Chapter 147: Chapter 146 Sudden Chaos

"If Laozi weren’t in a hurry, I’d have killed you today!" Ye Fan said coldly. He fiercely let go, and Chen Ke was thrown to the ground, his head spinning. Ye Fan then quickly left with Mu Wanxin. Although he wasn’t afraid of minor troubles, they could sotis be a real headache.

Chen Ke’s two bodyguards struggled to their feet, but Ye Fan and Mu Wanxin were already long gone.

About ten minutes later, Chen Ke had mostly recovered. He said furiously, "That kid dared to insult ! I won’t let him get away with this!"

His anger had reached its peak, but one of his bodyguards advised, "Young Master, don’t be impulsive. That man is no simple character."

"Aren’t you from the Heavenly Mountain Sect? Call on the sect and kill him!" Chen Ke seethed.

At this, his bodyguard replied, "Young Master, we are only responsible for your protection; we will not bring trouble upon the Heavenly Mountain Sect. That man’s strength is imnse. He subdued both of us with a single move. I believe his power surpasses even that of our Sect Master. He is not soone the Heavenly Mountain Sect can afford to provoke!"

"Useless! You’re all a bunch of useless cowards! In any case, I can’t swallow this insult. Once Laozi finds him, Laozi will kill him!" Chen Ke said, unwilling to let it go. It was incredibly embarrassing, especially since so many people had witnessed Ye Fan take them down.

"The chairman has warned you before, Young Master, not to provoke people from the underground forces. Perhaps you should consult with the chairman about this first," one of his bodyguards suggested.

"Hmph! Laozi has been bullied to this point, and you want

to discuss it with my dad? This is non-negotiable! Go and gather information on him. Once you find him, I’ll kill him!" Chen Ke said coldly.

The two bodyguards could only smile wryly and shake their heads. Although the Chen family possessed considerable wealth, it was nothing compared to the underground forces. They prayed their adversary wasn’t a major figure, never imagining that he was, in fact, the King of Heaven, a na renowned throughout the entire underground world.

Upon arriving at the train station, Mu Wanxin asked Ye Fan, "Honey, did I cause you trouble just now?"

"No, how could you?" Ye Fan laughed. "The southwestern border can be a little chaotic sotis, but don’t worry. As long as I’m here, no one can hurt you!"

"Mhm!" Mu Wanxin murmured, snuggling contentedly into his arms.

The train was scheduled for nine in the evening, and it was only a little past seven, leaving them with more than an hour to wait. Seeing that Mu Wanxin’s stomach was already growling with hunger, Ye Fan hurried to the station restaurant. "Boss, two boxed als, please!"

The station’s boxed als were relatively upscale, costing over fifty yuan each.

However, the owner replied, "Sorry, we only have one left!"

"Damn it!" Ye Fan muttered in frustration. Why does all the bad luck happen to ? "Alright, I’ll take the one, then," he said.

Mu Wanxin was playing on her phone while she waited. Before long, Ye Fan returned, carrying a cup of instant noodles and an exquisite boxed al. "Honey, co and eat," he said. "We’re a bit rushed for ti. Once we reach our destination, I’ll take you out for a delicious al!"

"Mhm! Thank you, honey!" Mu Wanxin said, about to take the instant noodles, but Ye Fan handed her the exquisite boxed al instead. The gesture moved her deeply.

A perfect man protects you when you’re in danger and cares for you down to the smallest details. In my heart, Ye Fan is that perfect man. It was impossible for her not to be moved. A woman’s heart is a strange thing; sotis, the most trivial kindness can fill it with sweetness.

The train departed. The journey ahead would take about six hours.

Ye Fan’s Martial Arts practice kept his body strong and free from fatigue, but Mu Wanxin was different. After rushing to catch planes and trains all day, she was already exhausted. Ye Fan drew her into his arms, and she soon fell soundly asleep against him.

The train sped into the night, its passage shattering the dark and silent solitude. Inside, vendors hawked their wares, hyping up their products with wild exaggerations. The car grew surprisingly lively, with many passengers cheering them on.

Just then, a woman wearing a mask and a fashionable hat sat down opposite Ye Fan. She wore casual jeans that perfectly accentuated her figure. Although he couldn’t see her full face, the visible sliver and her eyes alone told Ye Fan that she was a stunning beauty. After she sat down, two n took the seats beside her, while three more sat in the row behind.

Martial Artists! Ye Fan thought in shock. The woman herself possessed no martial ability, but he could sense that the five n with her were undoubtedly experts who had all reached the Inner Strength Level. Their power was not to be underestimated. From their postures, which shift between deliberate and casual, it’s clear the five of them are here to protect her. But I don’t understand why a group with so many bodyguards would choose to take the train instead of a plane or a private car. I really can’t figure it out.

Just then, the n seed to notice Ye Fan’s deep gaze. Two of them reached into their clothes, ready to draw their weapons at a mont’s notice. But when Ye Fan looked away, their hands slowly retracted. They’re clearly nervous, but why? With a lineup like this, no one short of a Postnatal Master should be able to touch them. He scanned the car again. There don’t seem to be any other Martial Artists around. What are they so tense about? Could the person they’re wary of also be on this train? But there’s no one else strong nearby.

Ye Fan pulled Mu Wanxin closer, ready to protect her if anything happened.

The train made frequent stops along the route. At the next station, a large number of passengers began to disembark, throwing the car into chaos. The masked woman’s gaze hardened.

"Let’s go!" she whispered.

Her guards began to escort her away. However, disaster struck when they were only about six ters from Ye Fan. The two bodyguards beside the woman cried out in pain and collapsed. Ye Fan saw that they had been taken down, blood flowing from wounds on their chests. The car descended into chaos. The disembarking passengers, in particular, panicked at the sight, and the situation quickly spun out of control.

"Protect the young lady!" the remaining three guards shouted, their vigilance sharpening.

From the surging crowd, two n burst out, rushing toward them. These n were also powerful; both were Martial Artists at the peak of the Inner Strength Level. In terms of pure combat power, they were much stronger than the three bodyguards. They quickly drew their daggers and engaged the guards in a fierce struggle. In the cramped train car, they were temporarily held back by the three guards’ defensive line, but it was clear it would not hold for long.

"Young lady, go! Now!" one of the guards shouted frantically.

Many passengers were desperately trying to escape. The train’s security personnel were hurrying over but were blocked by the panicked crowd. Ye Fan knew that given the attackers’ strength, the security personnel would be useless even if they did manage to arrive.

The woman quickly turned to flee, but in her panic, she stumbled and fell right into Ye Fan’s arms. Mu Wanxin, who had just woken up, saw this happen. She didn’t know exactly what was going on, but she could certainly tell that their train car had erupted into chaos.

The woman struggled out of Ye Fan’s embrace and tried to flee again. Suddenly, a window shattered, and a figure in black leaped in from outside. The figure was powerful. Ye Fan sensed that this opponent was also at the Inner Strength Level—a formidable strength. Holding a dagger, the attacker charged directly at Ye Fan and the woman.

In that critical mont, Ye Fan shot his foot out, tripping the dark-clad figure. The man crashed to the floor face-first.

The woman had just gotten back to her feet, intending to run, when one of her stumbling bodyguards crashed into her. Just as she was about to be slamd against a table, Ye Fan caught her once more.

Mu Wanxin was utterly panicked. She had never witnessed such a violent scene outside of television. The scene was intense and terrifyingly dangerous.
