire Clan are just sitting ducks! A preemptive strike, however, might make them wary. It would disrupt all their plans!"

Heather found herself convinced by his reasoning. I never would have considered this approach before. But his ideas are always so unorthodox... perhaps this could actually work. Yes, given the Vampire Clan’s current situation, our odds of victory are slim even if the Cain Ancestor awakens. Launching an offensive now might be a good thing. It could even open up a new path for us.

"Of the European Church Court’s four Holy Envoys," Ye Fan continued, "I’ve already killed the Fire Cloud Saint Envoy!"

Heather stared at Ye Fan, stunned. She hadn’t expected his strength to have grown so rapidly; it was completely beyond her expectations. A Holy Clan Saint Envoy... Even I’m not confident I could kill one, yet Ye Fan did it. How insane.

She asked, "When did you kill the Fire Cloud Saint Envoy? His strength wasn’t the greatest among the four, but he was the most volatile!"

"His power is undeniable," Heather admitted. "Even I would have found it difficult to kill him."

"It happened a short while ago," Ye Fan replied. "The fool actually had the audacity to co to the Divine Land and order our Shen Zhou Martial Artists to join them in attacking the Vampire Clan."

"In this world, no one can command . I’d sooner die. So, I dealt with him, along with two of his Thrones."

"It seems you’ve made progress," Heather remarked.

"Just a lucky breakthrough," Ye Fan said with a smile. There really was no need for such formalities between them.

"So, they only have three Holy Envoys left," Heather said, the pieces clicking into place. "I think I understand what you’re getting at now!"

"Exactly," Ye Fan laughed. "Once we eliminate those three, the European Church Court will be stripped of its top-tier power. As for their mid-level forces, they’re not even worth ntioning!"

Heather nodded. "Perhaps we really can do this!" She was completely won over by Ye Fan’s plan.

With only three Holy Envoys remaining, the European Church Court was still powerful, but with her and Ye Fan working together, that power beca manageable. Against all three at once, they stood little chance. But if they could isolate and eliminate them one by one, victory was no longer just a dream.

In Heather’s eyes, the fate of the Vampire Clan now rested on her and Ye Fan’s shoulders.

So, she asked him imdiately, "When do we move?"

"Anyti," Ye Fan replied.

After the banquet ended, Heather and Ye Fan stood atop the Vampire Clan’s Holy Mountain, taking in the landscape that stretched for a hundred miles in every direction. Ye Fan loved this feeling of looking down from a great height. For a mont, I feel like I could spread my wings and soar.

Heather ca up behind him and leaned close, wrapping her arms around his waist. I’ve longed for this feeling, she thought. I wish we could just stay like this and walk on together forever.

"Thank you," she said softly. "Thank you for coming to the Vampire Clan’s rescue."

Ye Fan chuckled. "Don’t ntion it. I’m just fighting for the Divine Land. Once they deal with the Vampire Clan, they’ll definitely attack the Divine Land next. Our only chance to defeat the European Church Court is to form an alliance now!"

Hearing his pragmatic explanation, Heather’s expression changed in an instant. She kicked him.

"Hey!"

Ye Fan tumbled backward, feeling utterly wronged as Heather turned and stord off in a huff. This isn’t the Heather I rember... Why are all won so unreasonable? I’m going to lose my mind. He didn’t even know what he did wrong.

He replayed the conversation in his mind and finally realized his mistake. I should have just said sothing nice to her! Sothing like I’d go through fire and water for her sake. Instead, my EQ short-circuited and I blurted out the blunt truth, and I got kicked for it. I’m such an idiot. After all, even though Heather was the Queen of the Vampire Clan, she still had the heart of a young girl who wanted to be pampered. He had no idea what to do.

Returning to Heather’s chambers, he approached her and began, "About that..."

"You don’t have to say anything," Heather interrupted, her voice soft.

It seed she already knew everything he wanted to express. He pulled her into his arms. Heather lay there quietly, and it was clear she was enjoying the embrace.

"I used to dream that one day, soone would treat

like this," she murmured. "Now, that dream has co true."

"Haha, that’s what you call fate!" Ye Fan laughed.

"After the war with the European Church Court is over," Heather said, "I want to be with you forever."

"Don’t worry," Ye Fan assured her. "You will have that day."

Suddenly, Heather’s body turned icy cold. Ye Fan was startled. While vampires were naturally cold, this was an abnormal, deathly chill.

"What’s wrong?" he asked.

"I’m hungry," Heather said weakly.

Ye Fan understood what she ant and imdiately pushed her down onto the bed.

"It’s too late!" she gasped.

"Then what should we do?" Ye Fan asked, worried.

In a flash, Heather sank her fangs into his neck. The mont she moved, Ye Fan knew what was happening. He closed his eyes, allowing her to bite down. She greedily drank his blood.

After she finished, Ye Fan collapsed onto the bed, his body now icy cold from her influence. Heather imdiately covered him with her own body. "I’m sorry, my dear," she whispered.

"I... I can take it," Ye Fan said sullenly.

Heather began kissing the wound she had just made, and so warmth slowly returned to Ye Fan’s body. Still, he found her ministrations unsettling. In response, he pulled her into a passionate kiss, and the room once again beca the stage for a war without smoke.
