Chapter 262: Chapter 261: Plan Fails
Gongsun Shengheng had been staring at the monitor for over an hour and was reaching his limit; he had been glued to the screen this entire ti. However, Ye Fan simply sat motionless on the edge of the bed, staring at his phone. anwhile, Gongsun Shengheng’s sister was out like a light, showing no signs of waking up.
What am I going to do if this keeps up? he wondered. Just then, he saw his sister stir on the monitor and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Dressed alluringly, Gongsun Linglong slowly opened her eyes, realizing her plan hadn’t even begun. Looking over at Ye Fan, who was swaying slightly as he looked at his phone, she knew the honey trap had reached its critical phase. It was now or never.
She imdiately got up and threw herself onto Ye Fan. He reacted instantly, asking, "Miss Gongsun, what are you doing?"
"A man and a woman, all alone in a room. What do you think I’m doing?" Now drunk, Gongsun Linglong felt emboldened and lunged at him.
But Ye Fan pushed her away, saying, "Miss Gongsun, you’re drunk. I’m really not that kind of person, so please don’t treat
like one!"
"Mr. Ye, am I not attractive enough for you? Or perhaps... you have a problem in that departnt?" In her drunken haze, Gongsun Linglong undid her sheer white robe, revealing the tantalizing figure partly visible beneath. Her stunning physique was enough to make any man’s resolve crumble.
This included Ye Fan. When she seductively moved her legs, he nearly lost his composure. He repeated firmly, "Miss Gongsun, as I said, I’m not that kind of person! Please stop teasing !"
But Gongsun Linglong was convinced he was just putting on a righteous act. "No," she declared, "I need you!"
She lunged at him again. Ye Fan finally understood her intentions; any other man would have gladly accepted such a forward advance. But Ye Fan was different. Ever since returning to the Divine Land, he had established a firm principle for himself: he would never touch a woman unless their relationship had crossed a certain threshold. With that in mind, he prepared to stand up and leave the room.
At that mont, however, Gongsun Linglong leaped up and wrapped her arms around his neck. Ye Fan was already intoxicated, and his self-control was wavering. Though his mind scread no, his body instinctively embraced the beauty in his arms. Pulled off balance by her hold, Ye Fan stumbled backward, landing right on top of her. The situation was comical, yet it felt strangely fated.
Gongsun Linglong imdiately kissed him, so fast that he was caught completely off guard. As she held his neck, Ye Fan had only one thought.
Damn it, I’m being taken advantage of!
Seeing this unfold on the monitor, Gongsun Shengheng exclaid, "That bastard! He finally cracked! It’s my turn. Let’s go!"
A group of n hurried upstairs. Ye Fan was still trying to break free from Gongsun Linglong’s embrace when the door was kicked open.
"You pervert! How dare you lay a hand on my sister! I’ll settle this with you today!" Now that Ye Fan is drunk, he can’t possibly stand against , no matter how capable he usually is, Gongsun Shengheng thought, preparing to move in and apprehend him.
Swaying on his feet, Ye Fan commanded, "Stop!"
Gongsun Shengheng ignored him and turned to his sister with concern. "Sister, are you alright? Did this beast do anything to you?"
"Brother, he... he..." Gongsun Linglong burst into tears.
I’m speechless. This is a complete setup, Ye Fan thought.
"n, take this shaless pervert down! How dare he do sothing like that to my sister!" Gongsun Shengheng shouted.
His four subordinates charged. They were all top-tier experts who had reached the inner circle, a truly formidable group. Ye Fan imdiately t their attack, engaging all four at once. One move per man. In less than a minute, he had tossed all four of them aside.
"I’ll kill you!" Gongsun Shengheng roared, rushing forward.
But the mont he got close, Ye Fan’s fist shot out, stopping just before his throat. Gongsun Shengheng froze, utterly terrified.
"So, you two siblings conspired to fra ," Ye Fan said.
"Let my brother go!" Gongsun Linglong cried, staggering to her feet. She was even drunker than Ye Fan.
"Don’t force my hand," Ye Fan warned. "I have my limits, and you’d be wise not to cross them. If it weren’t for Gongsun Chou, you both would be dead right now." As he spoke, a suffocating killing intent erupted from him. Gongsun Shengheng and Gongsun Linglong were terrified; they had never experienced an aura so powerful. The sheer murderous pressure was unbearable, and they began to realize they had made a foolish mistake. They had underestimated Ye Fan’s strength to a degree they couldn’t have imagined.
"You were still wrong to rob us!" Gongsun Shengheng retorted, his voice trembling.
"I know I was in the wrong," Ye Fan admitted. "But that piece of Purple Jade can only achieve its true potential in my hands. I will share its benefits with you."
"Take it, then! It’s not like I cared about it anyway," Gongsun Linglong said coldly.
"Then let’s end this here," Ye Fan said. "We’ll just consider it a farce."
With that, he turned and walked away. Gongsun Shengheng struggled to help his sister up, and together they led their injured n downstairs. Needless to say, the Gongsun siblings’ plan had been a complete and utter failure.
As they exited the hotel, a group of n stumbled out of the adjacent bar. They were clearly dissolute young masters from wealthy families, radiating an air of arrogance and malice. They were about to get into a luxury car when they spotted the familiar figures of Gongsun Linglong and Gongsun Shengheng.
"Well, well, if it isn’t the Gongsuns. Looks like we’ve got a show tonight, boys!" one of them called out as they whistled and swaggered over.
"It’s them! Let’s go, quickly!" Gongsun Shengheng’s expression grew tense. He recognized these n as the young masters of the Pang and Rao families, two clans in Jinn that were rivals to the Gongsun Family.
He was apprehensive because both n were stronger than him. Fighting them both would be a struggle even on a good day, let alone now, when he had to protect his drunk sister. As for his n, they were useless even when uninjured, and now they were a complete liability.
The two newcors were Pang Hongyi and Rao Zhigang, the notorious pampered scions of Jinn City.
"Isn’t this Young Master Gongsun?" Rao Zhigang said mockingly. "It’s rare to see you in such high spirits. Why don’t you join us for so fun?" His gaze was fixed on Gongsun Linglong. He was clearly captivated by her beauty, particularly since she had dressed up specifically to seduce Ye Fan.
"No, thank you," Gongsun Shengheng replied coldly. "We’re busy today. Perhaps so other ti. Let’s go!"
But Pang Hongyi stepped forward, blocking their path.
"Gentlen, don’t push things too far," Gongsun Shengheng warned.
He was no match for them. Although the Pang and Rao families lacked their own resident Emperor-level Masters, their backer, the Mo Sect, boasted one such expert. But the two n were relentless. After all, the Pang and Rao families had long been enemies of the Gongsun Family, constantly competing for influence in Jinn.
