Supreme BeastTamer: I Can Copy and Upgrade Skills 10x! Chapter 597: Returning to the hideout [Fixed]
"What do you want?" Elise growled, her eyes flickering with an intense fla. The Inferno Dragon had adopted a defensive stance and summoned rings of fla that whirled in front of her.
Similarly, even Zara had summoned a two-ter frost spear, the tip gleaming nacingly under the glare of the corrupted sun.
"Hahahaha." Garren chuckled as if he found their actions amusing. He didn't seem threatened in the slightest, which made the two girls even more cautious about him.
"What I want?" said Garren as he stepped forward confidently. As he did, the two girls took a single step back, their expressions turning even more serious.
Tension crackled through the air like an elastic drawn taut, waiting to be released.
"I want you both to join my faction," Garren declared. "Although I'm no fan of one of the eight elents, I'll compromise for you two."
He paused, his gaze lingering on the faces of Elise and Zara, and his eyes glead with lust. The two girls clearly saw it and beca infuriated, but they didn't dare initiate the first attack.
Even though he was yet to do anything, there was this nagging feeling at the bottom of their hearts that if they fought this man, they'd be brutally defeated.
"So, what do you say, ladies? Join the Broken Claw and not only will I give you treasures, I'll also give you the honor of joining my harem."
Garren had been in this realm for as long as he could rember. He didn't know if it was because of the corrupted air or sothing else, but he found the females here extrely boring. Now that he had seen two delicate beauties such as these, he couldn't help but let his imagination run wild.
Garren licked his lips, his eyes roaming across the bodies of the two beauties. He trailed his gaze over their flawless skin and long legs.
"Bastard! If you think we will follow you, then you must be the biggest moron in the world!" At that mont, Zara finally snapped, her expression turning furious.
Without hesitation, she launched the ice spikes forward. The spike created a whooshing sound as it split through the air, flying straight toward Garren's heart. At the sa ti, Elise also fired a giant flaming ball wide enough to consu the large man.
"Hahahaha, so this is how you ladies want to play?" Garren laughed as he charged forward. His palm shot forward and he casually slapped the two-ter ice spike away, shattering it mid-air.
As for the giant flaming ball, Garren faced it head-on with a mad gleam in his eye and a barbaric smile splitting across his face. His arms were suddenly shrouded in corrupted dark flas.
Garren tore through the flas and burst out the other side, his jaws splitting open as a ball of dark fla shot forward, heading right for Elise.
Elise froze for a mont, never expecting Garren to turn the tables around so quickly. Fortunately for her—
BOOOM!
A wall of ice erupted before her, stopping the corrupted flas. But even the wall couldn't withstand the corruption. Like a hungry beast, the dark flas devoured it easily.
"We can't fight him—let's go!" Zara was very smart when it ca to picking fights. She knew this wasn't one they could win, so the best thing to do was run!
"Hahahaha! Let be damned if I let you lot escape!"
As they tried to flee, Garren's boisterous laughter echoed behind them as if he were just ters away.
Without looking back, Elise conjured a pulsing flaming ball the size of a soccer ball and hurled it behind her at the powerful presence.
BOOOM!
The first ball landed just in front of Garren and imdiately exploded in a flare of orange, pushing the enemy back slightly—but this was not the result Elise was hoping for.
She proceeded to hurl a couple more flaming balls.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"Tsk. Annoying." Garren clicked his tongue in irritation as he stomped the ground. The earth cracked beneath him as his body shot upward.
Garren soared into the air like a cannonball, dark flas swirling around his body, his eyes shining with delight.
"You're not going anywhere!" His voice bood across the sky, and the force behind it made the very air tremble.
"Zara—above us!" Elise warned.
"Leave him for !" Zara didn't hesitate. She spun mid-run, her frost spear extending into an ice whip. With a flick of her wrist, the whip cracked through the air, aiming to coil around Garren's legs mid-air.
SHLASH!!
The whip wrapped tightly around him—but Garren only smirked. His corrupted flas burned violently, lting the ice whip like hot tal through snow.
"Nice try," he growled, and with a savage roar, he dived like a predator falling on the two.
Elise gritted her teeth and spun, planting her feet. The heat around her ignited. "Don't you dare touch us!"
WHOOM!!
A pillar of fire surged up to et him, roaring with explosive force. The inferno swallowed Garren whole mid-descent.
The two girls didn't wait to see if their attack had done any damage—they fled the scene as fast as they could.
For so ti, there was silence. But then—
A blackened fist burst through the flas, smashing straight into the ground where the girls had been just monts ago. Then his full body erged.
Just as they had expected, he was unscathed, grinning ear to ear like a demon who had just found his playthings.
He began to walk toward them slowly.
"Run if you like. Struggle. Scream. It only makes the hunt more fun."
The two exchanged a glance mid-run, and Elise nodded at Zara. Suddenly, the Frost Princess's gaze hardened as she swiftly turned again and—
FWOOOSH! FWOOOSH! FWOOOSH!
A barrage of frost arrows rained from above, forcing Garren to halt and raise a corrupted barrier. Dozens of icy projectiles struck, bursting on impact and clouding the area in thick mist.
"Tsk. It seems I lost them," Garren muttered as he stepped out of the mist. A mont later, the cloak of corrupted fla that had shrouded him slowly faded as his gaze swept around his surroundings.
"Well, we'll et again very soon," he said and decided to return to his hideout.
anwhile, Zara and Elise stopped running to catch their breath. After making sure they weren't followed, they returned to their hideout to report everything.
Just as they arrived, the other two teams also returned—with their own findings.
