Chapter 113: Chapter 112: Exposing the Trump Card
Just as Wu Shiyin was wondering how to respond, Ye Fan suddenly pulled her into his arms, causing a ferocious rage to flare in Lie Huo’s eyes.
"Now you know who I am!" Ye Fan declared.
Young Master Wu and Yoshimura Takuya knew that while Ye Fan’s survival had been uncertain a mont ago, now he was definitely going to die, and gruesoly at that!
"Are you testing my limits?" Lie Huo asked.
"What do you think!" Ye Fan retorted, his presence in no way inferior. Though he hadn’t revealed his strength, he remained perfectly composed in the face of the formidable Lie Huo.
"Die!" Lie Huo stomped his foot, sending the wooden floorboards flying toward Ye Fan and Wu Shiyin.
Wu Shiyin was petrified. Just when she thought they couldn’t dodge, the boards abruptly halted in front of Ye Fan before clattering to the ground piece by piece.
He said to Wu Shiyin, "Go take care of Yaoyao. I’ll handle this guy."
"Mm-hmm!" For so reason, seeing Ye Fan’s confidence bolstered her own, and she hurried off to tend to Yaoyao.
At that mont, Young Master Wu mocked, "His Excellency has co himself. Today is the day you die!"
"Is that so?" Ye Fan replied disdainfully. He then suddenly said to Lie Huo, "Underworld Martial Artists are forbidden from oppressing Mortal Martial Artists. You’ve crossed the line."
Lie Huo sneered, "Hahaha, I always do as I please. So what if I cross the line? Who would dare try to control ?"
Ye Fan responded, "Arrogance is your style, but it’s also your death warrant!"
"Hmph! Boy, I’d like to see what you have to fight
with! Not only will you die for daring to approach my woman, but she will die too!" Lie Huo said coldly.
"You’re not qualified to decide whether I live or die!" Ye Fan shot back.
He abruptly charged forward, taking the initiative. His Dragon Essence Power was under his firm control, his strength as dazzling as the radiant moon. Lie Huo made his move, his power one of pure dominance that raged toward Ye Fan. The two imdiately exchanged a punch in the middle of the hall.
BOOM!
The hall collapsed with a thunderous crash, completely reduced to ruins. Their power was so fierce that Yoshimura Takuya and the others had to scramble out of the wreckage. They never imagined that human strength could be so formidable; if the room had been made of any material other than wood, they would surely have been crushed to death. In the center of the wreckage, Ye Fan and Lie Huo now stood on the open ground.
Lie Huo was shocked to his core. He was astonished that Ye Fan actually had the strength to contend with him, knowing full well that his last attack had been powerful. Even so, it had been unable to harm him. In contrast, Ye Fan showed no signs of disturbance, instead wearing a mocking expression.
The young masters, especially Young Master Wu and Yoshimura Takuya, were stunned. The fact that Ye Fan had the strength to stand up to this prominent figure was far beyond their expectations. Yoshimura Takuya clenched his fists, his heart filled with indignation. Could this attempt at revenge fail as well? At this mont, he pinned all his hopes on Lie Huo.
Lie Huo asked Ye Fan, "Who exactly are you? Since you know the rules of the underworld, you must be one of us. So why haven’t I ever heard of you?"
"I’ll tell you who I am right before you die!" Ye Fan said.
"You overestimate yourself! Let
show you the aning of true dominance!" He began to channel his power. All the surrounding nature’s spiritual energy converged on him, displaying an overwhelming force. His physical body was imnsely powerful, every fiber of his being saturated with dominance.
"An Innate Expert!" Ye Fan stated. Instantly, Young Master Wu and Yoshimura Takuya were shocked. An Innate Expert was a powerhouse on the verge of becoming a King, just one step away from that level of strength.
What they couldn’t understand was why Ye Fan remained completely unfazed. Could he actually be stronger than an Innate Expert? No matter how they considered it, they couldn’t believe it. The power of an Innate Expert was enough to make one’s blood run cold; they refused to believe Ye Fan was qualified to fight one.
anwhile, soone else was watching these events from the shadows: Wu Shiyin. It would be a lie to say she wasn’t scared, but when she saw Ye Fan’s imnse strength, she was suddenly filled with hope. She didn’t need Ye Fan to kill Lie Huo; if he could just defeat him, she would finally be free from his tornt and control.
Lie Huo said coldly to Ye Fan, "Even though you’re from the underworld, you have no idea what the true limits of a Martial Artist are! Die, brat!"
This strike seed to twist the very air. Such was the power of an Innate Expert, also known as a Great Grandmaster. If the acquired stage was the limit of humanity, then an Innate Expert was a master who had surpassed that limit. Throughout the entire underworld, those who could reach the Innate stage were so few they could be counted on one hand. Lie Huo was just such a dazzling individual.
The sheer force of his aura made the anxious Young Master Wu and Yoshimura Takuya breathe a sigh of relief. Yoshimura Takuya, in particular, was finally witnessing the might of Shen Zhou Martial Arts. He felt that Lie Huo could be compared to the ultimate Ninjutsu masters among the Jintian Group’s elders. Those elders were like gods within the Jintian Group and never erged from their seclusion. He was certain that at this level of power, almost no one aside from a few Kings could possibly withstand it. Because of this, they had already sentenced Ye Fan to death in their hearts.
Ye Fan also moved, refusing to just stand there and await his doom. "Is this what you call the power of dominance?" he spoke with disdain. "Then I’ll let you know what true dominance is!"
At that, Ye Fan charged. His body was like that of a ferocious beast, his muscles churning as if forged from steel and iron as he clashed with Lie Huo.
Instantly, Lie Huo’s swift and tyrannical force was crushed by Ye Fan, almost completely shattered. He was sent flying, coughing up mouthfuls of blood. He had been defeated in a single move.
At this point, Yoshimura Takuya and Young Master Wu lost all courage. Lie Huo was their greatest trump card, the Wu Family’s biggest backing. Now that he had been defeated, their conviction was truly shattered. A Martial Artist thought to be on par with a King had been defeated so utterly and decisively.
In truth, from Ye Fan’s perspective, although Lie Huo was strong, especially his physique, he was nowhere near the level of a King. Every King was a Martial Arts King, and Lie Huo was still a long way off.
Seizing the mont while Lie Huo was still reeling, Ye Fan struck him on the head with his palm. Lie Huo felt as if he had been struck by lightning and fell into a stupor. He seed to have entered his weakest state, his body wobbling, lacking even the strength to walk.
He suddenly collapsed. To Wu Shiyin, his fall signified her liberation. To Young Master Wu and the others, their faces turned ashen, as if they were staring at death itself. Once Lie Huo was down, their ambitions and plans would be annihilated along with him.
