Hugo's eyes cracked open slowly, his body feeling pleasantly sore, his mind still foggy with sleep.
The first thing he registered was warmth—soft, clinging warmth sprawled across his chest.
He blinked down and found Lisa, completely draped over him like an adorable human koala, her cheek pressed against his skin, arms wrapped around him tightly, and one leg possessively thrown over his waist.
Her lips were slightly parted, and soft, delicate snores escaped them.
Hugo's lips twitched.
'Cute. Too cute. How is this the sa woman who was an absolute succubi last night?'
Her dark lashes fluttered against her cheeks, her ssy hair cascading over his shoulder.
Even asleep, she was holding onto him like he was a prized possession that might disappear if she let go.
Nostalgic…
Hugo's gaze softened as he thought back to the morning after his first system death mission.
She had been just as clingy, just as exhausted, and just as breathtaking. Only back then, he had still been overwheld by everything—the missions, the chaos, his new life.
Now? Now he was in full control, and last night had been living proof. He had grown as a man in all aspects and he hadn't even reached his limit yet.
But back to Lisa...
A smirk tugged at his lips.
'I really gave her the best ride of her life, huh?'
He didn't need to be an expert to know that he had slain her the night before. She had almost fainted from the overwhelming pleasure!
Lisa stirred slightly, nuzzling against his chest with a content sigh. Hugo almost didn't want to move—almost.
But a man had things to do. Important things. Like making breakfast in bed for his beautiful girlfriend.
Very, very carefully, he peeled her off him, maneuvering her clingy limbs with the precision of a bomb disposal expert.
The mont her grip loosened, he bolted out of bed and into the bathroom before she could latch onto him again.
—Later, in the kitchen—
Hugo stood before the cooker, arms crossed, brows furrowed, contemplating his next move.
'Alright. Simple breakfast. Nothing too complicated. I got this.'
He knew how to cook a little, but he couldn't really call himself a pro either.
It mostly the sa case of knowing the theoreticals but lacking the practical aspects...
Anyway, he could only try.
He cracked an egg. Half of it landed in the pan. The other half… well, it went sowhere. He wasn't sure where, but it was sowhere.
Okay. No big deal. Eggs are overrated anyway.
He moved on to making pancakes. The first one was too burnt. The second was raw in the middle.
The third? The third sohow ended up on the ceiling. It was testant to the fact that advertisents were all fake and lies...
No pancake could fly so high and remain the sa...
Hugo stared at the disaster zone that was Lisa's kitchen.
This is war.
Summoning all his inner strength, he took a deep breath, re strategized, and finally—finally—managed to make a simple yet glorious breakfast.
It was golden toast, perfectly scrambled eggs (after three failed attempts), crispy bacon, and fresh fruit. He plated it with a flourish and took a victorious bite.
His eyes widened.
'Wait… this is actually good!'
His chest puffed up in pride. He was getting more talented at almost everything with or without mastery points!
He was about to plate the al on a tray when—
"Hugo?"
He turned, and there she was—Lisa, fresh out of the shower, hair still damp, wearing his fitted t shirt.
Goddamn.
The fabric clung to her in all the right places, snug against her curves, but still loose enough to give her an effortlessly sexy look.
His brain short circuited for a second.
She looks so good in my clothes. Do I propose now or later?
Of course it was later! He was still a poor college student with nothing to his na but a brand new Benz...
"Good morning, beautiful," he said smoothly, as if he wasn't just internally malfunctioning.
Lisa's lips curled into a sleepy, sweet smile, and she walked up to him, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to his lips.
Hugo grinned and lifted the tray. "Made breakfast for you."
He half expected her to blush or smile at him sweetly, but she did the opposite.
Lisa froze. Then, very slowly, she narrowed her eyes at the food, taking a cautious step back.
"…I'm afraid of food poisoning..."
Hugo gaped at her. "Excuse ?! I worked hard on this!"
Lisa folded her arms, eyeing the al like it was a live bomb. "You. Cooking. That's suspicious."
"I'll have you know I successfully made this without burning the house down!" Hugo declared proudly.
Lisa raised a skeptical eyebrow. "Define successfully."
Hugo dramatically took another bite. "Taste it and find out."
Lisa sighed, picked up a fork, and hesitantly took a bite. The mont the food hit her tongue, her eyes widened.
"…Wait. This is actually good?"
Hugo crossed his arms smugly. "Told you."
Lisa shook her head in disbelief before smiling. "Fine. You win this round."
As she ate, Hugo leaned against the counter, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips.

"So… how are your legs feeling?"
Lisa choked on her food.
Hugo grinned wider. "I an, you were pretty wild last night."
Lisa's face turned scarlet.
"HUGO!" she shrieked, lunging at him.
Hugo laughed and dodged her attacks, dancing around the kitchen as she tried to land a hit on him.
Then, in a swift move, he grabbed her waist, pulled her against him, and sealed her lips with his, silencing her complaints instantly.
Lisa lted into the kiss, her hands gripping his arms. When they finally broke apart, she stared up at him, her expression suddenly nervous.
"…Hugo," she whispered. "What are we?"
Hugo froze for a second.
Ah. The dreaded question for all n.
But he was already prepared. He tilted her chin up, t her gaze, and with absolute certainty, he said—
"You're mine. And I'm yours."
Lisa's eyes widened slightly before a smile slowly spread across her lips. She cupped his face, kissed him once more, and murmured against his lips—
"Good answer."
