Chapter 390: Chapter 389 Crisis Approaches

However, when Ye Fan held up the Werewolf Leader’s head, the Gale Blood Ancestor was instantly stunned. He stared at the severed head, as if recalling the horrific events of the past. Having lived through that inhuman era, he knew its horrors all too well; werewolves were the ultimate nightmare for the Vampire Clan. Back then, countless vampires had died at their hands. A battle between the two dark monarchs was inevitable, but he never thought the war would co so soon.

In the Vampire Clan’s Holy Temple, Heather was painting a portrait of Ye Fan. Her skill with oil paints was remarkable, capturing his likeness with uncanny precision. Her expression shifted from icy cold to ambiguously warm. It seed her feelings about Ye Fan were a complicated mix, leaving her uncertain of how to face him. The pain Ye Fan had caused her this ti was imnse.

While she was deep in thought, her maidservant rushed in. "Ancestor Lord," she said respectfully but urgently, "the Gale Blood Ancestor has an urgent matter to report!"

"I told you not to disturb

when I am contemplating! That includes you!" Heather snapped, her hand raised to strike.

The maidservant despaired, knowing Heather’s volatile temper all too well. In a panic, she quickly added, "It’s about the werewolves!"

Hearing this, Heather stayed her hand. "Werewolf" was a taboo word among the Vampire Clan. At its ntion, her expression changed drastically. "Bring the Gale Blood Ancestor in!"

"Yes!" The maidservant hurried away.

The Gale Blood Ancestor arrived, carrying an injured Ye Fan. Heather’s expression imdiately hardened, assuming the Gale Blood Ancestor was the one who had seriously wounded him. Yet, she found it hard to believe. With Ye Fan’s current strength, the Gale Blood Ancestor shouldn’t have been able to harm him so grievously.

The Gale Blood Ancestor reported quickly, "Ancestor Lord, I have important news! The werewolves are invading!"

"What?" Heather was shocked. The werewolves’ arrival was ahead of schedule and completely unexpected. In her mind, they shouldn’t have appeared for at least a few more years.

The Gale Blood Ancestor threw the Werewolf Leader’s head to the ground. "This is one of their leaders," he said, pointing to the semi-conscious Ye Fan on his shoulder. "He killed him."

Heather looked at Ye Fan, then ordered, "Revive him at once!"

"Yes!" Although jealous, the Gale Blood Ancestor complied. The mont he heard the word "werewolf," he knew he couldn’t kill Ye Fan. As a Blood Ancestor, the safety of the Vampire Clan was his primary duty; personal grudges had to be set aside.

After receiving treatnt, Ye Fan awoke.

Heather questioned him imdiately. "Have the werewolves truly arrived? Where did you see them?"

"Prince Bao Feng’s castle has already been taken," Ye Fan replied. "They’re closing in on your headquarters. It seems they intend to encircle it!"

"What?" Heather seethed with anger, stunned that the werewolves had accomplished so much without anyone noticing.

"Thank you for bringing

this news," she said gratefully.

"Don’t thank

yet. You need to prepare, and fast!" Ye Fan urged. "At this rate, the werewolves will reach your headquarters in three days at most."

Realizing how little ti they had, Heather said to Ye Fan, "Heal here in the Holy Temple for now."

"Alright!" Ye Fan sighed with relief. He had witnessed the power of the werewolves firsthand and had no idea which side would win the coming war.

Heather imdiately ordered her Blood Ancestors to recall all the scattered mbers of the Vampire Clan, as well as the Princes. Of the twelve Vampire Princes, all but three returned: the Evil Wing Prince and Prince Greedy Blade, both killed by Ye Fan, and Prince Bao Feng, killed by the werewolves’ third commander. Of the five great Blood Ancestors, the Bat Blood Ancestor had been eliminated by Heather, leaving four. The Vampire Clan’s lineup was formidable, but against the impossibly arrogant werewolves, the pressure was still imnse. On a high-level battlefield like this, the likes of Earls and Dukes were insignificant. A single elite werewolf could fight two vampires. A brutal war was about to begin.

After two days of recuperation, Ye Fan had recovered.

However, the Gale Blood Ancestor chose this mont to arrive. Ye Fan had never liked the man, but now, he no longer feared him. Still, with the Vampire Clan in crisis, he had no desire to settle old scores.

"Are you leaving?" the Gale Blood Ancestor asked.

"That’s right. I delivered the ssage for your Vampire Clan, so my purpose is fulfilled. On top of that, I even killed a Werewolf Leader for you." I’ve already gone above and beyond.

But the Gale Blood Ancestor scolded him, "You’re no man!"

Damn it, this guy is really asking for a beating! Ye Fan cursed inwardly.

"The Ancestor Lord likes you. You shouldn’t leave at a ti like this!" the Gale Blood Ancestor admonished.

"But I don’t like her!" Ye Fan stated flatly.

"You!" The Gale Blood Ancestor nearly lashed out. The blow was devastating. To think that the woman he had pursued his entire life could be so casually dismissed by Ye Fan with a simple, "But I don’t like her!"

"Say what you will," the Gale Blood Ancestor said coldly, "but the Ancestor Lord is injured. She forsook the blood she needed for your sake, and she has yet to recover to her peak strength. She might not be a match for the Wolf King. If you’re going to leave, you’d better think carefully!"

Then, he hurried away to make arrangents.

Don’t try to guilt-trip , Ye Fan wanted to retort. He had to admit, however, that the Gale Blood Ancestor’s tactic had worked.

During this ti, a solemn atmosphere settled over the Vampire Clan.

Heather asked, "Have all the reinforcents arrived?"

"Ancestor Lord, they have," the Gale Blood Ancestor reported quickly. "However, they were ambushed by werewolves on the way. We suffered heavy losses—three Vampire Princes were killed!"

A flash of endless fury appeared in Heather’s eyes. Cultivating a Vampire Prince was no easy task. Losing three at once was a grievous blow to the Vampire Clan.

"The Bat Blood Ancestor is dead as well," the Gale Blood Ancestor added.

"I know," Heather said. "I killed him."

"What?" The other Blood Ancestors looked at her, baffled.

"He dared to make a move against , seeking to beco the Ancestor himself," Heather explained. "He deserved to die!"

The others were shocked, and they cursed the Bat Blood Ancestor for a fool. To dare target the Ancestor Lord was a death sentence. Heather had done well to kill him.

Heather then said, "The ti is not yet right for Lord Cain to erge from seclusion. We must face this werewolf threat ourselves!"

In truth, Heather was not the one true Ancestor. With Cain in seclusion, she was rely the temporary leader of the Blood Clan.

"Understood!" the Blood Ancestors nodded eagerly. They knew that if they couldn’t even handle the werewolves, their clan had no business re-erging into the world. Furthermore, the European Church Court was watching them like a tiger stalking its prey; they were the most fearso enemy of all.
