Inside the Taming Space
A frown appeared on the elder dragon's face, and his eyes twitched. The elder dragon thought the afterlife was too soft and cozy.
His mories were all over the place, but even then, he rembered how he had ended up in this state clearly.
Dracos! That damned Frost Monarch had completely overwheld him. The fact that he had made it seem so easy caused a burning fla of anger to surge in the elder dragon's heart.
Then he also rembered that disgusting Hybrid. When the elder dragon thought about Nox, he had expected to feel intense anger in his heart—an anger even more intense than the one directed at the Frost Monarch.
However, instead of rage, he… he felt reverence.
"What's this?!" the elder dragon scread in his mind. He was supposed to hate him with passion, so what was this strange feeling… why did it feel as if he could lay down his life for his master?
"Wait, did I just refer to him as master?" The Legendary-Tier Frost Dragon beca even more perplexed, and as the seconds ticked by, he seed to spiral into a daze.
The elder dragon tried to think about his last mont.
"Yes, that kid—no, master—had placed his hand on . Dammit, I'm still referring to him as master... what's happening to !" The elder dragon felt like pulling his hair. "Why… why… have I beco a slave?"
No matter how hard he tried to recall, the Frost Dragon couldn't rember what had happened during his last monts. All he could tell was that sohow, he had lost the natural will all sentient beings possessed.
He felt like a hollow of his forr self.
Realizing that his chest was still beating and he still possessed the ability to think, the elder dragon slowly opened his eyes.
The first person he saw in his line of sight was—
"A Panda?!"
Those big icy eyes were staring into his with intense curiosity and sothing more… warmth.
Why warmth?
Why was the damned panda staring at him with warmth?
Wait, more importantly, why did he see this low creature as his kin?
As if on cue, he heard sounds and his gaze swept around, realizing that the panda wasn't the only one present.
There was a shadowy cat that looked like a panther, a rock golem, a beautiful blue python with mischievous eyes, a humanoid mushroom creature, a jellyfish, a flaming bed, a spectral spirit wolf, and an orc. However, among all the beasts present, the one who emitted the most terrifying aura was—
—the Dreadfiend Tyrant, with its double axe. The colossal beast was casually seated in a ditative posture, as if the elder dragon wasn't even a concern.
"Heavens, could this day get any worse?" Yes, the elder dragon knew that wasn't a real word, but it was the only way he could describe this scene—which looked like sothing a drug addict might fantasize about while high.
What made it even weirder was the fact that the elder dragon felt a connection with all the beasts present.
"I an, how is this even possible?" he mumbled to himself as he slowly jumped to his feet from his sleeping position.
"Welco to the family, old man." Fluffington was the one who spoke first, looking at the elder dragon with arrogance.
"Who are you?! Where is this place? What am I even doing here?!" the elder dragon demanded, taking a defensive stance. Ice curled around his fists, turning them into gauntlets.
The elder dragon expected the beasts to show so trace of fear. However, they only observed him with confusion on their faces.
"You ask too many questions." Fluffington, who had assud the position of temporary leader, spoke.
"I'm going to pretend I'm not talking to a cat, but go on," the elder dragon urged.
"You're currently in the taming space of our beloved master." Solora spoke with a respectful tone.
"Yes. You're no longer in the real world," Fluffington nodded. "And as for who we are, you can call us your sibkins, or friends, or whatever you like."
The elder dragon listened to the beasts and felt like he would go mad if he remained here any longer.

On the Outside
Lumi stared at him for a long mont.
Then finally, she asked what she had probably been holding back all along.
"What are you?"
When the corrupted dragons attacked, Lumi hadn't returned to the Light Dragon Kingdom like her father and the others. She had decided to stay back because she wanted to learn more about the mysterious Kawl.
Besides, Lumi was confident her father, Thomas Celestis, was more than powerful enough to fend off the corrupted beasts—as long as the alpha didn't show up.
It wasn't blind confidence. Rather, it was because she had witnessed her father perform impossible feats in the past.
Nox also felt like sighing. First, it was the Supre Court, and now also this Light Princess. If his grandpa or mother were here, Nox was certain they'd have teased him for attracting princesses everywhere he went.
Of course, he didn't feel any obligation to reveal his identity to this princess. Though he wanted her in his army and would like to nurture her into one of his beast army generals, he felt it was not the right ti.
"For now, I'm Kawl from Frostpire," Nox said. "Just like you have secrets, I also have secrets of my own. But when the conditions are right, I'll reveal my true identity to you."
He stepped forward. Lumi didn't flinch, even when Nox stroked her head. She maintained a stoic face.
"Well, see you then," Nox said as he disappeared into the distance.
It was only after he was gone that Lumi's stoic expression crumbled, and her cheeks flushed red.
"Kawl for now... does this an..." Lumi thought, slightly in a daze. "Does this an he's really hiding sothing?"
She clenched her fists, her eyes shining with resolve. "I need to find more information about him." A beautiful smile slowly blood on her face. "Just maybe… maybe my dreams of having a powerful big brother might beco a reality."
At the end of the day, Lumi was just a ten-year-old. If Nox knew the powerful Light Princess wanted to adopt him, he would be at a loss for words.
After running for so ti, Nox found a secluded place and proceeded to call the Elder Frost Dragon out.
It was ti to put his plan into motion.
