Chapter 231: Chapter 230 Romantic Mont

At that mont, Zhan Xiong stood up and began to officiate the wedding ceremony. The entire venue fell silent, for the King of Heaven’s wedding was no ordinary affair. If anyone dared to speak, they would certainly incite public outrage; being executed ten thousand tis wouldn’t be enough. Therefore, not a single person dared to utter a word, and this included the high-ranking officials.

Today, Su Qingxue looked her absolute best. With fresh and elegant makeup and a luxurious white wedding gown, she was undoubtedly the most beautiful woman there.

As the music started, she was escorted out by Fang Nan, Alice, Wu Shiyin, and Qin Yanran. The Diamond Crown on her head was dazzling, but it couldn’t overshadow her stunning beauty. This was the bride, Su Qingxue. Everyone praised her beauty, noting that even the won accompanying her were gorgeous. They all agreed that the King of Heaven had gathered the most beautiful won in the world.

At this ti, guards both inside and outside the manor were on high alert, watching for a sudden enemy attack. Fortunately, it was still daylight, so even if enemies were to arrive, they wouldn’t dare make a move.

Su Qingxue was overjoyed and imnsely proud, for she had finally beco the first woman to marry Ye Fan. Most of the other won were envious, wishing they could have such a grand wedding.

Is this the woman he’s never forgotten? In terms of appearance, I’m not inferior to Su Qingxue. In terms of intelligence, I’m not her inferior either; in fact, I might be far more formidable. But for so reason, I feel like she’s outshone

today. Perhaps it’s because... he isn’t mine. Shangguan Qiuyue wondered to herself.

Su Qingxue’s health was poor, so the wedding ceremony lasted for about half an hour. Only after it concluded did Mrs. Jiang and Ye Tiannan leave their seats. It was clear that both of their legs were trembling, but they concealed it well enough that no one else noticed. Ye Tiannan, after all, was a man who commanded thousands of soldiers, but the aura of those present today was overwhelming. Even a high-ranking military official like him felt suppressed by it.

Finally, it’s over. Mrs. Jiang thought, resisting the urge to wipe sweat from her forehead.

The venue grew lively again, as the ceremony for Ye Fan and Su Qingxue had ended. Many of the VIPs began to say their farewells; after all, their ti was precious. Sparing a few hours to attend was already the greatest sign of respect they could show him. So of these important figures had even postponed matters of national importance to be here.

As Ye Fan bid them farewell, however, he wore a solemn expression as night began to fall. Nightfall brought with it an air of slaughter. Ye Fan had a premonition that his enemies would seize this opportunity to strike.

For this reason, Ye Fan mobilized two-thirds of the Heavenly King Hall’s mbers to escort the officials from the manor to the airport. Using his authority as the General of Shangjing, Ye Tiannan mobilized a portion of Jiangning’s ard forces. They secured the route to the airport, prohibiting all other traffic. All of Jiangning’s police were busy coordinating with the military to eliminate any potential threats. An incident involving any one of these VIPs would beco sensational news in the city.

As the important guests departed one by one without incident, Ye Fan breathed a sigh of relief, praying that he was just overthinking things. As long as they left safely, he feared nothing that might happen afterward. He returned to the manor, where the surrounding area remained peaceful. The martial artists of the Heavenly King Hall returned to their posts, vigilantly watching their surroundings. Before long, the wealthy business magnates and other dignitaries also left. Of course, they were not entitled to a personal escort from Ye Fan, but they were the safest group. If an enemy were to attack, they would not be the targets. While they were important figures in the secular world, they were disposable in the underworld. There was no value in killing them.

Now, only their own people remained. It was much quieter, but Ye Fan was happy. He no longer had as many concerns.

At that mont, Su Qingxue leaned against Ye Fan’s chest. "Darling, the wedding is over. I wish we could have another one, but unfortunately, there won’t be a chance."

But Ye Fan said, "No. Actually, our wedding hasn’t even started yet!"

"Hasn’t started?" Su Qingxue asked, confused. It was clearly over, so why would he say that?

Ye Fan said, "My love, our ti together is just beginning. The night is long... it would be a sha to do nothing!"

This statent was already ambiguous, but it was made worse by Ye Fan’s teasing, lecherous tone, making a misunderstanding almost inevitable. Su Qingxue’s face imdiately flushed red. "You’re shaless!" she said.

Ye Fan was instantly speechless. He knew he’d be misunderstood, but that was to be expected, given his awkward way with words. He had no one to bla but himself.

Of course, Su Qingxue thought he ant exactly *that*, though that wasn’t his intention at all.

"Darling, I’ll satisfy you," she said earnestly. "My body may be failing, but tonight, I want to give you everything!"

Ye Fan was speechless.

When I try to be serious, I really am a perfect gentleman, he thought.

"My love, you’ve misunderstood," he said gently. "I didn’t an that. Co on, I’m taking you sowhere!"

"Hm?"

Before Su Qingxue could react, Ye Fan swept her forcefully into his arms. If he wasn’t a bit forceful, could he even be called a man?

By the ti she gathered her wits, Ye Fan had already brought her to a very quiet place. The lighting was romantic and warm, making it a lovely spot. But the area was empty, and Su Qingxue had no idea why he had brought her here.

"Close your eyes!" Ye Fan said.

"Why?" she asked.

"No ti for explanations!"

He had wanted to say, ’No ti to explain, get in the car,’ but he couldn’t reveal his ’old driver’ side right now. So, he simply covered her eyes, ignoring her protests.

When he uncovered her eyes, a single rose petal drifted down, landing perfectly on her shoulder. Su Qingxue caught the petal, inhaling its fragrance.

"It’s a rose petal!" she exclaid.

"No," Ye Fan said with a smile. "It’s a rain of roses."

Sure enough, the mont he spoke, a countless shower of rose petals began to fall from the sky. Su Qingxue was ecstatic. The petals fell continuously, blanketing the ground in a carpet of roses.

She cried out to the heavens, releasing years of pent-up frustration and sorrow. Moved to tears, she hugged Ye Fan tightly in the shower of petals. "Darling, thank you for everything you’ve done for !"

Ye Fan smiled. "You’re welco. It’s just you and

here. This rain of roses is a testant to our love."

"When will it stop?"

They sat down, and Su Qingxue rested her head on Ye Fan’s shoulder. Although she was physically exhausted, at that mont, she only felt a deep sense of peace.

"It will fall until the end of ti," Ye Fan said.

"Really? That’s wonderful," Su Qingxue said dreamily.

Not far away, several won watched them with envy.

"I wish I could have such a spectacular wedding too!" Fang Nan said wistfully.

Qin Yanran replied from beside her, "You will. But we agreed to let Little Sister Qingxue have this grand wedding, didn’t we?"

"You’re right," Fang Nan said. "Although I’ve competed with her for so many years, I never really hated her, and I don’t think she ever hated . Our rivalry seed to beco a sort of playful ga between us."

The thought that Su Qingxue could die at any mont saddened her. Even though they loved the sa man, she had co to genuinely like and admire such a beautiful and intelligent woman from the bottom of her heart.

As Su Qingxue rested on Ye Fan’s shoulder, her body suddenly trembled. She coughed up a mouthful of blood, the fresh, crimson droplets splattering starkly against the rose petals.

She collapsed weakly.

Panic seized Ye Fan the mont he saw it.
